Many years ago before Goa was what it is now we stay there for 6 months. Not somewhere I would bring kids because of the hygiene and the drug use among westerns was very messy, very strong China white was available everywhere and saw so many overdose after just one sniff like what's happened all over North America now with Fentenl. Local men as in all of India can be very pervy to women and young girls so not a place to bring your family and get a little stoned. Yes the hotels great for families and they would want you to stay inside the ground, to me that's not a holiday. The toilets on some beaches are unbelievable you're up about 12 feet pooing through a hole and the monkeys alert the pig when you climb up and the pigs are right there below you when you let go to clean it all up 😲 and believe me that spreads like 12 gage shotgun
