My second experience with an Electriq monitor has been a good one, here's my review of the Electriq 32" 4K 144hz IPS gaming monitor - which in my opinion is a great hybrid work/gaming monitor.
Hello Jack
Do you know where is the cheapest place to buy this exact monitor please?
Maybe you have some discounts code they gave you for your subscribers?
Thank you

@@JackWoodhams thank you Jack
I bought a 4k 28" electric 2 years ago for a bargain £350 quid and it has the same issues with bleed, esp on the left top corner. The issue that bugs me most is that to use its claimed 144hz you have to use dual DP 1.4 as it does not have HDMI 2.1, this caused flickering so i settled for one DP cable with 120hz 4k. So I do not get to use its maximum 144hz, but here i am 2 years later and its still working fine so for the price of £350 its hard to complain and since my gpu struggles to even get as high as 144fps in games, it doesnt matter anyway - if i had a more powerful card it might bother me a hell of a lot more. My user experience was 99% the same as you have reported, i guess that when it comes to getting the layers for IPS perfect to eliminate bleed, that is exactly where Electriq is cutting corners and pumping out solid budget 4k monitors. Would I pay extra for a better screen? I would, this was a purchase based on needing a new 4k asap and not having oodles of cash handy at the time.
Nice review, thrown you a sub.
I picked this monitor up for £349.99 and for value it’s perfect
£350 is great! Good catch. It's a brilliant monitor
Where did you buy it for £350 please
Thank you
What was your best settings for it
I ve got the 27 inch and i overclocked it at 134 hz as the 144 hz with two DP cables gave blurred image
I’ve had it for 2 and a half years its been amazing but the other day i was gaming and got blank, black screen that wont go away. Hate to think i wont get any more use out of it
@@FlowstateJ do you know it’s the monitor and not the GPU’?
@ i dont have pc i have ps5 and macbook, tried both so yhh i think the backlights gone on the monitor. £70-£200 was my quote
@@FlowstateJ This actually happened to my unit, so might just be dead 😓
I will let you know if the backlight can be fixed for cheap cause the screen is more then decent a lil £100 is good u can keep it as a 2nd monitor

Hi have you seen the 28” version ( eiQ-284K144FSGH ). Would it be worth getting since the brand is not that recognisable and there are literally no reviews out there
Beat me to it! Did you end up getting it?
@@danheath8999 no, and for 2 reason, there just wasn’t enough reviews made about it and most people I had asked on forums had never even heard of the brand and if they did it certainly wansnt because of monitors, and 2 I’m wanting to fully switch to PC by the end of this year so I end up getting an MSI G274QPF for 250€ on Black Friday saving a little on the monitor and then will hopefully upgrade to a 4k OLED sometime mid next year
@@Jervo2000 Fair enough. What did you go for in the end, or are you still browsing?

Do you have any settings for Xbox one X/S
For me it's the hdr on the monitor looks dull
Hi mate i just bought this and ive set it up, is there any chance you could share your settings for calibration
I can't sorry as it's a windows profile
Just bought the same! Struggling to fix the colours. Let me know if you find a fix
@@gibsonfilms8047 try get a Spyder callibrator can get them quite cheaply on eBay
@@gibsonfilms8047 i just tuned my saturation up a bit mate but was messing about with the backlight, brightness and contrast, still not the best picture yet
@Jambo Mac we are having compatibility issues it looks like. We are connecting through a macbook air via adapter/hdmi cable. How are you both connecting? Thanks
Any recommendation on the replacement stand really interested in getting this ! Great review ! How would you go about calibrating the colours ?
Hey Robbie, thanks for watching!
I have the Ergotoron HX arm but that was due to the weight of the ultrawide before. Really any monitor arm that supports up to 32" should work. For calibrating you want to look at the Spyder calibrators.

Should I buy this or spend 120 pound more and get the Dell 32 4K UHD Gaming Monitor - G3223Q? Do you think the Dell will be any better than this?
Is there anyway to get a remote for this monitor or an app that could work??
Unfortunately not
Is the hdr 500 nitts? Im currently trying to calibrate it but its looking awful
400
@@JackWoodhams thanks man, because when I was calibrating it at 400 the cross could be still seen until I was hitting 470 to 500 went away
Have you noticed any inverse ghosting (overshoot)? I have the 28 inch version of this and I can’t completely eliminate overshoot, even with overdrive set to 0
Not noticed any kind of ghosting on this!
Thanks for your reply! What do you have the overdrive set to usually? If I have mine set to anything above 0 then the overshoot becomes immediately obvious and quite bad. Even set to 0 I notice overshoot. I was just wondering if this is a fault in my unit as I’m not sure why I should be getting it even with overdrive off.
One more thing! Have you tested VRR on console? Does it work?
@@funs8582 Ive used freesync on PC - which is essentially the same thing so no reason to think it wont work.
@@JackWoodhams thanks your reply - but for anyone wondering, the monitor actually does not do VRR on console, I have checked with the manufacturers
Can someone give me settings for better imagine as I'm playing on pc with the 4090 and want a good image
It should already be good 🤔 4k on this monitor is great
@@JackWoodhams The HDR looks washed even though there is 1000 nits I thought you would have been clean image. What you you set the colour system on monitor
I just got this monitor and the colours out the box looks completely washed. Did you change any of the settings in the monitors osd settings?
I calibrated it. No change in the OSD. Did you get the IPS model?
Just figured it out, go into HDR and turn it on
Has any one noticed really bad viewing angles/colour uniformity? Especially visible when looking at lighter backgrounds at a slight angle - my previous VA viewing angles were way better
No problems for me! 🤔
Show us the ufo test?
There's literally zero point, the video is 30fps, the monitor is 144fps. OBS records in 60fps. Any visible ghosting or issues would be either worsened by the slower frame rate and be misrepresenting the screen.
