Playing a land first turn is such a underrated strat
noob obviously it's draw for turn, discard a card, and pass
My personal favorite turn one strat is to go second to slap down 4 ornithopters, then play 4 walking ballistas for 0, causing them to die instantly
Right? Its summon 7 artifact cards, draw 10 times. Then pass. Pfft, noobs

If it gets a Blizzardnerf i doubt i will still be able to use it. Know that ithink about they might place an actual blizzard inside it. And maybe turn everyone entering it into an exploding sheep/boar/cow/....

There weren't any more turns, I think. He just conceded after taking 16 to the face, probably because he drew nothing but lands.
he would've had 4 land and maybe 2 creatures out next turn so he was going to be dead in 1-2 turns.

Maybe he drew 2 black and the rest blue land and then that one 3 black mana card that kills a minion so he couldnt play it

That's it? I get the feeling MtG shot down most if not all of his ideas or made him go too safe with this. Could also be that he doesn't know enough of the game to come up with the gold comedy he does with the other.
It felt like he really didn't care about doing the game justice with this.
"Overpowered" was a much better Magic video, maybe it was just a time crunch.
Magic the gathering... an unnecessarily complicated mass of something. The physical manifestation of what it would look like if card games and the amount of rules in the american book of law had a baby.
@@lyxnyte9239 and that is why its great,for every cornercase is a rule, for every rule is a card that breaks it, for every card is a counter. its so complex that you learn new stuff every day, new interactions between the 20.000 cards there are. And Magic is social, you can sit down with friends at a table and play magic where as hearthstone is a singleplayer experience. You can choose between hundreds of formats(edh, modern, legacy, highlander just to name a few).
@@jalchi8367 Yeah. Dont get me wrong I can see why some people would like the game, its similar to Dota 2 in that way. Dota 2 is just a more [if I may use the term] calm yet difficult game, and I can enjoy that is all. ^_^

MtG is trying to push Arena's beta (or it soon coming out-of beta) and a lot of MtG players love Wronchi.
I found it pretty humorous. Unlike HS he doesn't have access to funny sound clips and a consistent art style to mess with so I doubt he could go into it with as much flexibility and detail as he has in the past with HS. If a change of pace and sponsorship is what it takes for him to make content at a regular basis i'm happy.
Less funny videos > never releasing a video ever.

@@rafigoghimarfirman3480 Well, the fact that the same two characters were commenators for a match in a previous video at least implies they're not random people.
Look....I really do respect you as a creator. But I'm going to be honest..these magic animations are very slow, and don't nearly have the amount of wit put into your other works. Most of the jokes drag on to a crawl.
I can't exactly tell why this is happening really to the magic videos. Maybe it's because of relying mostly on a lot of talking...?
I think the real problem is that he's describing the game in a way that assumes you don't know how to play the game. His hearthstone cartoons were great because you would see the interaction, and then you would be like, "hey, that happens in my hearthstone games too!" But these MTG cartoons forcefully explain all the jokes to you in such a detailed manner that It kinda ruins the joke. It may not be Wronchi's fault actually, as Wizards of The Coast may have told him to purposefully structure the video this way in order to introduce new players.
Yeah I feel like if he made a video of a standard match in the style of his Hearthstone ones (using cards that players know well for past-paced comedy) he could make something really great, but I doubt wizards would pay him for a video that would confuse new players (and new money)
Harder to do visual gags with a game like magic which has a pretty charmless art style. Also, no audio lines for every card or player characters.
But mtg arena has actual 3d animations for a lot of its cards and I feel he could've done something with that. The second mtg video was way better than this one because it referenced a kind of humorous strategy with rat colony, let the creatures talk, and made an actually clever infinity war reference. So that's what he can do with mtg. He just needs to do more of it.
No its because the game is more complicated than Dota and Starcraft combined. The message he is trying to get across to the veiwers is "dont play it unless you like to mentally suffer". lol He is bieng asked to make animations about the game by the company who makes the game, Wronchi wouldnt make an animation of such low quality like this unless he was bieng told to by somebody with alot fo green.

trample is by far the worst attribute in MTG, one thing mitigates what magic was supposed to be about, trading better than your opponent and winning, not just fuck everything you do i do dmg anyways

This comment section is ridiculous. MTG already struggles with readability in an online format. Look at any popular MTG video. There’s an insane amount of editing necessary to allow people to understand what’s going on. Then an animation comes out, and people want him to animate a llanowar elf, which no one even knows what the bottom half looks like. HS cards have little voice lines, and if you guys havent noticed, makes up most of their audio in the videos. Not to mention, HS art is inherently goofy, ridiculous, easy to meme. You want them to add charm to these things, but they dont give him much to work with. BUT HE MAKES A VIDEO SHOWING HOW MAGIC IN ITS SIMPLEST FORM CAN BE FUN, and you people just sit on your dildo, and complain. Obviously, he CAN animate like he does for other videos, but this video doesnt suck cause he didnt. I think a guilds video would be fun, but again, where’s the audio for that?? He has to va it all himself? Cmon guys...

I mean, we don't know his hand, and since he played a card to draw cards instead of, well, anything else, we can assume he didn't have much, so maybe that's why. Still feels like he gave up too early...

If only you could play with friends online in the game. Probably just que up and try and get lucky after 50 times or something. Just started playing the game and noticed there really wasn't an option to add friends.

What is the point in releasing a video in 2018 on the theme of a game that has existed since 1993, and which even without your snot has a huge fan base and which is the progenitor of a shitty heartstone.
Magic is a game I wanna play and i've played a little bit of but I suck at making decks so i haven't really been able to get into MTGA.
FYI you used to be able to unlock 10 precon decks in beta as opposed to 5 now randomly. Pretty greedy move

I've seen in it some decks online, so maybe I'll put it in some after I'll read the entire Wiki site about saga cards so I'll now what happens when I play it.
@@jackieririan it does the effects on the card, one each turn.
The problem is that it says your creatures can tap for mana. 8 of my creatures already do that...
Saga = (I) happens when it comes into play (II) happens at the start of your next turn (III) happens at the start of the turn after that. if (I) and (II) are next to the same textbox it applies to both

It's deal double damage to Gerald (player), that's the ability of this card. So 20-8*2=4
