I like to cook fun things from time to time, and I just made this recipe tonight for my GF. She said it was the best thing I have ever made! Thank you!!
So happy for you, Mark! Thanks for sharing that with us! 😁👍
@@AaronandClaire what wok brand is that???
For the first one
Dang it…you lost me at cut it against the grain. Now I’m gonna have to go figure out where the grain is. 😬🤣🤷🏻♀️. I know, it’s ridiculously sad given that I’m 50% Korean.
"It was too big for one bite." Claire, are you ok? Blink twice if you need help!
😉🤣🤣
I see this a lot on cooking shows. I thought it was me. However you are too funny Brynn.
That made me giggle!
😂😂😂
My grandbaby and I cooked a Dutch Baby for breakfast this morning and we pretended we were Claire when we ate it............mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm :)
So sweet 🤣🤣🤣
I have learned so much about cooking from watching your videos. Thank you so much!
I'm so glad to hear that! Thanks!😍
I seriously like my beef and broccoli more than take out. The meat is always too chewy, I only use the best meat. I definitely need to start adding carrots to mine.
Good choice!😎👍
I will let you know how easy this really is. It is not in your cookbook (which, I have) but I printed the recipe and will make tonight. Many thanks.
We'll look forward to it! 😍
What is your verdict?
"you'll need 4 ingredients" proceeds to put 125 different ingredients
You only need to BUY 4 ingredients. The rest you will already have at home 😅
lol for real
How wonderful to watch Aaron cook amazing recipes, then observe Claire eating and reviewing the wonderful dishes- you 2 are a great team!!! Thank you for your wonderful content!!! ♥️🌺
I just made this recipe tonight with my partner! It was so easy and absolutely delicious! beef & broccoli has always been a favorite of mine and now I have the power to make it at home even better than the restaurants! Thank you for sharing your love for cooking Aaron, you're my kitchen hero ❤️
Partner? Seriously? Ugh. We people make me sick
Aaron is so hilarious -- "sorry Italians, we eat more garlic than you guys...." Hahaha! In addition to this great recipe, I love the sense of humor all throughout! It makes it fun to listen and learn from you! Thank you!
MSG is Naturally in vegetables. adding a little more for flavor is fine. 😎
This recipe is fantastic! I made it last night for my family of 5. They loved it! I had other recipes for Beef and Broccoli, but this one is the best. The beef is SO tender (I used top round steak which can be tough if not cooked properly). I put the steak in the freezer for a little while which made it easier to slice; as well as used a sharp knife. The broccoli was tender yet crunchy at the same time. I don't like raw, hard broccoli in a cooked dish. I've deleted my other beef and broccoli recipes and kept this one because it tastes authentic! Thank you for sharing!
MSG is totally NOT optional if you want it to taste good! LOL
Oh man that cut of beef looked so good! Nicely marbled. I believe Claire when she said it was super soft! Amazing vid, can’t wait to try it
You have normal size green onion for once, so you got the gigantic carrot.
yesterday i go to the store to get ingredients for beef and broccoli, and today, you post this. id say its fate.
Now THAT'S Entertainment! Awesome Channel. (Dig the music, too!)
The best thing about Aaron and Claire's recipes are that they are *always* great! I never have to worry "will I like this?" the first time I try it. Tonight I felt like beef and broccoli so I looked it up on RUclips with "Aaron and Claire" and here we are. It was excellent!
I can literally watch aaron and claire all day!!! Ive made this recipe 2x now and the second time made it, it was even better! My fiancé loved it when i made this dish!! Keep the videos coming!!!❤️
I'll have to wait until my wife isn't home - she hates broccoli.
I, however, love it.
Thank you!
🤣🤣🤣
I made this for dinner last night and my friends all loved it! The meat really was so unbelievably tender! 😋
How come you dont use dishwasher instead of hand washing?? Just askin...
Is the baking soda the "secret ingredient" for tender beef?
EXACTLY!😎
4:17 Fuiyo!!!
The size of Korean produce compared to United States is crazy. Its so much larger there!
Ikr?! I'm always amazed by the size of their carrots.🥕😲
Hell yeah ! broccoli goes well with anything😋gotta love Aarons dont worry about it just replace it with something you like attitude😇amazing video as always thx😋
😎😎😎👍
I can't wait for version 2 of the cookbook! It's the best, I already bought more as gifts. ❤
Put this recipe in the next book Aaron & Claire. ❤❤😊
What is the name of the cookbook?
I just got back from the grocery store where I got supplies for my Asian Cooking adventure, thanks to you Aaron and Claire!!! So happy that RUclips suggested your channel!
hi may i know what is the possible substitute for shaoxing wine??
I made this recipe tonight. Not only was it easy but soooo delicious!!! You must try it. Thank you Aaron and Claire. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
I just made this dish and it took me a little longer than 15 minute. 😂. We have your new cook book also. Love watching you both from Texas, USA.
Two hours later i was still chopping veggies! I did add extra though.😅
love the music, colour and Aarons fun personality :) love Claire too taste tester 😂
yeah, that looks good and it goes well with beer. It's a must try.
Tell me about it!😍😍😍
What beers are Claire’s favorites?
You know Aaron, it's really misleading when you say is "all you need is this and this and this 'and then you pull out all the different sauces to make marinade that wasn't mentioned beforw..Why Don't you list all the ingredients you need?As a foreigner wanting to try your dishes, you should not assume everyone has these condiments at home.
The "don't sue me panda" 😂😂😂
For cookbook v2, I'd love if you just combined the dinner receipts you post in paper form. I know we could print it out or watch it on a tablet in the kitchen, but having it in book would've been better.
Unfortunately, the dishes in the cookbook are not the type of dishes we're after and felt different to the ones shown on youtube channel.
What a bait and switch. You only need five ingredients. Sweet! I will watch this video. In actuality: The sauce has 20 ingredients you can’t find at a regular grocery store unless you live in Toronto or something.
Once again Aaron, you nail one of the most favorite and popular dishes here in the US. It does look easy and I'll be making this soon. Then to top it off, like a good desert, we get to watch Claire foreshadow our enjoyment. You two are an awesome duo.
Me and my family enjoy this recipe often, it’s simple and soooo good. So glad I found this video 😊 thanks and keep em coming 🙏🏾
I cooked with a wok for the first time tonight, and this was the dish I went with! I used asparagus and mushrooms instead of broccoli and carrots, as that's what I had on hand, and it was absolutely delicious! My fiance and I were blown away! Thanks so much! Have a haul of staples from the local Asian market, and can't wait to dive into your other videos!
Made this last night and it was a hit! Both kids loved it, which is huge! My son asked where I bought it from. 🤣 It will go in the rotation. Thanks!
My kids favorite beef broccoli🥰
YAY~~!!!😍😍😍😍 Hope they love this recipe! 😍
can someone tell me what pan/wok he uses?
A piece of cake is more difficult to make than most Asian food.
😎
We've been enjoying your channel for a while now and have made a few of your recipes.
We enjoy the format and your happy and positive delivery.
Today i made this beef broccoli, complete with star carrots (5 instead of 4 wedges makes a fun star and I diced the wedges too for extra color and texture).
It was so good we followed your link and bought a copy of your book to help support.
Thank you soooo much for your awesome feedback and support. They really mean a lot to us. 🥰
Love you guys. Claire has the best job ever!
Can't wait to try this! Your recipes are always amazing! Recently made the bibimbap and everyone in my family lovedd it!. Thank you for making your recipes as accessible as possible for us. I'm in Pakistan, so Korean ingredients are harder to come by or are super expensive!
So happy to hear that! Thanks Hadia! 😍
Had to substitute a couple ingredients. I steamed my veggies a tad too long. I don't like to boil them. Sliced one carrot thin. So my kid would eat it. Everyone loved this recipe. I'm just not a fan of cooking Asian dishes. This is only easy for those who've done it before. Wish I knew exactly what this dish was actually called ?
Freakin unreal. I’m an average cook at best, and this was probably the best tasting dish I’ve yet cooked. Everyone loved it. Fantastic 10/10 🔥
The best, the best, the best ❤
I loved that comedy bit at the beginning 🐼🤣🤣🤣. This really did look easy but mainly delicious 😋
I made this dish, a scallion kimchi pancake, and gamja jorin last night for a small film crew touring our rural desert county. Thanks Aaron and Claire, now I have the reputation of serving the best dinner they had on their trip!
So proud of you~! Thanks for sharing that with us! 😁👍👍
What can I use in place of sesame oil because my grandson is allergic to seeds, peanuts and tree nuts?! Or do I have to add that type of oil to the dish?! Oh and it looks so scrumptious! Thank you!
Sesame oil is usually for extra flavor, you can leave it out. Still gonna be good, don’t worry! 😍
@@AaronandClaire Whew! I was worried for a bit there! Thank you! 😊
5:00 Quote: " _let it SEAR for about one minute: Once the Beef is nicely browned, flip & sear on the other side_ ": From my observations, so many people mess up on this step: What you're going for is the *_Maillard Reaction": And if you put too much beef into a small wok or skillet, then the resulting _STEAM_** will prevent the **_SEARING_** process and instead, you'll just be **_STEAMING_** your food: I've seen this over & over again, which I why I mention it: Eventho, I know that 99% of **_*Soccer Moms_* are going to ignore me and just dump the whole thing of Beef into the skillet thinking that they're "saving time", when the searing process is literally 1 or 2 minutes.
Love the way you cut and shape the carrots 🥕 I must try that. Thank you, this recipe is a must try for me.
My mother wanted me to cook some broccoli and beef for her. It's one of her favorite dishes. She sent me this video. It turned out perfect! She is beyond happy!
I forgot the sesame oil, so I added sesame seeds and a dab of butter instead. It tastes wonderful on white rice!
Recently learned about velveting meat with cornstarch, seems to do a great job at tenderising! 😁
Aaron you didn’t know this….but you are one of my best friends! I love watching you teach me how to cook better! 💜🤙🏽 sending much aloha!
I made this tonight with a couple tweaks. I had matchstick carrots and snow peas. I like mine a little saucier, so did 1.5 times for the sauce ingredients. So good! Love your cooking videos! Thanks 👍
This will be on my table tonight! Claire is so cute and funny! Thank you, guys!
Hope you have wonderful dinner tonight! 😁
I love this recipe however I DONT HAVE ALL THIS JACKIE CHAN and groceries is HIGH
I appreciate your quick videos.
I can't stand watching someone chopping garlic for 5 minutes.😴
I have to say, I've been making beef and broccoli (almost weekly) for years, and the way I do it is so extremely close to what Aaron does here, I'm proud. Agreed, he's showing you the BEST way to make it. I always leave my beef in the marinade over night too!
As an amateur it definitely took me more then 15 mins lol, but the taste was worth it! It tasted just like my local take away.
Yay! So happy to hear that! Good job! 😁👍👍
My best experiences at Panda Express has been the food was bad. Things just go downhill from there.
Most bouillon powder already has MSG in it, so it's chicken flavored MSG powder.
👩🍳🥦🥩🥓🥕🍳I really like my broc and carrot cooked much longer, for my max flavor🍽
Now I kno this is the real deal cause it says make in 15 mins and the video is 10 mins long.....where I'm from the Chinese store always say your order will be ready in 10 mins no matter how big the order😂😂😂😂😂
First time on this channel, and I couldn't help but notice a very obvious Guga Foods and Sous Vide Everything inspiration. Is it just me?
I made this tonight. I could taste the ginger in it. I wonder what it’s gonna be like on the 2nd day! Even better.
Help 😕 so I went to the new Asian store that's 3 hours away and was able to get Dried thai chiles And gucci Jang but I couldn't find the powdered chili peppers that you always use,, I found a bag of "assorted chili peppers " and I was just looking at the ingredients and it also has orange rind and sesame seeds ect.. can I still use it the same or is it going to taste funky?? ! Had wanted to make chili oil and use it like you use your Korean chili pepper powder..
i swear I have tried to make chinese food level broccoli or string beans. All my cooking tastes like poop. I gave up.
Made this for tonight's dinner. Marvelous! Will do this again and won't change a thing. Thanks! ❤
My pleasure! So glad to hear that! 😁👍
Add the water very slowly to the corn starch whilst stirring vigorously. Never add cornstarch to liquid. Always liquid to cornstarch slowly.
Hey Aaron and Claire, we'll be in Seoul in about two months. Any chance you do public appearances.???
Oh man! Non-Asian, forst time making so.ething Asian and it turned out great! Thank you so much for sharing
This is getting me high on food 😋
It tasted very good, but it is very, very salty for my taste. And I am a big salt fan. How do I adjust the recipe to drastically reduce the salt?
As much as I tried to follow the recipe my broccoli came out mushi but I'm glad I tried something new I shall try it again. Thank you for this 😂
hi guys, love your content.
i counter a problem with the beef when i start to bake, it smells like amonia :s could it be of the baking soda? thx in advance.
Ive heartburn. Can have soy but not garlic, ginger brocoli, spices or the wine (am sorry i cant spell it. Is there a replacemennt for wine?was going to sub brocoli for green capsicum.
I understood everything you said about your ingredients but to make the sauce after you said add 1 TB spoon of soy sauce I couldn't understand stand what kind of wine you added next can you please say it again and by the way your beef and broccoli looks amazing 😋
i didn't have dark soy sauce and i thought its ok boy was i wrong the color is way off oh well next time overall really good flavor wife kids brother and sister in law loved it. Will be making this moving forward ty bro
I guarantee you I eat more garlic than you 🤣🤣🤣🤣
If a recipe calls for a clove of garlic, I use a full cup of garlic 🤣🤣🤣🤣
You make great videos, but I wish that you would add the text for your recipe in the video description.
Omg this came out so good! Only thing I was missing was the dark soy sauce however it still came out delicious!
Can i substitute chicken bouillion for chicken stock powder?
I made this beef and broccoli (along with Aaron and Claire’s fried rice) last night for a dinner with friends and it came out amazing! It truly hit the craving spot for all of us who were in the mood for an authentic Asian dish. Thank you for this and all of your delicious recipes. I can’t wait to make more!
Last time a drank beer with B&B I got sick into my trombone! I still love both, but never together again.
Its got beef and its got broccoli. You can make beef with anything
I appreciate you, this recipe is so ono. My bf loved it, Mahalo :)
I have a query. For marinating are theae substitutes for the wine please?
“Cooking asian food at home is intimidating” beef and brocoli that looks like the cadual shit the middle class in the high medievil europe would eat
Dank wo four swallowing shity swoshi, may take worser prease!
How can you not make it tasted like beef jerky? It tasted so hard
It's properly pronounced "Bee Brockree"
Can you post a link for the exact Wok you used? Thanks :-)
The carrot uuummm. Any other boys feeling 🤔
I’ve never had a knife that sharp. Mine can barely hack through a carrot 😂
