NYC 101: The prices are wild.
wildly good for groceries compared to canada!
We visited from CA in October and thought they were not bad either. Best deal in town are the fruit vendors on the streets (not sure if they're there in winter) selling California strawberry baskets for a buck!!
Great vlog on your arrival and first couple of days in NYC. You're getting the full NYC experience with a 4th floor walk up, Looks like you already have friends to go out with in NYC. Are you thinking of doing any of the museums or some Broadway theater? You certainly will not go hungry between visits to TJ and all the great restaurants. And yes it is cold. I couldn't handle it. Stay well.

hopefully you get a chance to catch a few broadway shows. I would also recommend some of the outdoor skating rinks as I think there is one in central park and one downtown. I would also recommend that boat tour even though it is a bit chilly this time of year.

I recommended visiting Sarabeth’s on the last video. But also, go check out the new Wegmans in manhattan. It’s a grocery store chain that’s very popular in northeast, but just got introduced to the city. Best large scale grocer I know of.

Even coming back as a citizen is pretty terrible. Everyone gets treated like criminals before entering, don't worry.
It’s so jarring-you travel in Europe or Canada and every border control agent is so nice. You come back to US (even as a US citizen supplying a US passport), and you’re immediately treated like a criminal. It’s so frustrating and sad. Land of the free, baby!
