I get that they wanted to make it easy for Yes Man to takeover House's position but it doesn't really make sense that only the securitrons directly in houses suite turn hostile while the rest are perfectly fine with you killing him. Or why they continue to work with House gone. This confrontation and the strip being in total chaos until Yes Man gets to houses Suite would have been amazing to see.
Because they didn't have time to finish the game. This is cut content, not new, and it was cut because scripting the siege of the Lucky 38 was taking months and couldn't be done in time for the game to ship.
I bet House made some countermeasure in case something went wrong and he went offline, the securitrons would still work normally until he came out of stasis and could control them again
@@jro-lf9ps I think I read that victor was wheeling around Goodsprings years before House came out of his coma. House himself also states that his securitrons have their own programming and don't have to be directly controlled by him or the Lucky 38's computer systems.
This would have been a great final stand for Victor. A good ol' duel right in the 38 But now when you kill Mr. House you can find him outside his shack in Goodsprings
Idk if Victor was always supposed to be the bouncer outside the lucky 38 or not but I’m imagining walking by after screwing over house just to see him gone for some reason.
Why hasn’t anyone made a working mod that restores the major cut content? You would think that would be top priority since it’s actual canon material but there’s only one on Nexus and it’s apparently broken.
I have to wonder: would this have been if you sided with either Ceaser's Legion or NCR, ala Beware the Wrath of Caesar!/Don't Tred on the Bear? It would have been interesting to see House's version of these two play out if you did side with either and he found out.
Or optionally, perhaps killing enough people on the Strip/not siding with the Strip in general will cause House to sic his Victor and his Securitrons on you. So many options had this played out.
I think they originally thought that to open the chambers where his body is you have to override the commands from differents terminal in the Vegas area like Vegas Steel, water pump etc (because you steel see the command in the terminal to do so). So probably you then would need to attack the strip and the lucky 38 before reaching house

Cause Vats it kind of overpowered. I find for example that semiautomatic rifles or rifles like paciencia are more worth it on Vats thanks to accurecy and critic damage
@@olgierdodimm234 yeah, that's also true, when you realize you can hit reliably despite distance and hit % (as long as it is 1%+) with low spread weapons you start to abuse vats like a maniac, paciencia, Gobi campaign and all American quickly become absurdly op, more than they already are
