This is the problem with Ireland today. This young girl is obviously being affected by a mind-altering drug, How can we expect a person who is addicted to such a controlling drug to make the choice to help herself, I wouldn't trust her with a simple decision let alone a life-changing on like that. She needs to be picked up, and put into rehab against her will if needed until she comes off the substance and can actually make up her own mind and her own choice. There are no supports in place for people like this and the supports that are available are designed to just keep recycling her back into the broken system. The odds are this young girl will still be addicted to crack in a year or 10 years time. unfortunately, this young crack addict becoming an old crack addict is probably the best scenario here from the support the country offers. The system needs to change.
