    Excellent video!
07:20 Looking at the owner's guide, I believe that short stud helps provide a tactile (and visual) indication as to which face is pointing forward. Normal is straight back. Mimeograph is that bit on the right side (as seen from the back) and the carbon face is when it is on the left side.
01:10:00 The long S appears in English prominently up until the 19th century. (Look at a repro of the Geneva Bible and you'll see it all over the place once you recognize it for what it is.) It had a slightly different sound than the short S. It normally appeared at the beginning of words but not always. In Germanic script, this (I believe) became the Sharfe "S" (The "B" like thing) which, thanks to computer keyboards, is most commonly being replaced by "ss" at this point, and in English, I'm guessing it became the doubled "s" as we've always known it.

Thank you for your appreciation. My goal with these videos is to provide collectors with the next best thing to actually owning these machines: detailed inside-out knowledge of these machines, especially the rarer ones, which as of yet has rarely been shared online.

Hello old friend! Glad you are continuing with these videos. Just a comment, it seems the audio was shifting in quality and/or between my left and right ear more than desirably. What is your microphone set up? I might see if I have any friends who can give solid recommendations.

I film with a Samsung S21 which has a stereo mic setup. Though yes, there are times where I was a little too close to the mic/phone, I would vie that the stereo experience is integral, and it so happens that I may sometimes be speaking from the left or right of the virtual viewer. "It's not a bug. It's a feature."
