The thing is brother there is always someone that can relate to you. Never feel like you're the only one that is going through what you're going through because I promise somebody has before! Keep finding inspiration and own your story. By owning your story, you allow others to own their story! 🙏
Dude! This is seriously one of the best episodes so far! Yahya's story is such a rollercoaster journey and something we can all relate to in wanting our parents to feel proud of us. What I took from this is that its great to do it for your family, but that can't be it! You have to do it for yourself, with or without your familiies backing! Powerful man! Respect from London!
That was so good. Definitely could feel the emotion bleeding through Yahya. I am so grateful for Gerard and Leaders Create Leaders for bringing to this to everyone.
Brother, I know you're reading the comments, so here it is. 14-18, my spiritual arc was exactly the same as you. I grew up in an Indian Muslim household in Saudi Arabia, believing and trying to be the perfect Muslim. I searched through all religious literature, trying to find the truth. I remember one night, I told myself, if God really loves me, he'll understand me leaving him. And that's how I let go of religion, and I can honestly say my whole life started right in that moment. Thanks for sharing your story. You were the right messenger for me.
dam yaya- 5 years old Newark Airport. heart aches. Am I gonna comment every min or can I just watch this and take it in. But you're amazing. God always has you!
Thank you for this. Since 2012 I’ve been on an entrepreneurial path centered on the truth & transparency. My first business was building custom musical instruments. I shifted. Now in the beginnings of building a social media agency. A big change is surrounding myself with business owners who are ahead of me. Also have Online Mentors in my field teaching & keeping me accountable. It’s hard as I’ve started over again (with a family & young children) but I will make it.
Whoa! Yahya story was powerful and impactful it left me in shocked, speechless and influenced to own my imperfections. thanks Gerard for sharing Yahya’s touching story this is one of my favorites for sure!
When Yahya told that story it felt like I was re watching interstellar in that part where Matthew McConaughey was crying watching his children's tapes from earth. That was powerful.
Very powerful. I share my story to some extent but this encourages me to let it go and release the authority of the past to own it even more so. Thanks yall for this episode.
So much respect for what Yahya is doing with his daily uploads and you Gerard with Leaders Create Leaders. Both of you guys, keep it up. Absolutely loving and appreciating your content!
Wow! What an eye opening interview! I’m living a crisis right now within my self and it talk straight up to my heart ❤️ thanks for this yahya and Gerard!
I cried at this... Thank you for being vulnerable and showing me that it's okay. I'll work on allowing myself to be this way. I wish you the best in everything!! Much love
Yahya Bakkar, you are more than welcome. 44 years now and having the gift of easily innovate, I was always treated as lazy, a dreamer, a fool by others, including my father, me wanting to create and launch my inventions. Being successful in the military and corporate life did not fit me at all. In the end, the relationship with my father was over; not being able to do it anymore. Recently, I dropped all of it and focus on my inventions again. I think I was born to invent and improve other peoples lives, being honest and authentic and being able to motivate others in the process. So I can relate Brother; I really can. Grtz from The Netherlands
Ahh been waiting for this one! When you understand how to control your mindset and not let your past define you, that's when you become unstoppable. 👏🏼👏🏼
This is by far the most intense and raw interview yet!! What an amazing journey Yahya has allowed us to join him on- it's an amazing peace after overcoming and finding yourself in the rubble
This is truly an inspirational story. Thanks to Yahya for sharing, and thanks to Gerard for his interview style which allows the person to tell their story in their own way.
Many things were said in this that had me thinking a lot about being open about this last year and my life in general. I have an amazing story to tell but just feel lost on telling it. I want to share about my family, my transition, and more. This has me wanting to do it even more... because my story can impact different people... getting over yourself is hard. I know it's not fear of the family keeping me holding back. I think I hold myself back because of how vulnerable I've been and how I feel like no one really cares. Because I know when people bitch... people don't care. But this is my story to tell and people will either listen or not listen. I've impacted before with my stories so it's probably time to tell more...
Hey James. I totally get you man. There's a difference between just sharing your story because you want to talk about yourself and sharing your story because you hope it could one day help others. That's the difference between being a victim and being vulnerable. A victim blames others and bitches about their situation. A courageous and vulnerable person takes ownership for their history and emotions so that they can create a better future for themselves and others. That actually takes more strength.if you share your story in service to humanity, it could heal humanity. If you just share your story because you want to talk about yourself only, you're just seeking validation. It's a subtle but delicate balance that comes with experience. If you need more help, download this 5-step blueprint to get your message out there :) WorldClassSpeaker.com
Thank you so much man! That verified it with my heart. I love it. It'll be hard being open about it but I want to change the world for many people that can understand me and relate to me. :) downloading that blueprint!
This was such a great episode; i feel like this episode was meant for me because i haven’t been keeping up with them but from just seeing the previews from Gerard Insta it made me want to come and watch it and it was one of the best decisions i made !! His story was like no one other and i really appreciate him for sharing that ...it was emotional for me as well and i hope i get to meet him in my life 🙌🏻
Thanks and praises G.A. I just discovered your channel recently and super resonated with this episode. I'm in the same place as 31:55, already announced I'm moving on but not sure to what yet. Also, using my channel to shine the light on messages from others is what I wished I had been doing all along. I'm wilderness hermit turned online food activist but recently kind of lost hope because of a traumatic experience with my ex and because making the content to get my message out there has been stressful to the point of adrenalin fatigue. Love your interview styles. Props from Oregon and keep up the good work.
The universe literally has such a funny way of working in your favour when you live your true authentic self! Thank you so much for this video Gerard! Love everything about your work, I am new to your channel and I am so grateful to have come across you on Instagram a couple of days ago! I am obsessed with your inspirational videos and inspiring stories! I can't stop watching, they're amazing! You have a fan from Johannesburg, South Africa. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you ❤.
Incredible and inspiring story! "People don't want a performance from you, they want the real you" Give yourself the permission to be imperfect, brilliant message!
Thank you! Thank you! And ONE MILLION TIMES OVER ... THANK YOU!!!!!! Its amazing how things shift and move in your favor when your in "alignment." Right now I run a successful insurance agency, however my passion and my gift has me commited to inspiring and influencing others through speaking! I have an upcoming TEDx talk and this interview has definitely helped add fuel to my belief! Thank you both!!!!!
Yahya Bakkar My guy! I appreciate you! Checked out the website! Will be getting started with the guide the minute I get back in the minute I get back in the states. You mentioned two other resources... tony robbins and youspeak... what do you recommend?
This is so powerful! I got almost tears in my eyes and goosebumps for the whole episode.. Thank you Yahya and Gerard for sharing this 🙏🙏 I love your work and LCL, it pushes me to be the best version in my life, business and relationship
This episode was very good. Very emotional and inspirational.... You have a way of making the guests feel comfortable so the true emotion of the story is told.
Yahya Bakkar Yeah, no problem! I am 19 years old and in college and I am doing a sports and business course. I started into fitness when I was 14 and have been hooked since so decided I'd do a course along the lines of fitness. Throughout the first year of the course I was losing motivation to stick at it and felt I wanted to drop out, but, I asked myself what have I got to lose.. Nothing! I am almost finished my 2nd year of the course and I'm happy I stayed in it. This interview just gave me a similar perspective to what I went through as in "is this what I want to do?" Also, the fact that you followed your own dreams motivated me more than anything and, that no one can stand in your way no matter what it is or how difficult it is to achieve. Keep up the work man, peace ✌️
This episode is so fucking pure. Really appreciate you and the team making these videos! Keep up the good work! Also a big thanks to Yahya Bakkar for sharing his story!
Hey Gerard. Been watching your content for a little while now, and I’m loving your videos. Thank you so much for creating inspiring and meaningful content here on RUclips. Keep doing it - I love it. xK
Loved the message "different messangers for the same message". That is what I told a couple of friends (using other words ofc) in regards to another topic I was telling them about... but that quote nails it. Oh and thumbs up for the production of this video. Loved the cut-in scenes as well as the music used to emphasize the story's mood.
Love your message bro. I've been vulnerable in my major and minor of robotics engineering and entrepreneurship. It has made people make fun of me and put me down, but it has also helped me a lot being authentic and truly learning. I still feel like living a lie sometimes but at also has to do with accepting and eventually taking ownership. I don't know where I'm heading, but it feels good.
G!! Well done man!! I love your series and have so many favorites, so many takeaways, etc. However, this episode...the rawness....POWERFUL!! Keep up the inspiring hustle!
it's 3:49am while i"m writing this. I've been following you on IG for a years but never saw your youtube channel. So it's "funny that toady of all days I stumble on your show and this specific episode. The reason I'm up is because a few days ago i made the decision to go to a "compassionate group" (i guess you'd call it that) for people who lost a child. In 2012 I lost my 65 day old son and through the years never really talked about it with anyone because halve of my family lives in Amsterdam, The Netherlands and the other halve (my moms side) scattered throughout the states. So when i finally see my mom, dad, sister or friends, which is once or maybe twice a year, it's always the usual "super visual" talk. So last week I made the decision to change this and seek help/ connection because I realized I need to talk about it and the worst is when people tell you "ahh I understand" when they never even had kids let alone had to pull the plug on their infant son. This get together is today at 6:00 pm and I've been an emotional wreck all day and night. This episode made me feel alive again knowing that I had to be true to myself and face the hardest parts of my life instead of faking that I am okay in order to move on in life. I am truly thankful for people like you GA and Yahya who make it their life"s passion to help others grow and create full filling lives. Thank you for your sincerity, your kindness and drive to make a difference.. You made a difference in my life today. Sincere and kind regards, Mike Kok (bt4s.us)
Yahya Bakkar No problem man, you have a great story. I’m sure many have some parallels to your story and it will touch many like it touched me. Keep up the great work and inspiring others. We need more of this. You’re a great person!
Wow!! What an amazing Interview! One of the most inspiring stories I heard for a time. That's resonating 100 percent with me. Inspires me and pushes me to my next step. I had the video in my watch later list for months and this morning I thought 'Today is the right day for this video.' What should I say .. the universe gave me the right video for the right moment! ;) Thanks Gerard! Thanks Yahya!
wow wow wow G- Ive been owning it! Wow! so good! You are soooo good on TV you are like a modern Montel Jordan we are missing that style like an Oprah ! that ending is like ABC news quality with the music and everything shout out to the editor lol
Hi Gerad & Yahya, I had to watch this episode in 3 takes because I was going through a hard breakup and starting part time working again. This felt as a step back in life. I am working hard to become a photographer. After watching this you inspired me so much to take all the now shitty part of life into inspiration. Thanks for that. Next to that I am grateful for showing me once again The Universe is still believed in.
@Yahya Bakkar hi yahya i just watch the video I am from thailand. I think i might have a clue by listening to your story regarding the arguement with your mom. In thailand to be honest the price of a genuine louis vitton bag is as expensive as anywhere in this world, the only reason I can think of is that your mom might be carrying not a genuine one which can be seld in black markets or online which are like half the price. I think thats where when you are asking about the bag price she might feel offended or lose face she might feel that you caught her carrying not a genuine one. Which in thailand or i believe in many countries in Asia asking these type of questions in this suitation is very offensive to the listener. This is my best guess.
kind of like when I went to LA and danced and everyone thought i was famous already and now that I am telling people I am doing PR for a lot less clients are showing up God is here ya'll always we are supposed to have FAITh in the FACE of adversity.
WOW! This created such a spark in me and I legit got chills from this motivational/inspirational story...Thanks a lot Yahya for sharing this incredible journey and thanks for making this video and movement possible Gerard! :)
no doubt bro, born and raised in Passiac County so much respect, could really resonate with your mentally, attitude and that "North Jersey Alpha vibe" lol followed ya on all socials man, keep it up!

There is nothing I can resonate more to than authenticity. Yet, I feel like if I was 100%, I could not relate to anybody anymore..
The thing is brother there is always someone that can relate to you. Never feel like you're the only one that is going through what you're going through because I promise somebody has before! Keep finding inspiration and own your story. By owning your story, you allow others to own their story! 🙏
vulnerability is beautiful, you don't have to apologies for being you!!!
THAT'S RIGHT!!!
by far my favourite episode ever, Yahya just has this energy about him which hard to explain. Great interview Gerard.
Dude! This is seriously one of the best episodes so far! Yahya's story is such a rollercoaster journey and something we can all relate to in wanting our parents to feel proud of us. Great great interview! Been a while since I watched a full RUclips video from start to finish, and I'm glad I did 👌
Thanks Austin. I'd love to hear what made you want to watch and listen for the full interview. Would you mind sharing?
Yahya Bakkar Yeah, no problem!
I am 19 years old and in college and I am doing a sports and business course. I started into fitness when I was 14 and have been hooked since so decided I'd do a course along the lines of fitness. That is what I told a couple of friends (using other words ofc) in regards to another topic I was telling them about... but that quote nails it. Oh and thumbs up for the production of this video. Loved the cut-in scenes as well as the music used to emphasize the story's mood.

One of your best episodes so far. Truly inspiring
Appreciate you watching Emilia! Why was this episode one of the best for you?
Love your message bro. I've been vulnerable in my major and minor of robotics engineering and entrepreneurship. I still feel like living a lie sometimes but at also has to do with accepting and eventually taking ownership. I don't know where I'm heading, but it feels good.
Keep trusting yourself. The people who judge you or hate you weren't meant to be in your life anyways.
Fuck the haters, live your truth and you will manifest true success.

Hi Gerad & Yahya,
I had to watch this episode in 3 takes because I was going through a hard breakup and starting part time working again.
I got frickin tears in my eyes man
