Speaking of AI tools, I love using ChatGPT to draft letters to parents about upcoming tests, missing assignments, or other class updates. It saved me a lot of time and energy! I've also seen teachers use it to develop stations, which I find intriguing.
It's amazing!! I got into it in the second semester of last year. We have a few brand new teachers coming in this year, and I know it will help them so much. I'm excited to share some more with my teachers. Still in the playing with them stage, but I'll probably share the ones I like in an upcoming teacher PWM.
For the pages that you changed the months, i think it would be cute if you instead put your kids names on there, and then maybe contact info for their parents, special accommodations, things they like, special quirks, etc. Will help you get to know them a little better and you can even make small progress reports on how they are doing in the class. Im not a teacher but i just thought it would be awesome to include them in the planner (maybe even a small picture next to their info) so you can always remember who was in your class and what year!
OMG this is GENIUS!!!!! I'm a SPED teacher and I think I'm stealing this idea this year. It would help immensely to formally note what strategies they like, their favourite sensory items etc.
One idea for the checklist columns is to write the TEKS you need to cover during the year/semester/months and check them out as you do. Another one is to write your student’s names, the TEKS at the top and have symbols for mastered, not mastered, and progressing. This will give you a quick glimpse of what’s happening in your class.

I always love this video! The colors are spectacular. I bought the undated ppp vertical priorities planner and it has a hard cover. If/when you do cut off the hard cover, I’d love to see how you do that. It would be helpful to me. As always, best wishes to you and yours.

I always love seeing how you set up your planners. As it relates to school, I love the templates you use!! I am starting a new position in SPED and there are so many unknowns that I can’t really jump into the planner until training starts. Any tips you have received from SPED as it relates to an organized system in the planner??
I have always made a spreadsheet that I call a “cheat sheet” of all the kids’ accommodations. It helps so much! All of our SpEd teachers use one and that’s how I got the idea. I always use some washi to tape it in so I can update it and put in a new one when needed. You can also think of what headers you need on your weekly spread and try them out.

I just ordered this planner softbound. No rings! It’ll be my first time using a softbound planner, but I’m looking forward to it. I’m not a fan of the rings either.
I live in the Texas Panhandle (in the middle of the square part). We got out May 20 so we’re going back soon. Teachers return July 31, but I have some additional workdays to complete before then for my ITC position. It’s funny because I talked to some people last week on IG that JUST got out of school and we’re already heading back. 😳

Yes! That’s a solid option. We have a school google calendar called “Happenings” so that makes total sense to me.

It’s a Pentel Energel. I usually use the Zebra Sarasa Clip but I couldn’t find it on my desk. 😆
How do you like having lines on the weekly spread boxes? I’m trying to decide if I would prefer the soft bound as they have no lines!
I love it! It keeps my handwriting more uniform and I can time block better.
I always wished they didn’t label the 12 monthly boxes. They leave them blank on the life planners.
