Playing this in my youth worship band, thanks!
Thank you for getting right to it and not going off on a random tangent or repeating the same thing over and over.
Very helpful! God bless!
Thank you so much for such a great tutorial. You explained everything in an easy way. The video quality is so good. I'm from Ukraine and this video really helped me while preparing. Blessings to you!
Thank you for taking the time to put this together. Extremely helpful for me!
I hit the like button than it went from 999 to 1k
Thank you I really appreciate the time you took is it possible if you could teach again it was kinda hard to understand and keep track

Awesome! Thanks!
thanks man!
I really wanna learn this song so I can get deep into learning worship songs to serve God
Fantastic video!
Que tal amigo buenas noches. Sería tan amable de indicarme el BPM del delay. Y mi duda es, si la canción está en 6/8 cómo configurar el delay.
are you just using the cab sim on the Bigsky?
No cab sim. The Tech 21 Blonde Deluxe has that built in. If you'd like to see my settings for it, check out this video: ruclips.net/video/_6LknXOvAqA/видео.html. Refer to episode 1 for sound examples.
Loving this! Just one question: Is this really in 83 Bpm? when I put my metronome in 83 bpm and 6/8 it does not match the tempo of the song. What am I doing wrong? :)
It's definitely 83BPM at 6/8. Make sure your metronome is set to eighths, not quarters. Also, if it's adding an emphasis on beat 1 at a different meter, it'll sound wrong. I guess it depends on what model metronome you're using. For example, in Abelton, if it's set to 4/4 at 83BPM it doesn't work. It'll only sound right if the meter is set to 6/8.
Thanks! :) For some reason my metronome had to be set to 166bpm. Its an app on my iPhone (maybe not the best.. lol)
@@AaronWesley Hi, there. Im having some issues on this. lol. My timeline only has the following: 4/4, dotted 8th and so on, except 6/8. Ok, so what I get from you message above, setting my preset at 83 bpms with eight time signature is ok then?
Aaron, this is a great tutorial. Thank you for sharing. I have a question, to your knowledge, do you know of another way to preset the bpms and time signature other than the 83 bpms, 6/8 setting?
To be honest, to make it easy on myself, I usually just keep it on the dotted eighth setting like I would in 4/4 at 83BPM. That's what I did for this video.
Sometimes I also just set the delay to straight eighth notes. If you have a stereo delay, try experimenting with eighths on one side and dotted eighths on the other. I've also used dotted eighths and quarters together quite a bit. Instead of thinking about the meter, 4/4 or 6/8, think about the eighth note division and where you want your repeat to land. That will help you decide what settings work best for the song.
Hey what does position 13 mean?
Line your hand up with the first finger on the 13th fret.
Can you share your strymon presets?
Is there any way you could share a tab for this?
I'm sorry Julia, but as of right now, we do not have any tabs available for our tutorials.

What types of effects are you using for the lead
If you read in the description, it lists all of my gear and effects settings. Please note that I use no drives the entire song until the big section of the bridge. If you'd like more info on how I play without multiple drives, watch this video: ruclips.net/video/H0gBNHTcRUI/видео.html
so is the first verse the same as the chorus? or is there no guitar playing during the first verse
For the studio version, which is the reference for the video, there is nothing substantial enough to teach for the first verse, however you can always add some atmospheric swells. Even the first chorus doesn't have much for the lead electric, but you can play the 2nd chorus part if you wish.
What key are you playing this song in?? F or what?
It is in the key of F# major. This is what Cory plays it in for the studio version.
You can always play through each scale to find the key
@@AaronWesley What if I need to play it in the key of B major? What I need to do?
@@myrnaarambulagarcia4215 You either have to go up a perfect fourth interval (5 half steps) or down a perfect 5th interval (7 half steps).
Where the tab at
Hey, what's the make and model of your wireless transmitter?
Line 6 Relay G10
What key are you playing in?
This is based off the studio version so it's in F#.
Hello! What settings do you have your delay on?
Should be in the description. It was a Strymon Timeline set to a dual delay (1/4 & .8th) with a high mod.
Are you tapping in the delay on the '1' and '2' then?
I keep it set to the 6/8 83BPM for the whole song.
What is that guitar
2007 American Standard Fender Strat.
I dont hear any delay?
On the examples with the reference audio, there is a low mix dual delay. During the breakdown explanation, there is no delay and the gain is very clean just to eliminate distraction for teaching purposes.
what type of pedal do you use in this video
Gear rundown is listed in the description.
Close....
im confused
How can we help?
@@AaronWesley well is everything on the video for lead and when i was listening to the song i couldnt hear anything that you were teacher, i dont know what im doing wrong.
Yes, this video is directed specifically to the guitarist playing lead for the song. These are definitely in the mix from the studio version of Cory Asbury's Reckless Love Album. If you're struggling to play the parts, you might consider switching to the rhythm guitar role and maybe even look up another video that covers that. Goodluck.
