As a videographer of music I can appreciate the amount of work that went into this production. It can be done. And the performance is very well done too. Richard MusicLover1948 San Diego CA
Chris, I did indeed make it to Oregon this summer, and played several times in Hood River. if you're interested, I'll be playing at the Trillium Cafe in HR around Christmastime. Details to follow. It's a mere 60 miles east o' Portland.
hi alonzo: i feel a little beat up after all this rain over the weekend. my sister is trapped in her home from the heaviest rains that the chicagoland area has received ever, and that wasn't even anything compared to "ike". thanks for asking how America is this morning. we shall survive. peace, rich
Top act Alonzo, you was born to play, I'm trying to work out your picking pattern, it dosn't sound right when I do it. I lead with my middle finger, like John Prine style.
+george akester Thank you. I learned by listening to Lead Belly (2 picks) and Doc Watson (3 picks), and in both cases thumb and index are the main movers.
Let me jump in quick here, having watched my own video for the first time in years---the fingerstyle most in evidence here is closer to Doc, Merle Travis or Chet Atkins than to Lead Belly's; but they're all great models to emulate.
Pure and incredible talent. Love listening to Mr. Garbanzo..Does justice to all the tunes he does..Thank you so very much for sharing your music.
Had to come back and listen again. What a great arrangement you have given his tune !
I'll pass that nice thought along to him. And for, uh, "the rest of us", many thanks for such kudos, sir!

Alonzo, Your video & the performance is excellent. I really liked it. How do you spell multi-instrumentalist?
Soon, soon. It's actually in process, but it's a big "Meat"-size project, so it will still be a while.
Hi Cyn! How's life over there in MOE?
Well, Stevie Wonder has, maybe...or Todd Rundgren. But maybe they're immortal souls!
Celestino, non sono Italiano, e non posso parlare Italiano molto bene! Probably didn't even get that right. Ah well.
