Kenwood TMG 707 revisiting an old friend

A look at this Dual Band Transceiver from 1998. It is still a useful piece of kit but can it be programmed using a PC?

Hi Kevin, thanks for making this video. I have a couple of TM-G707 that I am still using today after over 20 years. I had recently bought a programming cable but could not get any software programs to connect to the radio to work (CHIRP and Kenwood`s own MCP-2a). After a quick search I was able to find the software you used in your video, unzip it and rename a com port. It worked straight away (using Windows 11). When I write back to the radio and the transfer is complete my radio re boots its self. 73`s
