I like that I can paint and decal these parts as I need. Wish they did that will all trains, so I could number them anyway I wanted. Makes it easier to have a Regional rail road instead of just on of the big 7 RR's everybody enjoys. Is that FP45 project going on a GP38-2 subframe? or something different? How much time did you spend on the cab before you had a model that could actually be used? I would like to get a resin printer but have no idea where to start. And who did you watch to learn to make the cad drawings?
These trains have been converted to battery. Having outdoor track power would require a lot of cleaning. You also have to buy expensive brass or nickel silver track. With battery you don't have to clean and you can use cheaper aluminum track.
What scale are you printing the locomotive kits that you are selling? What you showed in the video looked bigger than H0. If do print H0 scale locomotive kits have you ever thought about doing a H0m SD 70 Ace BB body shell kit; ( reference google image VLi or Rumo SD70ACe BB).

Would be interesting to see you come up with container prints since they are so hard to come by if not down right expensive.
I have one designed, ill have to print it and see how it looks. Its really hard to get under that 50$ mark with paint, decals, and printing time.

The FP45 will be on its own frame. its going to have a 3 axle trucks just like the SD-70, so it will be almost as long as well.
When will your FP45 be in production?

i am working on my cab. what do you use for the glass? and how do you attach it? thank in advance
I cut out pieces of thin acrylic and glue them to the inside of the cab. Not super sophisticated but it looks great
