I've been looking for a plant designer in vain. I'm glad to have stumbled on this channel
Finally! I’ve been struggling to figure out how to incorporate my 100 plants into my small apartment without making it look like I live in a plant nursery. Thank you!
Happy to help!
this is the best plant styling video i've seen! really appreciate how you described the interior design principles behind the styling in addition to understanding the struggles of a crazy plant parent 🤣
Thank you so much! And the crazy plant parent struggle is real!
Thank you for this video! In the past, I have been a plant killer (I tend to over water), but I now have a plant that I’ve somehow managed to keep alive for the past five years. It lived through a house fire this year, so I’ll be damned if I let this thing die now! But now I think it needs friends. And when we move back into our rebuilt house, I get to fix all my previous interior design mistakes, so I’d like to start with something green.
I can't get enough of designing with houseplants!!
This is a good video. I liked it all. The tall begonia is beautiful! I want one.
I loved all of these approaches. I could incorporate each of these ideas in different areas of my home and be happy. Great vid. TFS.
Thank you!
love this! I'm the maximalist with a minimalist heart. organized and lots for me :) my plants are spread out in multiple areas of my home. really enjoying them, even the struggles are worth it. you could totally put a grow bulb in the monkey light! just saying!
Thanks so much! And ooh I hadn’t considered a grow light in the monkey lamp. I bet the bird of paradise would love it! Though, I’m not sure what I’ll do if it gets any bigger. 😅
@alex designs stuff lol I just reread my comment I meant Minimalist with a maximalist heart!! 🤣 lol I totally get it. Great channel! your plants look so healthy!
This is an excellent video! I am an interior designer and design spaces to incorporate plants- so great to see the different levels of plant collections and how to display them in an intentional way!!
Thanks so much, Sherri! Always great to meet another designer! 😊
Fun video. I'm not a crazy plant person but I do struggle with not buying more plants. I'm always looking for a way to bring more into the house without it looking cluttered.
I really liked your chill, intentional and funny vibe! Great video!!
Thanks so much!
Love your home and all the natural light that surround your living space.
Thanks so much!
I love the jungle vibe! I have so much plants that my husband teases me that I have space for more

Thanks so much, Beverly, I’m so happy I could help! I have a few non-plant videos up next in the pipeline but I’m already gathering ideas for the next plant styling one. Should be fun!
Lovely video, esecially liked the triangle shape tip for group displays.

Beautiful plants and thank you for the informations.👍😊
Grazie!!!! Bellissimo video, molto ispirante! Devo arredare una veranda e appartengo certamente alla categoria “Crazy”🤪
So beautiful and cozy!!! Thank you!! You give me a lot of ideas for my new home. Amazing ❤
This is great content, after watching so many planty videos or creators with wayyyyy too many plants for my taste.
Thank you! I think the plant minimalists don’t get enough love. But they should!
Great video! I think I am a minimalist collector 😅 I loved how you arranged your library, but still would remove some of the plants 😅 Hoya australis hanging in the window looks beautiful! I don't have a lot of plants atm, because I might be moving countries this year! Starting new, small collection will be so exciting for me!
Thank you for your video!
Hi Alex!!! Found your channel yesterday and loved it! Looking foward for the next videos!
Thanks so much! 😊
Simple but great! My plants always look so unorganized in my room. Thanks!

Ohhhh your very minimalist snippet made me laugh out loud!
Thanks 😊 And that pyramid idea is fabulous!
Thanks 👍
Thanks, Shelly!
Am in that collector phase. Not too many, so in my mind I just feel like it's becoming too much. Yet, I just found out Amazon sells plants .... so guess who just ordered a bundle of 12 new houseplants? 🤪 🤣
Will be incorporating these tips and creating my cozy jungle corner turning into that crazy plant lady ..
New to the channel. Love this..
Thank you! I appreciate it!
You explained everything so well. New subscriber
Thanks so much, Lori!
Great video 👍🏽
Please make more videos like this one please . ❤
very nice design
Absolutely beautiful
Loved this video!
Everyone appreciate plants and the wilderness natural environment but nobody appreciate God who created all this wonderful things for us. People are too ''proud' to acknowledge it and are simply self centred and unappreciated . God created all this beauty in abundance and GOd is creative, meaning he created the environment to be all different , different insects, plants , trees, and even humans we are and the environment everything is unique . When God finished creating the Earth and the Universe, he said '' it is good'' ,!!! and should say to God '' good it is '' !! and thank you.
I know, its incredible
@@PrincessDie187 And is all in abundance !!! and so much more that is still to be discovered all things on Earth.
Thank you Alex. Your video is very useful for me. Give me more tips pls. ❤
You got it! I have another plant design video coming this week!

Thank you
Much helping ❤
I love it!
Can you do a video on how to decorate with plants based on placement in your home
i.e. closer to windows , bedroom with one window or bathroom with no windows at all. TFS
Hi Millette, thank you for the suggestion! I’ll add this to the list. Thanks!
Very cute
love all of the approaches 😍 your plants are gorgeous. As i inderstood, you live in area with lots of natural light? I don't have many plants but i already struggle with additional growing lights, all the wires and lamps :(
Thank you! I do generally get lots of light in my living room, library and dining room but there are other areas of the house where I don’t have much light and have had to use a grow light. I’m currently experimenting with how to get the most out of them while also hiding all the wires, but it’s definitely a challenge!
Maximalist, collector and crazy plant person here hehe
Love it!
What about planted aquariums? (I saw you have one)
Ooh yes! I did forget to mention that. It’s a great opportunity to bring in some really unique plants. They grow and spread rapidly though, so that’s something to keep in mind.
I have an issue buying colorful pots. I started out on buying white and soon gave into different colors. My problem is I love pots as much as i do plants. Ugg , I may need to reconsider my weakness to pots. In my defense they are mostly all shades of the same colors, bluish grey.
Hi theemeraldcity, thanks for your comment! If your pots are all shades of the same color I think they’d work great together. I’m currently working on a plant shelf video where I’m going to explore combining different colored pots. I’ll test some different combos out and share the results soon.
New to your channel as of today! My place doesn't get a lot of light so I use the under cabinet light in my kitchen for some of my plants. I have many low light plants: ZZ plant, snake plant, etc. because I only have two East facing windows.
I love your windows. The architecture in your home looks great. Is it a craftsman style home?
Thank you! Yes it is, I’d always wanted a craftsman house, and I finally got my wish. They have so much character and the light here is great.
Where did you get your monkey lamp? Great video.
Thanks Heather! The monkey lamp I found on Walmart's website. It was a hardwire fixture so I also found a lamp conversion kit on Amazon. I added both links to the description. Looks like the lamp is currently out of stock unfortunately, but if you search Walmart's website they might have other similar ones from other manufacturers. Hope this helps!
OK I’m a plant hoarder! But now I need that monkey lamp! Where did you get it? ❤❤❤❤
Hi Marilyn! I found the monkey on WalMart’s website, of all places. I’ve added the link to the video description. Looks like they might be out of stock right now but if you search for “monkey lamp” on the website some similar options should pop up. Hope this helps!
@@alexdesignsstuff so I had a monkey growing up! And I have a jungle room in my house! So that would be the perfect light!! Thank you!
@@marilyn3605 yesss, that will look amazing! If you find a lamp that’s hardwired only, I also left a link to a lamp conversion kit. I did that with mine and then used a smart switch to turn it on and off with my phone.
💕💕💕💕🙏🏿🙍🏿♀️
Yeah but when have LOW LIGHT …no window nearby
And if your whole house ends up in the crazy plant person category?
That’s a good question, Rachel! I think I’ve decided to impose a one-plant-in, one-plant-out rule going forward. But if I end up doing another styling video and you can’t see me through the plants, we’ll know it didn’t work. 😅
@@alexdesignsstuff My new rule is I can only have one. One Monstera, one ficus Benjamin, one...
I love the floor lamp in the first room! Where did you get that?!
Hi Matt! The lamp is the Crane floor lamp from CB2, but unfortunately it doesn’t look like it’s in stock anymore. But maybe EBay might have one? If you Google it, there are some similar options that pop up. Hope this helps!
@@alexdesignsstuff thank you so much! I never liked floor lamps and then I got one last year and I absolutely love the ambiance that they give off
Wow Lovely plants 🪴

& Welcome to my channel ~~
Hello Alex, I have an idea 😅; if we ( aka me 😁) send you a foto of a place in my house that needs a little green love …… would you help me 🆘 ❤🎉?
Hi Marcia! Could you send a photo to alexdesignsstuffchannel@gmail.com so I can take a look?
I want to be a plant minimalist, but I can’t help buying more and more 😠
Same, Deena!
Can we give a bit more respect to the minimalist design … i started to feel overwhelmed with all the additional items… 😮 help !
I hear you! I used to have more plants in the living room but it started to feel like too much so I had to edit. I'm loving how that space feels now.
