You asked, "Who this bike is for?"... I have a GoCycle that I keep in my sailboat. It's light, & compact enough to store in tight spaces and is handy for (light) provisioning/exploring once I reach port.

Excellent. Perfect use case aligned with my travel range extender description. Thanks for watching and commenting!

What for? Business trips - I always take the bike with me on the German ICE express train. Comfortable journey from city to city, no need to chase my car for hours down the Autobahn, and highly flexible in the city. Maybe even a little fun ride in the evening before getting back to the hotel.

It's a beautiful design as every folding bike should be.
The issue being it's way to expensive for what it is.

Exotic materials but is held together when folded by an elastic band.

Thanks for watching. Yes, definitely a minimalist approach. Also some bands to hold phone in place. But it all works. Hinges have enough resistance that the band works when moving or lifting the bike.

do you think it would take light trail roads okay? cheers

Thanks for watching! Yes. I think light trail use would be fine. The rear and front suspension take out some bumps. As long as it’s not rocky. And you can swap the tires with something with more tread.

Can you take the bike on TGV and other European trains ? I understand that you need an enclosed case to take it on the Eurostar.

Thanks for watching. That I do not know as we are in the US. But I believe some type of bag cover or a box. I am curious if there is a box someone makes to carry the GoCycle.

I was looking at this in the UK, the shop informed me that the firmware would soon kill the boost button function to comply with European Economic Community regulations! Not sure what is happening in the USA. Lost it appeal for me in UK.

Thanks for watching and commenting. Yea, the rules vary quite a bit between the US and EU. Maybe with Brexit I would have thought UK could do its own thing on this. I think even without the boost feature speed and or motor output is also limited. But it will still work well as a city commuter as it was really designed for the UK urban scene. All the best!

Maybe jailbroken firmware is a thing?

@@BeyondTheTestDrive My e-Bike is set for 15.5 mph but does not stop me at 79 from travelling at 20 mph in town or 42mph down some hills here in the UK.
