+gabbi h To me, it means that even though some pain may be temporary, it still hurts, and that's okay. He keeps finding himself stuck on the same pain, same problems. It's neither the first, not the last time he'll feel this way, and even though he knows it's not the end of the world, he can still recognise and accept that it hurts. It's still the end of today.

I hear it as someone who can't let go things that hurt them because of how fragile they are. they pretend to have let go of it and that "its the end of today" so there's new beginnings but in reality they just know they won't be taken seriously and their pain will be diminished because people think they're just "dramatic".
i understand that feeling, having so little left that the smallest things set you off and you know people don't understand. when you go back to thinking abt the same shit everyday because it's stings. especially when "the only thing you have" is the reason you're hurting. being "addicted to the wind" or as I see it, that pain because you're usually numb so atleast you're feeling something. this song makes me want to scream because that fits so perfectly.

i used this song to cope with my dad's death. i was in a really dark place and i had no idea what was happening to me. now that i look back, it was all so scary.
it got better, for a while. but 4 years later, here i am. i know nobody needs extra negativity but i don't think it ever really gets better. i think that's just something we tell ourselves till we sort of numb ourselves out of living. to the point of just existing.

I'm a newcomer I guess that's what people call people that are new to tøp? Ive been listening to them to a month now and I understand why people love them so much. The first song I saw by them was ruby and I listened to that a lot. I didn't know what band it was so I looked it up and I found more of their songs. Their lyrics are so relatable and like nothing Ive heard before. I'm so happy I found that one song. Ive been listening to this song a lot recently. Its my fave. Ive been facing really tough times lately and this song makes me feel so much better. I listened to tøp’s music a lot last winter when I was going through a lot of stuff. Whenever I go back and listen to their stuff I have to stop because it doesn’t make me remember specifics of the trauma I went through but just the emotions I felt and with my current recovery feeling those emotions again send me back ten steps. Thank you tøp for helping me then but I can’t listen to you anymore.

I haven't been able to listen to the older tøp songs in a while, but I used to listen to them when I was down and to help me sleep. I took a break from listening to most of their stuff (incidentally, it was also the majority of the hiatus) and only really listened to newer blurryface stuff and a small amount of vessel stuff. It's probably safe to say that I've matured as a fan, or maybe changed, perhaps I'm better with emotions now or maybe I've lost the key to the room I locked them in (lmao oops) but anyway,, i now find these songs great for listening to in the background of doing homework and revision. ...hm...it’s been so long and I’m revisiting this song, so many memories and emotions are flooding back that this song and many others helped me go through a rlly rlly dark time. Thank you Tyler and Josh. For keeping me alive, and making me realize..it is worth it. I made it. I defeated my demons.
This is my favourite song ever... I know it has a meaning itself but i made it mean something to me. I am an addict with a pen. Whenever i feel sad or low or even don't know how i feel i would just grab a piece of paper and start writing song lyrics or draw something or just write what is on my mind. Whether its my anxiety transformed into words or a drawing or just thoughts that i want to get off my mind i would just write it. "Some see a pen, i see a harpoon" is also a very important quote to me (ode to sleep used to be my favourite until i discovered this song aye). This song... every word... every sound... the way he pronounces the words... they mean something to me and make me so emotional.
