I've been using the DDR5 version of this for the past six months and haven't had any issues with it.

I measured the boot-time at my Z690 Tomahawk DDR4, it is under 20 seconds till i see my Windows Login Screen. I don‘t know if you tested just with standard or with which UEFI settings. Windows Fast Boot is activated, MSI fast boot is deactivated (only one of them work at a time), i deactivated every boot device except where my Windows installation is.
And what is with the BIOS settings at MSI and others when you benchmark with programs and games? ASUS has MultiCore Enhancement, MSI sets default (idk exactly) watercooling 4096 W limit and had CPU Core Apply Mode „All Core“ (is this like MCE at Asus)? Many benchmarks done here, i don‘t know if i should give them attention. Many details are missing or in-depth knowledge not shown.

Even the matx b660m and b760m from MSI were the best MOBO's compared to asus tuf and aorus.

Asus are also good but MSI tends to put all effort on the DrMos and Vrm Cooling and Aorus is meh

@@fuuneaki8729 asus is selling refurbished mobo the b660 tuf was hot as hell with is 12700k it was 106C
but MAG B660M MORTAR is cheaper and it has cooler VRM

I feel if you’re buying DDR4 or reusing your old DDR4 ….. you’re wanting to save money ….. so buy a Z690 chipset and and your desired cpu of choice and come out further ahead. If you’re after Z790 …. You go DDR5 and that’s it ….. my opinion anyways 💪😅👍

So where it the testing where u see how high the ddr4 can go on this board? for gamers that is the thing that is the most important thing when buying a new ddr4 lga1700 board... this is not a proper review.

It's a motherboard review not ram review, a quick look on MSI's specs tells you 5200mhz and that's what you roll with. To test ram speeds you'd have to test several kits for it to be accurate.

You do realize DDR4 is baaasically obsolete at this point, right?
Quit encouraging people to purchase DDR4 kits. It's time to move on, just like when DDR3 became obsolete.
    Cheers!~

Still far from obsolete, not everyone jumps at the latest hardware especially when it's barely necessary

Well, I asked myself the same thing, and found an interesting video from HUB which answered the question, but not deliberately, so you have to schedule out the results yourself. I'll give you the title on a second reply, in case that is not acceptable and gets deleted for some reason. The crux is, at 1440p, going with a typical 13600K cpu + D4 3600 cl16 + RTX 4090 = 206fps ave. For exact same cpu, mb, gpu, etc, except with D5 6400 memory, they averaged 217fps. So I take from that, the D5 option was +5% fps at 1440p, but with latency penalties(?) The cost variance was substantial, for both MB + RAM, so I chose D4 for now. There were a lot more cpu's, so make your own choice.
