    He is right to a point, I always gave the benefit of the doubt, it is how our family was raised. Over time what changed that was how badly I got destroyed by people taking advantage of it, after many years of that I learned to be less naive. Now days it comes down to starting with limited trust, and they can earn the rest. Something you can never train out of a human, is being human, great wishful thinking and theory on his part though.

    "Part of the difficulty in developing trust is your attempt to do impossible things. Therefore, it is necessary for us to counsel you not to do impossible things. They require great energy, even though they seem to stimulate your sense of self-determination. The more difficult the adversity, the greater the prize and the greater the sense of personal reward you anticipate. But in the end, it all becomes impossible and you give up. Then you have the opportunity to know something.
    When something is true and you are working at it, even if there is adversity, it is a whole different experience. Everything makes you stronger not weaker. Here cooperation and adversity both activate Knowledge even more powerfully. Instead of becoming weaker, you become stronger. Instead of becoming more disassociated, you become more certain."

    Inspiring talk. I sincerely believe we have much to learn from children. Indeed "being with them" is truly the critical part as Mr Erts says.

      @@aylbdrmadison1051 I think he's not advocating lying as such , more likely something along the lines of "fake it 'til you make it" ,believing/acting as if you have self-confidence to get people to trust/work with you and together. Regardless ,what he says after the 10' mark is what I'm referring to.

    We grow in time to trust the future for our answers. However, it can be hard to trust when all we have from the past is evidence why we should not. Which is why we should not trust words; we should trust only actions 🖖

    1:12 He fully admits to *lying to gain trust,* then tries to convince us that *he knows* that to gain the trust of others, we must also lie. It does not work that way, trust is a 2-way street and he just proved beyond all reasonable doubt his word cannot be trusted.
    That's a damned shame too because the other things he says are healthy and true. But he has broken trust already and left the door wide open for others to mistrust the good things he does say.

    • @jodhan90
      @jodhan90 4 года назад +1

      What he describes is more the way our current system works.
      And by admitting that he has done the same he shows what is wrong in the system and that it isn't just something other people are doing.
      The problem is everywhere in marketing. Most of the time people don't trust you, so they rather tell you a lie than taking a risk in telling the truth.
      How often have you seen someone that says: My product is mediocre but at least it works.

    I’d argue the definition of a lie, that it should include an intent to deceive rather than an intent to understand, which is an entrepreneurial venture and destined to failure (as is the fate of all theory).

      what you should feel is anger then frustration which leads you to either do some thing about it in the moment or let it bake but respect should be regained at least for your self , you should learn to mange your emotional curves and in to what category they belong , saying ' depression '' will make youe depressed ,w e think the way we speak and we speak the way we think
