As a lot of ya'll know the motor in this bus blew up literally right after I won it at auction.
A new motor was sourced and built by Cummins.
It was recently installed and the mechanic bill was $21K....

Isaac, I like you and your fam and watching your video's but as a man don't you feel guilty taking other people's money to fix your broken stuff. Without wanting to pay it back. I am from a different generation where you get a loan or if you get money from another source, you pay it back with interest. Not just a thank you from the bottom of my heart for the money that they may not really have either. Just because they feel sorry for you because you made a video about it. You can't always expect youtube to bail you out, you feel much better when you accomplish it on your own.
Why should he feel guilty? How is he taking people's money if they buy a shirt that he designed and had made? He also put on a concert to make money. He has his own businesses, youtube being one of them. He is giving back.. we get *free* entertainment from his channel. Do you know how many hours it takes to record and edit a video? Why does it bother you if people want to give back for (free) entertainment anyway? And, what does that have to do with being 'a man' ?! (all rhetorical questions) Come on, why do you got to be rude... I'm from that generation too but we didn't have youtube back then either. Isaac works hard! No need for your criticism.
*Edit-* We are invested in them and their story and we would like to help. When we/subscribers first found out about the big bus engine it was *US* that asked where we could donate. Think of youtube donations as a tip jar. If you don't like it don't watch this channel or youtube for that matter. Plus, when we were young you know we would have videotaped a play or concert to make money over mowing people's grass. If Isaac was just a begging bum then that would be a different story but he is *NOT*
Speedy G. - This is his job and he is working it. Your provided a video to watch and enjoy. He earns ad sense. He also earns by paid promotions through companies. Its a new way of earning money sir. It's not a scam. He is hustling as much as you are or did in your generation for the loan and the interest. I am a 50 plus year old women and can understand the hustle has changed. It's not new. Think of it as a sales position and he earns commission. People are paying him for the entertainment. They work hard its just a different kind of hard, us old folks don't understand. I had to comment because i see a man working it and working hard to provide for his new unexpected family. Speedy G don't go knocking down a man who is working and working hard just because you don't understand the new hustle. Peace and love to all and no Hate or ill will to Speedy G.
Do you not understand the connection of putting out content AND making money from it? If I’d had the camera skills he has back in the day when my husband and I ( but mostly myself) we’re redoing our houses I’d be into this in a big way. @@hoppas77 Never said he doesn't work hard at building busses or youtube, but small channels do not generate a lot of money. No problem selling merch or doing a concert. If you can't make enough money by doing these things to buy an engine, then you may want to reevaluate how you make your income. Instead of putting make donations to paypal or venmo in the description. Children are not cheap to raise either, way more than an engine. Thanks to freedom of speech, you have your opinion and I have mine.
I think that what you need to understand Speedy G, is that what Isaac and Jaylena do and have done, for some time now, is work. RUclips is work. On top of their physical labour that you must have seen.Have you ever tried to film, edit videos? Do some research, because done properly, as this young couple do, it is absolutely nothing to be scoffed at. I am probably older than you, but totally understand how things work today. You can't live in the past, simply because this world is not as it was and not everybody's life runs to plan. I can attest to that. RUclips is a full time job for most who take it on and you can think what you like, but sometimes it is best to keep it to yourself. As an older generation, you really should know better than putting someone down who most definitely doesn't need your put downs. Right now, or at any time. Live in the present. That was what it was. This is what it is. Treat people as you would wish to be treated. Some care, kindness and thoughtfulness goes a long way.

What was actually wrong with the old engine? Is this a Cummins Recon Engine? Or did they just rebuild the engine that was in it?

This is the price of buying a vehicle in auction and not test driving it hard on some mountain roads. I hope you got a low price for this bus. Why did you not find a good used motor for 5k and have it installed. Why a new motor?
I didn’t want to pay $4k to put a used motor in and have the same thing happen and spend more money in the long run
Missed your Premiere but just rewatched it! Thank god the bus is finally back and you got that transmission thing figured out! I love that cute little Ember Will one day look back at these videos and see the beginnings of her first Bus home and know the love and hard work from her mom and dad to give her a great life!! ❤️

I do have to agree with a comment from a week or so ago in times like now when 62% of our country answered a poll saying they may not be able to pay for gas, food, rent may lose a job it may be to much to ask for money for ur bus.
No one is forced to do anything they don’t want too.

I'm a school bus driver and if I ever decided to convert one I decided it would be a mid to late 90's bluebird transit with Cummings engine.

Hey Isaac, I’m so sorry you’re going through this with your bus. I suggest looking for the original bus manufacturer and having them do repairs for you. They’re most likely to have the parts and knowledge you need.
I got the runaround with mechanics on my bus earlier this year, and it cost me $600. I was hurt, so I can’t imagine what you’re feeling with $21,000. I hope things look up for you and your family from here.
Honestly… I've never heard of a, decades old, used school bus. Costing $21,000? You can purchase a good used, 24-year-old, motorhome for, $21,000! With all working amenities included!
Frankly, I don't think a 20-year-old used school bus should cost more than, $5000. $10,000 for a diesel pusher. Because it's a school bus! That students used to use from, Uvalde, Texas. But won't be needing it this year..

Your what mechanics call a mark...he charged you for undid work and you didn't even flinch! Even when the motor broke less than a mile from the shop after you just paid enough for a new motor!

Sounds to me like that cummins dealership did not complete the transmission service. I would have brought it right back to cummins to have them finish fixing it.
I'm sorry for the run around.
But if they worked on it they should find and pay for clearing clearing the warning light.

How come you don't just buy your own ob2 scanner with ob1 connector,they ain't more than 200.00 for a good one so you'll be able to clear and check your own codes.
That Cummins shop SUCKS ! I would never go back there. They said they test drove the bus after the engine install, and they couldn't tell it was shifting wrong or see the service light? I still think they did something wrong on that initial service that caused your engine to fail. Not intentional, just incompetence !
💐🌹HI ISAAC, you should pass out 1/2 sheet flyers announcing your upcoming Benefit concert to pay for the new motor for your bus that you plan to make a home for you, Ember & Jaylena in. People really do want to help you, and they can by spreading the word about your Benefit concert if they have a flyer to remind them WHEN it will be a live concert on U-tube. I love your music, but most people forget dates & times, but they can spread the word to all their subscribers if they have a flyer to remind them when it is. It's very unfortunate the hand you've been dealt on that bus motor, etc., but you 3 deserve the best. I only wish I could be there to help get the word out. why did you pay them the full 21k for the transmission repair? why not pay 20k till you figure out how much it will cost you to clear the code.

Man babies change so much in that first year or two! This fall she’ll be sitting on her own and probably crawling by Christmas. Mine were walking at 7.5 and 8 months, the look on my son in laws face when I told him that...I think it scared him.

Why would they service a transmission but don’t have the tool to clear the code… why did they service the transmission at all? Sounds like they charged you for something they didn’t do…

Hey Isaac. Just food for thought. Use Chassis Saver on your floor. It converts rust and seals. Won't need to use a product like Ospho .
