Jonathan, Nicely done. I've always like battery power which eliminates the need for clean track. I agree with the other comments, that it would be nice to see the parts list and your battery car build process. You know, it might also be a good Etsy side hustle.
I converted my USAT locomotives to run off a battery/r/c car setup with an old aristocraft train engineer system. I've been using older DeWalt batteries but like your setup. Could you show how you did this? I'm sure it would help many g scale enthusiasts as well as myself. Thank you.
Very cool, is any way that can help everyone if you post the links for the parts that you use, and a digram for this set up,thank you so much for sharing your video
I always wondered why people didn't power locos via a battery, since if it rains the engine is useless most of the time especially if you have a grade.
I would love to see a follow up vid and more info on this set up!!

Great video- do you have a link for the voltage cut off/regulator?
I guess that would be an actual powered boxcar
Hey Jonathan, what voltage regulator are you using?
Awesome
How much run time do you get on a battery.
I was wondering the same thing. Really cool
Depending on the load I can usually get about 3 hours
