I like the Keen Hawk looks, like you said they don't come up often! I know it is one of the bodies some folks are not wild about but I like it a lot. Have fun when you head to Australia, that should be one heck of an adventure!
It would be good to see family battles eg Astute/Avante/Optima/RC10 families etc with 10 timed laps of each stock but with the same electronics etc and your thoughts on each in comparison to their peers.
Nice one, Keith (your track is really off the chart 💪). In my opinion, that DF03 was lacking a little oomph (Superstock BZ TZ RZ next time please ?) 😉 😁 🤝
Cool buggy. I bought one of these for my oldest son, back around 2007-ish. It was the Keen Hawk version, and the body wasn't pre painted. These things handle really nice and jump well. I put a bunch of hop ups on his, including after market shocks. I think they drooped a bit much because it kept munching the front inboard drive cups. Hopefully fixed that now though. Which reminds me I have to take it back to my son.
This is what i like to see. A good honest car without being completely over powered with brushless nonsense. Tamiya cars where never ment for brushless in my opinion anyway.
Hey Keith, certainly right my friend. Tyres are everything, you can have all the power in the world, but not being able to put that power down to the surface, may as well pack up and go home 😂😊😂. I’ve been looking at the DF-03 platform, plenty of Dark Impacts around, was contemplating one 🤔. Best of luck in Australia, hope you have some great racing 😊😊best wishes to you and the family 😎🖐️😉
Biggest letdown for me with the DF03 is the battery placement, it makes it difficult to run larger nimh batteres, I shoved an orion 13t triple motor in mine and it really gave it a boost for when I take it down to the beach running on the compact sand.
It's always a good day to see something you've never heard of before, but watching it run is a bonus. Cool buggy Keith
Unreal!!! Cheers Keith, you are turning into a Legend in my books!
That track is awesome👍 great run👍
Yeah buddy that buggy running super smooth on your track. 😊
Hello from Australia. Cool track, DF03 great novice 4wd.

Good looking buggy I have never seen when thanks for sharing

I quite like the Keen Hawk, nice looking bodyshell!!
Nice Keith, I love mine on the track.. tires are everything for sure. Beautiful car bud.
I like the look of the Keen Hawk, definitely got a sweet track out there.
She looks great mate
Wow, I don’t think I’ve ever seen one of these. I really like that body, has that pro stock style scoop like the big wig.. neat car buddy

Dope track
Looks like fun as usual.
I still remember this one coming to market bitd. I like it also. I always thought it was a cool semi competition chassis type.
Definitely a well balanced car that handles well with pin spikes😅😅😅

Wish I had a d f 03.
Nice!!
Wow that body looks amazing. I think your right on the full spikes Keith the tamiya tires are only great on pavement 😂 it seams. Awesome car.
That does not make sense at all.
@@AsurasWrath164 cool story bro.
What a champ
I like the body also. It’s a spaceship. But hey tamiya been doing spaceships for while now
more power
The df03 might need a motor upgrade... a tamiya silver can isn't powerful enough.
What really confuses me is why tamiya did not go for mod 0.6 or even 48p gears... i would change that in a heartbeat.
Those are more of a carpet tire
