I can't believe that the Salmon Glacier is real. It is so incredible. This is one place I know I will never visit, so thank you so much for sharing this!
What a Wonderful relaxing video. So happy you’re planning to do this again. The Beauty is never ending. Merry Christmas to You And Illy. Have a Very Blessed Holiday ❤
fun fact. The name Rambo comes from a Swede that lived at Ramberget outside Gothenburg. Peter Gunnarsson Ramberg moved to the US 1640 and there he changed his name to Peter Gunnarsson Rambo. Ram for Ramberg and bo is a common swedish ending for a place you live.
Peter died in 1698 and is buried at the historic Gloria Dei church in Philadelphia. I am quite familiar with his family because I descend from other New Sweden colonists who intermarried with his family. Someday, I would like to visit Gloria Dei. My ancestor Peter Nillson Lycon, who died in 1683 is also buried there.
Thanks again Robert, I am with Family on this "Sunday Night at the Movies", " Christmas Eve edition" with the whole family watching your filming and narration on the 60" inch Samsung Smart TV, thank you so much for your time and travel taking me place I have never been, oh and the whole family loves your work, well see you next week be safe . Merry Christmas to your family and next week it will be New Year edition, Peace Brother...
Great video so many mountains and glaciers. Seeing where they filmed Rambo was pretty cool. Don’t know why but feel bad for the salmon. Have a Merry Christmas and a safe New Year 🎉😊
Hey Robert, happy Christmas Eve! The fantastic scenery just never ends on this trip, does it? I got a chuckle when you were coming out of the bar--"Today is what, Saturday? Sunday? I don't know..." I definitely know the feeling of not knowing what day it is on a long road trip! Wow, the Salmon Glacier is perhaps the most impressive thing I've seen in this series. The world's largest gold pan? I dunno, somehow I was expecting something a little bigger🙂. See you on Friday for the chat...happy trails!
Lucky you! We stayed at the campground in Stewart and drove to top of Salmon Glacier in 1999. The road was much worse then, and even though early July there were some big snowbanks narrowing the road to one way. And it was raining the day we drove up so visibility only about 1/4 mile so we missed out on all those stunning views.
Absolutely stunning nature, filming and narration Robert! I am amazed of how much territory you covered in such a short time! Hope, BC is such a gem of a town...it is definitely on my list to visit while in BC sometime!
Just because the adventure is headed back home at this point, doesn’t mean there is any lesser amount of enjoyment to be had from these final videos of the season. Yet again, this episode does not let up on the sights and experiences while headed “Southbound”. Beautiful scenery never lets anyone down, and as you always say, it’s more about the journey than the destination. 💯 agree on that. Fantastic job painstakingly piecing together all the locations (that map of your trip tho😳)in order to bring another great year of travels to screens everywhere on the planet. And composing so much new music too! Here’s hoping you and Ily will be blessed in traveling together to bring even more exciting times in 2024. Wishing you a very Merry Christmas and the happiest of Happy New Year’s!
Can hardly believe you got hot in Quesnel Robert You are a Miami, FL native ! Guess you got acclimated to the real cold of Alaska ! Another great adventure of yours & your wife's to get to ride along with. Thanks and Happy Holidays !
Another spectacular video and scenery. The clips of the Rambo movie at the filming sites was a great addition. As a kid I went fishing on the Frasier River but closer to Vancouver where my Aunts and Uncles lived. Merry Christmas!
Hi Robert. Beautiful music, but oh that road in Hyder, my goodness have you ever seen scenery so gorgeous. And when you were in Hope walking were Rambo had walked, under the New Brdige, if you would have turned east down that road, hwy 3, you would have gone through Manning Park which is just as gorgeous as anything in the World. We are on Hwy 3 and 97. Little Osoyoos in the wonderland of Canada. You were so close. You missed the best part of B.C. lol! Thank uou Robert for the editing, and that music of yours is brilliant. To both of you, your family, your beautiful momma, God bless you. Have a Merry Christmas and bestxNew Year ever. Carolyn and Colin Hogarth...b.c. Ca❤nada
Robert- I just want to wish you and your family a Merry Christmas and great and safe new year ahead. I’m not going to watch the newest video until tomorrow when my whole family is here so they can see what I brag about watching every Sunday. Thank you for your awesome videos.
We have been to Hyder twice. If you want to see lots of bears, check out the city dump. This holds true for most small communities in British Columbia and Alaska. Your photography of Salmon Glacier was amazing! A beautiful area.
This was a fun video love. Seeing those parts of canada and all the rambo stuff I didn't know. You're just fun to travel with. Wish your wife and poker race in once in a while. But let her know that we are glad you guys are having a good time. And from where i'm at right now merry christmas❤
still watching before I start I'm going have to enlarge maps and see how you got to Hyder. I thought you might of forgot to upload this one in right order. [ like Tampa RV show will get on here before you got home this summer ] you do make long video so it takes while to watch, anyway for me.
Hello Traveling Robert , what an Amazing and AWESOME drive down to Victoria, BC. I would have loved to explore that as well Robert. There are so many glaciers and huge mountains along the route. I would have spent a few days enjoying that beautiful place. AWESOME VIDEO Robert 😎😎😎. OUTSTANDING!
This may have been my all time favorite episode going to places I have been to many, many times! Hope is such a beautiful little town. I’m so fortunate that I can drive a hour and a half east to get there! That is one of my favourite drives in the summer! I know where the Welcome to Holiday Land sign now resides thanks to you. When the movie was filmed that was the main highway from Vancouver that went under that arch. The overpass is the freeway bypass but the old road can still be driven on. I wish you could have seen the Coquihalla Canyon area which is still closed due to the severe flooding in 2021. Parts of First Blood were filmed there. There were also several iconic scenes from Rambo that were not filmed in Hope. One scene not filmed in Hope was filmed just up the road from me. I do have one bone of contention though. How could you go to Mountain View Brewing and not try the First Blood Orange??? Looking forward to the rest of your trip to Vancouver! Merry Christmas to you both!
Awesome video as usual, Rob. Just a suggestion. If you are into fishing at all. Keep a rod on you, and anytime you stay close to a body of water, go do some fishing on these videos. Maybe reach out to a whole other audience without turning it into solely "fishing content," I think it would be a nice addition to your travel vlogs/movies.
Hey Robert, that looks like a spawning ground for the salmon! The females lay their eggs and the males fertilize them, and then they die! That’s the end of their journey, and the beginning of new salmon!
I noticed the most Truck Campers on your trip to Alaska, than any of your other videos. Do you think there was a reason, or advantage over a travel trailer?
First blood was the penultimate movie during that era. It was him coming back from the war with all the mental stress that a vet would have and no help with it. It was pretty cool but sad :(. Interesting commentary.
"Oh thank you, we're back in Canada......almost"', LOL!
Wish you and your wife a blessed and very Merry Christmas 🎅 🎄 🙏
I can't believe that the Salmon Glacier is real. It is so incredible. This is one place I know I will never visit, so thank you so much for sharing this!
What a Wonderful relaxing video. So happy you’re planning to do this again. The Beauty is never ending.
Merry Christmas to You And Illy. Have a Very Blessed Holiday ❤
Traveling Robert, enjoyed this episode. An awe striking scene, You standing in front of the glacier.
Very enjoyable episode. I’ve always wanted to see B.C.

Another great video Robert! You are slowly becoming a Snow Bird!
Thanks Robert, that was another fun episode. I especially enjoyed going back in time and revisiting the old Rambo filming location.
Robert Merry Christmas and Happy New Years 2024.

Robert needs to do the Crowsnest Hwy, one of the most epic drives I have ever done!

My Favorite song 🎵
I've really enjoyed the Alaskan Alaskan videos. Merry Christmas
Hope reminds me of Forks, WA.

Nice video even tough you put the video early
👍
Robert the Salmon are spawning now. This occurs at the end of their life.
Merry Christmas to you both 🥗🥗
It seems like the number of commercials has quadrupled. I’m guessing that it is a RUclips thing, but I just wanted to let you know.
Hope B.C. is now known for the show highway through hell other weather channel.
I noticed the most Truck Campers on your trip to Alaska, than any of your other videos. Do you think there was a reason, or advantage over a travel trailer?
Definitely, because certain roads are in bad condition
cameras can't capture what you experienced
Why is there another video uploaded
Working ahead 😀

Salmon is one ugly looking fish.
But oh so tasty!
