Including the family gives an element to this review you don't get elsewhere. And for a "family" vehicle, this is a great approach.

Highlander is overpriced. People say Toyota is better which in fact is a myth. Dollar to dollar value, Ford Explorer is by far a much better SUV than Highlander.

    • @JM-db8ez

The comparison was the hybrids. Ford's hybrid Explorer is minimal in the 'hybrid' part. The Highlander is a better hybrid than the Explorer.

Do you feel this car looks a bit dated? Look very similar to our company’s F 150. Lincoln Navigator will be the step up for the game.
Is the second row middle cup tray removable? Also how do you compare the Toyota safety 2.0 to this co pilot? Which is better control in your opinion and what make you say that ?
    Thanks

Ah choices, choices, choices! I like the styling of the Ford better too than the ridiculous grill of the Toyota. But when it comes to practicality I would have to give the nod to Toyota, for fuel mileage and reliability. Great video as always!

    • @EverydayReviews2022

I totally agree! And yes, too many choices. Now if this could be really interesting if either one were available as a PHEV.

@@EverydayReviews2022 Yes! And Jay Leno on his RUclips channel featured a Ford Focus that was equipped with a large capacitor instead of a battery, that gave the vehicle a boost like an electric assist, but without a heavy battery to drag around. I wonder whatever happened to that design that never made it to the market. That video was about five years ago.

True story: my buddy gets a trade-in value at Bergstrom Land Rover for his 2016 Cadillac XT5 with 80,000+ miles of $12,000 towards a 2021 Evoque. Meanwhile on the 2nd of this year I traded in our 2013 Highlander Hybrid Limited with 150,000+ miles for a 2021 HH Platinum awd and get $11,000 at a local Toyota dealer

Capless fuel door is handy until it breaks. The outer door on my f150 went broken just over 60k when the warranty is up. It made the outer door flap freely without the tension to shut. Searched online and find it to be a common thing for Ford. Took it apart and found it to be a design flaw. Made some modification myself and now it's permanent fix.
