  • Life in a tiny house lends itself to quiet concerts and honest conversations. So I've been inviting some of my favorite Bay Area musicians to play some tunes and talk about their lives as indie artists.
Today, singer/songwriter Rick Hardin talks about his life growing up on a farm in Sonoma, California, his first job working-and harmonizing-with birds, and why he takes his time crafting a song after inspiration strikes.
Rick quickly became a fan favorite of the San Francisco music scene in the mid 2000s. In 2007, KFOG 104.5 FM selected his song "Yeah Yeah Yeah" for their Local Scene album. He's gone on to release stellar albums produced by Bonnie Hayes and Scott Mickelson.
He's also been one of the most popular acts from my house concert series. But I'd never really had a chance to talk with him about his life and his creative process until now. Hope you enjoy the conversation. Let me know who you'd like to see in the next episodes.
