Coating tofu with starch and pre-mixing the sauces together before going into the wok were absolute game changer for me. It also helped me on my cantonese cooking journey. Trusting Aaron is a good thing to do!
Sent a screenshot to my son. He requested I create a shopping list and he will go shopping after work. We usually have all the ingredients since we make your recipes often.
What knifeware do you use? Been following now for almost 3 months now love the simplicity of your videos way easier to understand. Can you do a general tso please
@@AaronandClaire your channel is wonderful 1/2 because of food, 1/2 because of recipe and 1/2 because of Claire... I know it doesn't add up but nothing does these days. It's a compliment.
wa wa, just diagnosed with type 2 diabetes! hopefully I can stabilize to a point where I can enjoy these scrumptious dishes again. TY Aaron & Claire, love your recipes & videos!
Yum! something about the way you explain dishes makes it seem so easy and low stress, plus love the way you make suggestions for subs if people don’t have an ingredient. Imma make all of these!
I just made the black pepper steak and i addrd asparagus and brussel sprouts kus i wantrd more veggies i just realized the sauce is similar to the beef broccoli one but OMFG this taste soooo Yummy 😋🤤 my husband is very happy i cook alot of asian cuisine so i definitely need to find some MSG!! Thank you Aaron and Claire i just found u today and went out and bought everything to make this thank u for making ur videos so clean and easy to understand its so simple!!! ❤
I ate the Beijing Beef at Panda Express about a month ago with Kung Pao chicken. Both were good. Pretty good value too. Very fast meal. I can't hate on Panda Express b/c I love any almost any Asian food...
Just finished cooking chicken fry rice with eggs , I had leftover chicken from Chinese takeout so threw some basmati rice and veggies in the fry pan with a little water , once done I put it aside fried eggs added chicken, threw rice back in and added soy sauce. Quick meal under 30 mn. Of course watching you guys for ideas when I have time to do more elaborate version
The only thing that might make some of these 'daunting' is my American friends being determined to make them in a shallow skillet and spill stuff over the edge. A wok or 'stir-fry pan' is a fantastic addition for cooking so many things. I use mine every day
Um...we Americans know the difference in a skillet and a wok. Your friends are just not very smart. America is a melting pot...woks are available in every Walmart or target....or other stores like that no matter where you live in the US. And if you want a traditional carbon steel one...even small towns usually have a little Asian grocery store that carry those.
I ordered your cook book. I can't wait to get started!!! In the front of the book it has all of the ingredients that's needed, I actually already had 50% (I'm so proud 😂 lol) of the recommended ingredients. So to be at 100% I Have to get the rest. 99 Ranch here I come😃. Thank you Aaron and Claire!
I'm so happy you both are doing Chinese food too! As always I love your recipes, channel and the best part is your wife tasting your meals... and now you have a dog? Wow!
I’m from the UK but now live in Australia. In the UK I loved chicken and pineapple and Duck with pineapple. They don’t make it out here in Australia. Would you be able to come up with a recipe for those, would love that.
biggest part of making asian food at home is finding some of the ingredients. I can't find light or dark soy sauce, chinese cooking wine (sorry I can't spell it), and for japanese anything to make miso and a fw other dishes.. and finding flank steak is impossible without going to a butcher cuz the local walmart doesn't have it. they do have top sirloin, ribeye, chuck eye, flat iron...
you should see my wifes knife...she is still over in Indonesia (still working on getting her here to the US)....the thing is broken in half. I can not tell you how many times I have told her to get a new one. She finally got a new one when I visited her but, I think she just hid the broken one from me because I have seen it make an apperance since I got back home.
Absolutely love these recipes and will definitely be trying them out! I love both lo mein and chow mein. (Also I missed you whispering "MSG" in the lo mein recipe lol, that edit always gave me a good laugh- glad to hear it later in the video 😂)
PLease, someone tell me what baby buck choin is!!! I asked for it at my local farmer's market, they had no idea what it was. I neeeeeed iiiit!! It looks so tasty!!
Don’t worry about it! 🤣You can substitute with mirin or dry sherry. I think the Japanese cooking wine (mirin) is more approachable than Shaoxing wine and that could be used in almost all our recipes, so you can give it a try to get mirin! 😍

I absolutely love this couple and how they make these recipes so easy to make. I would love to meet them if I have the opportunity to travel to Korea.
😍😍😍

This video had it all, 4 delicious & colorful meals, a hilarious Aaron, a happy Claire and Hodu doing yoga. Now I'm hungry.🧡💛🧡💛
And there’s even a sweet comment from Bonnie. Thank you as always! 😁🙌
Now that’s how you do downward dog 🐶 🧘♂️ 😊

If you avoid the noodles and rice, the meat and vegetables are still good options and can carry the wonderful flavours! 😊😊😊

Love watching you two. Your cooking looks so delicious. Anytime I don't have an appetite I watch one of your videos and I'm hungry ❤

Love all the yummy recipes & your cooking techniques.
I luv lo mein! 🤤 Yum 💛
AaronandClaire pleaseeeeeeeeeee let me know where you got your wok. It's the perfect size and fit for my kitchen stove top!!!
It looks delicious.
Awesome vid! What knife are you using? Digging it! I love my Hatsukokoro petty 135mm
I made the lo mein for supper tonight. It was the best I've ever made!
Yay!!!! 😆👍
I love your videos! And your channel! Are these recipes in your book?
Learning so much from you! Thank you 🙏
Your channel has helped me make delicious food at home. Thank you!!!
This is great! Lo mein is one of my favorites. 😋
I love making the recipes you post! Cannot wait to make these! Lots of your recipes are staples now!
Thank you so much for enjoying our recipes! 😊🙏
Thank you for these recipes. Can you do egg foo young? Where I live they cannot do the gravy. I would like to be able to make it myself! Thank you
I always use frozen broccoli wherever I make beef and broccoli so I don't have to precook it, works out great! Definitely going to try out these
I've always been frustrated by frozen broccoli breaking/shattering into broccoli dust and stalk lumps 😒
❤ everything looks great
My local Asian restaurants all have Low Mein as “soft noodle stir fry” and then have Chow Mein as “vegetable stir fry with crispy noodles”
Gotta be real. Since I been trying out your recipes, restaurants have been extra disappointing. I feel blessed and cursed at the same time 😂.
I love watching and listening to you two :D
Thank you SO much for enjoying our videos and recipes! 🥰🙏
I get so hungry watching your amazing recipies.I made your minch meat bulgogi today, the spicy one.Delicius.😋Thank you🌺
Love you both. Aaron you are funny and Claire is adorable. But poor thing when she bit her tongue 😮. Another good video. Everything looks delicious
I’m so glad I bought shaoxing wine now 😂 I forget what I needed it for but at least I can use it for this!
What can substitute for any fish/oyster sauce? TY!
I’ve made your beef and broccoli and that was excellent. I can’t wait to try these other dishes 😊
Hope you love other dishes, too! 😍
I'm so happy you both are doing Chinese food too! As always I love your recipes, channel and the best part is your wife tasting your meals... and now you have a dog? Wow!
fantastic👍
What's the little poles coming out of the burners?
Could you please share your wood cutting board info including size?

I want to be a "claire for a day" in this episode 🤤

Mouth watering delicious
Cashews are my favorite nut and have been for decades.
If you really don't want to skip blanching broccoli, you could use frozen broccoli (thawed).
New subscriber here. Will you please tell what wok you’re using? 🥘♥️

@@AaronandClaire i just made the beef and broccoli, i’m in love! i can’t wait to try everything else you cook, thank you so much❤️
You’re so welcome! I’m so glad you liked it! 😍

i like ginger beef the best takeout oh yeah ginger beef was made first in Canada
Oh my good ... Cook for me ....I luv this I can't make it ...
Yeah i'm not a fan of carrots but all looks so good
PLease, someone tell me what baby buck choin is!!! I asked for it at my local farmer's market, they had no idea what it was. I neeeeeed iiiit!! It looks so tasty!!
Baby boy choy! If you can't find it, walmarts usually carry regular full size bok choy, that would also work.
Great presentations Aaron ... "Aaron, I don't have Shaoxing wine! What do I do???" Don't worry 'bout it.
LoL
Don’t worry about it! 🤣You can substitute with mirin or dry sherry.

I was quoting one of your videos, it made me laugh because it is true
3:09 He, that's how I chop!
Aaron! Can you make some galbitang for us? 😁
Sure!!! Can’t wait to share it with you guys! 😎🙌
I love that face you make 🤣🤣. thank you for the yummy recipes.
You guys are beautiful i love how you guys are always together❤😊❤🍜🍜🍜
What are the green leaves again in the first recipe? Can I replace it with spinach?
You can replace anything with anything. As Aaron keeps telling you - "Don't waarrrrry about it".
The small bok choy? Sure, you can use spinach.
I am waiting for the day Aaron calls a bell pepper (capsicum).
In the first dish you said if you don't cut against the grain, she's going to be chewing all night. What I'm hearing is a nice quiet evening?
Claire the magnificent 😂
Do you play Yakuza? (the wiriting in the thumbnail is like the style in Yakuza)
That is the biggest carrot i have ever seen
I don't have chicken stock powder only the Better than Bouillon chicken paste ... can I just sub that in one to one?
I think btb is a little stronger so id skimp a little and then taste.
The link to the pepper flakes isn't working 😢
You are hilarious!!!!
Well, it is a little daunting 😑🤣😛
"Give it some privacy in your fridge!" 😂😅😂 yeah, because marinated beef needs privacy 🍖 it gives new meaning to Crying Tiger Beef 😭🐅
🤤
HODU!!!
7:59 sound like a pigeon xDD
Your wife is so pretty😍
Aw, that’s not nice! Poor Claire and her knife skills 😂😂
Great recipe videos.
The sarcastic whiny voice gets a bit grating though.
MSG is a recipe for cancer. I don't want to die yet, so I'll skip the msg for now, & by now I meant forever.😂
Dude, I love your videos but you really need to lay off on your "whiny viewer" voice.
Sometimes less is more.
Aaron!! I'd rather have you cook for me 🤣🤪
Hey Claire, have you ever tried candied ginger? it's yummy.
How can u tell the difference between regular soy sauce and dark soy sauce
Dark soy sauce is less salty than your regular soy sauce and has a much thicker consistency, so it’s mainly used for a deep, dark brown color! 😊🙌
The only thing blowing up here ,is the audience’s expectations 😅
