Pauly your certainly a good person. As an fellow addict I understand more than most what addiction does to a person. Each of us is alone on this earth. I never really knew what that meant till COVID came along. So I can just imagine what these two lads went true too.

Thanks for making these videos Pauly, i think people forget that drug addicts are people with a story. I hate the word "junkie", its so dehumanising. I also hate when people say "its a choice to be a drug addict"... yes its a choice but theres obviously a reason/ many reasons behind such a choice. I lived city centre for years, its so sad seeing people struggle, we saw it from our window. We tried to help, buying food, bringing down clothes we didnt need, we even had to call ambulances for people ODing, it just feels like its getting worse though.
The guy has been through a lot and maybe even done a lot too because of an addiction and he seems to be impressively self aware and a good head on his shoulders.
I hope things workout for him, by the sound of him I’d say he stands a good chance at turning his life around and good karma catching up to him
I remember a young boy who used to sit in Henry street begging he would of being no more than 10 or 12 years of age I was around the same age around the same time iam 33 now.. I remember when I was with my mam at the time and thinking how wrong it was I'll never forget that kids face he was in the same spot for a good few years the kid looks very similar to this guy...
Does anyone remember the same kid iam talking about ??????
The young boy used to sit in the same spot across from the ilac entrance on Henry street / mary street.
I remember him a slip of a lad. He would belt out the tunes. He had such a strong country accent that I couldn't understand a word he was singing. But pityful came to mind, I knew no child would willingly go into the middle a busy shopping street and sing the way he did. At that time there was maybe 3 people begging on our street's, how time's have changed. A city formally known as Dublin is now deceased.
I remember him well meself as a child I think he was a young traveller boy he had a brilliant voice

I used to be down at the site on Ringsend and I used to go off getting copper and scrap with the boys little scotch and Martin and Postman , I'm nearly 100 per cent sure that I seen Philip a couple of times down there...!! God Bless Them and I seen the help in the follow up video where Liberty soup run and yourself & all the other volunteers made the place looking amazing from what it was , Fair play to ye man...I wen't through a lot of shit myself but now I am living for my two son's and I am a singer/songwriter and I am also a Busker on the Dublin Scene...!! God bless you for putting up these videos that shows the reality of addiction and homelessness in Ireland , This Government needs to get their finger out and start investing in more drop in centre's and also build more affordable housing for this country. It's an absolute fkn Joke what's happening out there everyday and if the Government doe's not do something about this crisis there will be a lot that they will have to answer for , I'm ashamed of this country and it's lack of resources for people who are suffering...!! #MakeChangeNow #IrelandsHomelessCrisis #ResourcesAndFunding #SubcribeToKoldTurkey

The government need to wake up and start understanding people's problems that are poor and destituted and changing their lives for the better the European Union also needs to understand the problems in Ireland with the homeless destituted and poor and offer Ireland a rebate to help...
When you listen to the young man and he's life yet he's a shining example of how human beings should behave towards each other and help each other..... We are very proud of you......
