Your not the only one!!! 🤣🤣🤣 (except I feel like an idiot because I never catch anything.....and I'm thinking to myself, 'you're doing some shit you saw a guy on youtube doing...'😂)
@@mattjohnson4708 same, but it's mess-less and active. I figure he's using his electronics to target high probability spots unlike the peasants like us
that first red was AMAZING, that ring spot on the tail was so vivid! As for the jack, that's why I love the salt... you never know what you could catch!
I would love to target stripers and fluke or flounder with those paddletails. Keep up the great work Elias I love the idea of jigging. Actually jigged my first fluke this past Sunday but with a bloodworm on a flounder hook. Crazy! Over in Long Beach LI.
Hell yeah man! GREAT CATCH!!! I could definitely tell u were completely stoked this morning when i saw u at the ice machine. I ABSOLUTELY WOULD B 2!!!!! AWESOME VIDEO MAN!!! KEEP RIPPING LIPS!!!!!!!!!!🐠🐠🐠🐠🐠🤙🤙👍👍! Sincerely... the electrician!
That jack was insane! That's part of why I started recording my fishing adventures. Its capturing those moments that just seem so far out there you almost can't believe it happened sometimes!
what I love as a subscriber is that you try a wide variety of lures of which some I have purchased. You dispel the claim of many that the best inshore lures are slam shady etc, etc, of course no matter what the conditions the fish have to be there. Truly enjoy the variety of conditions and lures.
Awesome fish. You asked about the outer banks getting them... I've seen quite a few big jacks and even giant permit caught in poundnets in the pamlico sound, and used to see the big jacks while snorkeling around the Frisco pier. I'm sure they are around the jetty down there
I would use them for reds.... Awesome catch! I miss Meg out with you...maybe a beach video with her? I find myself laughing when she laughs....I know I am not alone in this. Keep jigging
What a blast with that Jack. I think I was just as excited as you were LOL! Sorry that you got poured on but that's mother nature for you. I would use those paddletails for jigging for Lake Trout from my kayak in the finger lakes.
I thought for sure that you hooked a big stingray. Amazing flounder there as well. In Florida we catch those Jacks all the time, I have never in my life seen one that big!!! Amberjack is a different story. Back in my younger days, we’d catch those schooling reds all the time, some were even as long as the boat seat. My dad and I always had a deal, whoever catches a 10lb speck first it gets mounted and on the wall. We’ve come close with some 7-8 pounders, but, that big one still eludes us. Very cool channel and I could smell the air and the water through the phone😁
I love your channel. I love seeing someone make videos of inshore fishing the NC coast. I would use the paddletails for reds and flounder down near Ocean Isle and South Port.
Wish I could give two thumbs up! This was a great one. I was thinking the first red drum was the one you were talking about in the description and then the last one hit, WOW! I would defiantly be jigging red drums with those paddletales. Obviously flounder like them too, just wish the season wasn't so short.
Wow, a friggin Canal Tuna in NC! Rare indeed. A fitting catch for Elias V though. I would love to fish the EV shad paddletails for Cape Fear River stripers this winter.
Going to use them to jig the NE Cape Fear for reds, but probably rays and then the IC for reds. Gotta get my boat wet soon, but just moved south to ILM for this fishing. Great fishery.
Wow! Pensacola Permit! :) Great surprise. Love your adventures. I would use those jigs for big trout in the deep, clear lakes in the NC Smoky Mts. Like when that Laker chased that jig you were retrieving thru 70 ft of water, smacked it on the surface, and keep coming up right out of the water. Like a tarpon. I choked on my drink and just about had a stroke. Gotta try it! You do great stuff. Very inspiring. REALLY appreciate being able to check in and watch during the week!!!
I'd love to use your paddletails to hook into reds, flatties, specks, spaniards, whiting & whatever I can get from the shores of NW Florida. You're a great kayak fishing teacher. Keep the vids coming!
Solid bag! That first red was an absolute beaut! Loved those spots. I fish all over the Fl panhandle and big bend, we hook into some monster jacks over in Panama City Beach! I would love to try those paddle tails on some deep drop offs just like you did here! Never know what you’ll find but my main target would absolutely be the flounder! Doesn’t matter how many doormats I’ve pulled in over the years, I still get giddy every time. Best eating inshore fish, imo. Tight lines, brother!
You are crazy for going through there in a kayak lol glad you survived! Well done fighting that jack with that current too what a memorable catch! Maybe I'll see you out there one day, tight lines 🎣
You guys are so lucky in the East Coast! We don’t have gamefish like Red’s/Drums or Tarpon here in CA. We have Yellowtail and White Seabass but nothing like what you guys have.. I’d love to use the paddle tails if I win the drawl.. if use it for halibut or rockfish 🙏🏻👍🏼
Elias, I would use them for Walleye/Musky here in Western Pa. You should make one mould about 9" Musky guys would scoop them uo. the biggest size you sell right now works great for Musky. You could sell them at Helanas Musky shop/ Thornbrothers, or target Striper fisherman in Tennessee like Big Fish Outfitters
Sweet video, I would use the jigs for surf fishing. I’ve just started fishing from the surf and done got addictive. Getting up my tackle now…. Have a good one.
Nice Jack , they always got me to think that I have a red , great fighters !!! Definitely I’ll try those paddle tails on reds!!! Great video as always Elias keep them coming!!! Tight lines!!!
Legend.. Epic Jack pulling that Hobie around like a mule and they don't tire at all it seems. Here on Lake Lanier the stripers would devour those jigging EV paddle tails when schooling on a blueback herring bait balls in the summer. Put them on an 3oz 8 arm umbrella rig trolled at the thermocline and HOLD ON brother !
E, I would definitely be after reds and specks with those ! Right now we either have 100+ temperature or bad thunderstorms :) That was a heck of a fight with that jack !!!
A fantastic catch. I think these would a blast to toss at the California Yellowtails. Big mean home guard jacks can be super aggressive around the islands off Baja.
That's awesome man! In great RUclips irony, you and Bama Beach Bum both had Jack videos recently with similar titles. I think any fish that is as aggressive and hard fighting as a jack is an awesome catch.
I could use that for everything, LM bass, stripers, reds in HHI SC, trout, flounder, jacks, pretty much anything! They look great! Keep the good videos coming!
Nice, that big Jack crushed it ! I thought it was a big drum the way it stayed down and pumped. I love getting into the 2lbers just for the fight and will occasionally go to Jack spot when I need a little pick me up. I am jealous, I get like .005 percent flounder in SW Fl. Usually a winter only treat but loved Md and De for the flatties. Fine, fun day Elias. Big paddle tails would be good for Blues and bigger trout when I need need a little bigger profile than my usual 3.5" swimtail.

Thanks for the info brother
Crap I needed those paddle tails. Bluefish destroyed a whole pack on me today. ;-)
I was just checking to see if Elias won his own baits.🤣
Thank You it’s not just on your channel it’s everywhere
Wow thanks for the warning, I actually thought I one. I never win anything lol
this channel has me trying to vertical jig everywhere. Probably one of the most fun ways to get hooked up.
Went last time I was in NC based off this channel...let me say, it did not go well as it does for Elias ha

@@gd3design63 get ya a pink gotcha plug, and fish off the end of a pier, plenty of blues, and Spanish macks.
WOW!! That Jack was a beast!
You know it’s a great catch when Elias actually gets that excited lmao. Cool to see them up that north
that first red was AMAZING, that ring spot on the tail was so vivid! As for the jack, that's why I love the salt... you never know what you could catch!
Good to see you so excited ! That’s what fishing is all about 👍🏻
There aren’t too many surprises left for the kayak GOAT, really cool to see Elias get something really unexpected
I'd love to give those Elias V paddletails on flounder or reds! Never caught a red, hoping this summer I'll get my first one!
"The chub rub zone" haha truer and more brutal words have never been spoken!
You’re HILARIOUS! The chub rub zone! 🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣 I’m an old retired MSGT…haven’t heard that one…and I’ve heard a few.😝
I would love to target stripers and fluke or flounder with those paddletails. Keep up the great work Elias I love the idea of jigging. Actually jigged my first fluke this past Sunday but with a bloodworm on a flounder hook. Crazy! Over in Long Beach LI.
So Elias - cool work. I’ll be targeting Stripers w your paddle tails! Already use the whiptails all the time. Looking forward! - Neil
Hell yeah man! GREAT CATCH!!! I could definitely tell u were completely stoked this morning when i saw u at the ice machine. I ABSOLUTELY WOULD B 2!!!!!
AWESOME VIDEO MAN!!! KEEP RIPPING LIPS!!!!!!!!!!🐠🐠🐠🐠🐠🤙🤙👍👍!
Sincerely... the electrician!
I would target stripers, walleye, or snakehead with the paddletails.... wish I could do ocean fishing like this!!! AWESOME WORK!!!
Jack's fight so hard, love em.
That jack was insane! That's part of why I started recording my fishing adventures. Its capturing those moments that just seem so far out there you almost can't believe it happened sometimes!

What an awesome catch with that Jack. Way to persevere through some challenges and get the big payday.
I would use them for reds.... Awesome catch! I miss Meg out with you...maybe a beach video with her? I find myself laughing when she laughs....I know I am not alone in this. Keep jigging
Striper and flounders !! As always another great video keep them coming.
What a blast with that Jack. I think I was just as excited as you were LOL!
Sorry that you got poured on but that's mother nature for you.
I would use those paddletails for jigging for Lake Trout from my kayak in the finger lakes.
I like this guys comments while he’s fighting these fish, I’ve been there and I love it, I love this guy

Wow ... what a catch! The Jack was a great surprise for all concerned ... .
An actual surprise!
Big Striper and hybrid on the river! Awesome paddletails dude!
What an awesome catch in North Carolina! That’s what makes salt water so much fun. I’d use those paddletails for reds and trout.
One of my best days fishing was chasing schools of those boiling in shins creek by the south end of wrightsville. So much fun to catch
In southeast NC, those paddletails are perfect for flounder, reds, and trout out of my kayak. Hell, maybe I can catch a jack trevalle too !!!
Congratulations brother I see the big smile on your face always nice to catch something unexpected.
That’s why I love salt water fishing. You never know what your gonna catch!!
Feels good to see Ole Elias excited it's rare
Definitely all inshore fish bro! That bait looks phenomenal and jammed packed with action!!!
I love your channel. I love seeing someone make videos of inshore fishing the NC coast. I would use the paddletails for reds and flounder down near Ocean Isle and South Port.
It never ceases to amaze me with what you can do with a peice of fiberglass, some line and alittle finesse. Great job. Damn I love fishing.
Striper, hybrids, and big largemouth!! Love to give them a shot!!
Wish I could give two thumbs up! This was a great one. I was thinking the first red drum was the one you were talking about in the description and then the last one hit, WOW!
I would defiantly be jigging red drums with those paddletales. Obviously flounder like them too, just wish the season wasn't so short.
Great day fishing! Thanks for sharing!
awesome surprise catch, big one too! Always great to see the mystery fish...unlike that pink bluefish episode near that bridge up north, lol
Wow, a friggin Canal Tuna in NC! Rare indeed. A fitting catch for Elias V though. I would love to fish the EV shad paddletails for Cape Fear River stripers this winter.
That was epic with the first drum and ending on that jack. Unreal the waters are in NC.
That was awesome. Fun to watch and can’t imagine pulling up a Jack C like that. Looks like those paddle tails will catch about anything.
I’d love to try those paddle tails wade fishing around Hatteras. Awesome catch with that Jack

I'll use the 4-1/2" paddle tails for primarily redfish and September flounders. Love your videos!
Awesome vid! I would use those paddle tails for either vertical jigging for drum or casting grass flats for drum
Would love to see you talk more about what you see on you GPS when you catch a fish. No one else does that! Great videos…watch you all the time.

Awesome catch Elias!! Hard fighting fish for sure!

Really cool catch. I had the same experience years ago off of the 4th island of the CBBT in August. I thought it was a huge drum too.
I would target some weakfish and stripers with those paddletails. Hey, maybe even some fluke! great video Elias!
Galveston Tuna...lol. Nice job on the Jack!!
Those paddletails look like some back water tarpon candy!! That's what I'd use them for.
Congratulation Eli!
Nice GT!
Love the fight a JC puts up. Even the little ones are great fun. You caught a monster and a rarity nonetheless. Well done Elias!
Nice jack buddy 👍👍👍...I would target snook with those swim baits.
That was a fun video to watch...suspense to the end. Good job
Awesome catch! I'd like to give those paddletails a go on some Texas Gulf reds.
I’d love to give the paddle tails a shot for some of my local snakeheads!
Well done! I've been fishing NC my whole life and have never caught a jack Crevalle inshore.
I love those redfish for the target. Thanks!
Nice Jack , they always got me to think that I have a red , great fighters !!!
Definitely I’ll try those paddle tails on reds!!!
Great video as always Elias keep them coming!!! Tight lines!!!
You sir are a fish magnet. Congrats on that first crevalle.
NICE catch! So good to see you out of your norm...congrats!
I would target striped bass, blues, fluke and Seabass with the paddle tails. Really enjoy the content, especially the sheepshead videos!

Great video. I would use the shads for striped bass and redfish! Trying to get better with targeting reds in the chesapeake!
