Elias if you filled the bed of your pickup with water you would catch something. You have the touch along with all work/time you put in. Thanks for another great video.
Spring time is always a gamble.. Weather can change at the drop of a hat.. I can't believe you only have 128K subs.. this has always been a great channel to watch.. Thanks Elias.. Carry on son!
Two things. First, I have to commend you for the quality of your footage. So vivid. Second, I have a bear of a time in an outboard with the wind. I can’t imagine battling it in a kayak. Keep up the great work.
Youd actually be amazed. The hobie kayak is a great craft for station keeping in the wind. It literally does everything better than the boat besides boat rides and trolling. We all know trolling sucks.
I really appreciate these short vids, straight to the point and alot of action. People tend to make them longer after gaining subs and no one really wants to watch an hour of fishing lol great vids and great work all together. Definitely need more subs
Pretty cool. I don't do deeper off/near shore bottom jigging, but I do use paddletails on jighead and rigging hooks here inshore in Florida. That Purple/Chart color pattern is the bomb. I buy some from a young man in Hattiesburg MI and he uses the more commonly associated name for that pattern, Mardis Gras. The 3 and 4" Mardi Gras paddle tails are excellent and they work in just about all water colors and clarity. One of these days I need to adapt to deeper water soft plastic jigging and when I do those that you were using in this video would be perfect.
Elias you should really start think about joining the tagging program for those larger red drum. You seem to have it dialed in and it always helps to show they have a strong population.
Know what I’m saying!! Enjoy watching you work dude. I appreciate the hard work and dedication that you put in! Those Jigging World rods look nice! Might have to give them a try. That drum was a beast!!
Great video as always. Excellent quality! Excellent content! Excellent explanation! By far you’re the best kayak ocean channel I follow. One day maybe we’ll meet in my Hobie PA 14 for a 1 vs 1. I wouldn’t mind getting my butt handed to me. Also!!!!! Congratulations on getting married. She’s awesome and so glad you found the one
Maaan, I’m getting good at specification of the fish you catch, even though I have never fished salt water. That first fish was a “Sea Bass”, and your favorite to cook. 😜
I really want to get that Lure, my friend. my location fishing a lot of good contours. and a lot of fish. Unfortunately lure is hard to get in Indonesia. I can only dream in my sleep fishing in a way like you guys.
No apologies necessary - great vid - good you post the equipment. Haven't outfitted myself for bigger fish yet and the choices too numerous to decide myself. Rarely on salt water but going to try some river catfish on the Hudson and Connecticut, as I live between them both here in far western MA, the Berkshires. When visiting my son in Chesapeake VA will take my wooden dory and go out in the Bay somewhere. Don't like salt water anymore in anything smaller than my 17' dory, plenty of freeboard over the water, scoots a long with a little old Honda 2 Hp, 4 stroke. Also rows well or trolling motor fine, which I did plenty of with the Minn Kota on Narragansett in the upper bay near Providence, in the 90's. (Was always a big salt water (and fresh) swim and surf guy from youth in 50's/60's/early 70's. Swam in storm surf just for the challenge in S China Sea in 71, by myself out past the breakers and fighting my way back in - exciting stuff, almost drowned. 72 now so a lot more careful.) Committed sacrilege in the wooden boat by putting padded plastic swivel seats bolted onto the wood seats (thwarts), but sure is nice swivel to port or starboard and lean back and rest my feet on the gunnels. Enough rambling from old guy... Have a good one and stay safe out there
Just before I started watching this video UPS dropped off my Waterlands I ordered from the link of your last video, congrats on the big reds I won't be seeing anything that big around my part of FL until the fall.
That red was an absolute stud, looking to sell my 40lb sit on top kayak to get something along the lines of that to get out off wrightsville this summer .. need to land some hogs !
Nice man, haven't even been able to fish at all really this spring with the kids in school and the terrible weather up here around Delaware....worst spring we've had in awhile
Awesome vids and great style on your content. IMO you have a horse shoe, rabbit's foot, four leaf clover or something. I'm a decent fisherman and I have a hard time getting the results you do with the same tactics. Totally enjoy watching your fishing trips.
Great video. But fishing too small tackle imho. I used to be guilty of the same thing. It makes the retrieve much more fine. But you tire out the fish more. You want to get them out as soon as possible to avoid overstressing them.
I was listening to you fishing as I was in the kitchen washing the dishes mopping the floor and I thought Seth Rogan was fishing turns out it was you. he sound like you bro. love the content although I'm too much of a scary ass to fish out of a kayak in the ocean after watching you I might try it what is your take on the toadfish rod and reel combo and do they make a bait caster style reel. keep doing it man Love catch cook videos
Elias...man...those were some killer bulls! Since I live in NC and now have my own fishing yak, I want to do some of this stuff myself. Is there a local kayak group I could join to get some help/insite on getting my boat outfitted and possibly join some guys that know what they are doing? I do not want to do what you do by myself and without the proper gear.
Elias if you filled the bed of your pickup with water you would catch something. You have the touch along with all work/time you put in. Thanks for another great video.
Without a doubt. I think he could catch monster fish in a bathtub or drainage ditch. :D
Big facts 😂
Spring time is always a gamble.. Weather can change at the drop of a hat.. I can't believe you only have 128K subs.. this has always been a great channel to watch.. Thanks Elias.. Carry on son!
Elias, Wow that Drum was Huge. They seem to battle more than Stripers. Enjoy . God Bless

Youd actually be amazed. The hobie kayak is a great craft for station keeping in the wind. It literally does everything better than the boat besides boat rides and trolling. We all know trolling sucks.
The kayak has a much smaller profile (less surface area for the wind to catch) but still, it's brutal on a windy day.
That was a tank red fish. You gotta love this weather man. Awesome session!!
That Penn 2500 was really a warrior!
The King of Saltwater is back at it!
Finally a RUclipsr who actually catches big fish and doesn’t lie abt it unlike 617 fishing , angler up with brant , camera man ron, bearded brad ect
And no screaming like a little girl when a fish is caught.😬 🇺🇸🇨🇦🇺🇸

LOL! Shoulda heard Elias when the carp he hooked turned into a surgeon. It was so genuine!!
Man those Red Drums fight so hard! 👊 🎣
Thanks for all the new content this week!
I really appreciate these short vids, straight to the point and alot of action. People tend to make them longer after gaining subs and no one really wants to watch an hour of fishing lol great vids and great work all together. Definitely need more subs
That’s so cool . I’m a bass fisherman in pa and I like seeing this type of big swimbait fishing for some reason lol
So much more enjoyable watching you fishing in your current location as opposed to under a highway bridge in the Boroughs
Beautiful reds! Love catchin' 'em! 👍
I’m from Texas dude and I just wanna say how awesome your content is. Tight lines brother!
Love your channel and Sean's just righteous brother
That was a great red my friend.
I love how you set the drag so low and gasp for breath like you are giving birth to get us pumped about the fish you catch.

Great video, great to see back on your game…
Good to see some good stuff is moving back in. Another great video. Thanks.
NICE Reds!! Great video.
That purple and yellow jig looks like a Royal Gramma
Red drum was a serious fighter!
Could this be the year we see you get a cobia off the kayak? Off North Carolina ofc, the ones you caught in tampa don’t count.
Love the big bulls !!
Beautiful Red fish. I was on the Roanoke river today, stripers are still plentiful. Was a blast but a lot of boats and people.
Elias you should really start think about joining the tagging program for those larger red drum. You seem to have it dialed in and it always helps to show they have a strong population.
I gotta see how practical it is to use those tools on the kayak. It’s a great idea I’d like to do it.
yeah cause he doesnt have enough going on out there . lol
Really nice drum. As always thanks for sharing
Leaving the Stripers in Jersey this Friday to come down to South Carolina for a week. Hope to get on some big drum from the kayak.
Great vid. Those were some nice little monsters.
another great day. keep it going.
what is the name of the thing u apply to a softbait at 0:40 ...
Nice to see you back on the big drum! I need to get to one of the near shore AR’S but normally don’t have a kayak partner!!
Man I love watching your videos! I've learned a lot.
Enjoy your videos the variety is what I look forward to. THANKS 🇺🇸🇨🇦🇺🇸

nice fishing lures bro 🎣💯💯‼️
Some nice fish there! Do you not get nervous reaching over to boat your fish not knowing if a shark is ready to grab it? Greetings from Germany!👍🍻
Elias is a fishing god
Your videos are always entertaining!👍
That color burple and chartreuse is gonna be great in stained water
Sir, what was that you rubbed on the artificial before casting.
Nice fish man , good to see !

Stud fish man! Awesome fight.
You make it seem so easy!
Good stuff man!
I really want to get that Lure, my friend. my location fishing a lot of good contours. and a lot of fish. Unfortunately lure is hard to get in Indonesia. I can only dream in my sleep fishing in a way like you guys.
You just sold a lot of swim shads with that one. Ordering some now, lol. What a monster!
Awesome fish!
5.5 Purple / chartreuse swim/jig is not on the website anymore? Was just on there. Not listed. Thank you
Awesome stuff man! They were clobbering your lure! Would love to do some of this offshore jigging from the kayak like you do

Great video Elias thanks for sharing....cant wait to go damn wind wont mellow out damn-it....
Another great video!!! Are you using loop knots with these jig heads or are using some kind of cinch knot?
Are them reds a good eating fish?
You should come fish the “ride the Bull” kayak tournament in grand isle Louisiana
It’s been hot garbage here too
Fantastic gold fish!
Hey Man, will we get to see wedding pictures?
I posted a few on Instagram - @eliasvfishing
Solid !!
How do you like that penn. slammer vs say a Shimano vanford?
Good job 👏
Any plans to fish back down the Cape Fear to the OKI region? Other than the Pfizer dock, would love to see videos like Lockwood Folly/Varnamtown etc.
Such beefy little reels.
Nice fish brother
W Barney Said it all.........
Awesome vids and great style on your content. IMO you have a horse shoe, rabbit's foot, four leaf clover or something. I'm a decent fisherman and I have a hard time getting the results you do with the same tactics. Totally enjoy watching your fishing trips.
How deep of water did you catch that red on the tide line ?
Min 1.29😆😆😆. Really????😅😅😅😅. Yeah Bro, i know what you feel at this point🤣🤣🤣🤣. Nice vid like allways
Great video. But fishing too small tackle imho. I used to be guilty of the same thing. It makes the retrieve much more fine. But you tire out the fish more. You want to get them out as soon as possible to avoid overstressing them.
Fun day you had..are red drum in carp family? They remind me of carp.. just asking
Nice red's love your videos
Nice fishing
How many “grunts” does it take to land these fish? 🤣🤣
Great Job on fish and video! Fatty Reds! That will work the shoulder!
Wish you would say where you where fishing. I don’t mean GPS coordinates but even the state
Cool! Which kayak do you use?
Where were you fishing?
I was listening to you fishing as I was in the kitchen washing the dishes mopping the floor and I thought Seth Rogan was fishing turns out it was you. he sound like you bro. love the content although I'm too much of a scary ass to fish out of a kayak in the ocean after watching you I might try it what is your take on the toadfish rod and reel combo and do they make a bait caster style reel. keep doing it man Love catch cook videos
Can you say me the name of your bait. Where can I buy them.??
Hey Elias how are drums for eating 🤔 my guess no good for eating because I see you throw drums back.
What makes for an "okay" jig head versus a good one.
The 1x VMC hook is pretty weak under real pressure. But they have their time and place.
Damn I'd definitely trade out the Muskies for one of them. Gotta order the purple and chartreuse now.
First thought it was a black drum unless a shark. It turn out to be a black. Nice though.
