OMG that Disney "School Bus" lunch box at 17:46 was my dream back in 3rd grade around 1965. My friend had one. It was so different because of its shape and the Thermos fit in the flip--top lid.

They had ditto machines in the 60s when I was in school. I like the smell of the papers that came out of the machines. Yes I do remember metric. I thought the USA was stupid for not adopting it. I needed to know something about metric when I was in the military overseas. It made more sense than the American system. Still does.

The distinctive attractive smell of Ditto machines came from the addition of trichloroflouromethane to the 90% alcohol in the fluid, to reduce flammability. Like gasoline, all stuff that smells good but is not good for you!

I never thought the 70s were so great. But then that’s just me, I guess. 😢 I was already an adult and had 2 kids and I was working my tail off. The rat race where only the rats were winning. . When it came to shoes, I had to wear steel toe shoes while working in a factory warehouse. Ironically my feet still got hurt despite the steel toes.

Yeah; 1972 to 1982 weren't that great if you were trying to raise a family. Especially if you were a blue collar worker.

Did you notice that several of those pics of The Brady Bunch are look-alikes but aren’t the real kids? Look at that pic at the beginning of their segment where they are seated on the sofa…

Those combs , only ones I remember had handles and the handles were what stuck out of people’s back pockets. They were nicknamed soul combs because usually black guys had them in their pockets.

I think you're confusing "Picks" (the afro-combs) with those big, wide-toothed Super Combs from back then. I used to use a wide toothed comb then, but I would saw off the handle so I could fit it in a front pocket unnoticed. What a nerd I was.

i WAS A TEENAGER IN TEHE 70'S. You must not have had much of a life if you remember the first time you saw a digital watch. Maybe you need to get out more?

The metal lunchbox often had thermos bottles with glass liners. If you dropped it and the glass would shatter and it would look like you had ice in your beverage. But you could not drink the beverage because it would have glass fragments in it. Bowl haircuts were popular with me because of the 3 Stooges. Moe had one which was his trademark. Woo woo woo !

Bell bottom jeans were part of my navy uniform. You couldn’t find me wearing them after I got out of the military. Nope! 👎
