So much respect for the amount of effort and dedication they put into this song every time. Other bands have this weird sense of shame with their 'biggest hits', but the Killers always give the audience what they came for

I don’t think it’s really shame, it’s just they get soooo tired of playing it for the 10 millionth time. Look up Guns N Roses Axl stops sweet child o mine mid song. He just got sick of playing it, and then the artists feel people don’t care about their newer stuff.

After their show in Denver, Colorado 17 years ago, I went to a Brit pop club called “Lipgloss” where the drummer Ronnie appeared. He was on the dance floor when THIS song came on, and it caught him by surprise. He was embarrassed by it, however the people he was with encouraged him to stay on the dance floor and dance to his own song. I’ll never forget how he looked dancing to his own song...so humble, happy, whilst enjoying it with the other people on the dance floor who had no idea he was in their presence.❤️
