This guy was so cool. You can see he really loves what he does. God bless him!
You mean money hungry lmao
A sunglasses wearing car salesman. Nothing more…………nothing less.😮
No one money hungry talks about grain matching. That’s straight dedication to the craft. He’s just pumped to have been able to build his dream vehicle with no budget constraints.
I work in the industry and I must say, great build quality. It's about time someone is taking time and effort into making these things better. Most of the domestic brands are slapping them together so fast there is zero quality control and tbh it's quite amazing what people don't know about until they buy one and go through the experience. Keep it up!
That’s a great take! Thanks Vincent 🤙
@@tacomabeast Still a shitload of money though.
They obviously pulled out the stops for their prototype ... are they building bespoke for each customer so the quality remains high ?
@@lizsteeds6697you can get a trd off-road for less than 50k after taxes and registration. And a canopy , used for let's says a grand. Then hire an outfitter for $500 a day to set up a tent and cook for you and chop food and manage a fire. And do that for 20 days a year. For thirty years.....for less than the cost of this.
But wait, the $200,000 you saved means it accrues a return of 5-7 percent, so the interest alone pays for the outfitter, and you still have a truck with a canopy. That is capable offroad.
And in thirty years you still have the money . Because you only spent the interest off it.
You can tell how passionate this man is, the price point isn't for everyone and he acknowledges that. But the detail and craftsmanship speaks for itself.
I love this dudes honesty! 14:50
"'98 subaru w an air mattress"
haha hellll yeah
"if you're in a '98 Subaru, with an air mattress in the back, and you're gettin' it...we're about that!" I love this, because it's so true. This is a dream rig!
I can't believe that craftsmanship is so overlooked in our times. You can just tell the craftsmanship this young builder ascribes to. Great job young man!
Glad to see you appreciate it too 🔥
This might be the best rig I’ve seen. Congratulations to this guy. It’s absolutely apparent that they put in a lot of thought and effort in this project.
🙌
Inside looks so spacious for a size that it sits on a pickup! Amazing what they could cramp inside it.
Matt, you guys did an amazing job. Your attention to all of the detailing is top notch.
Part outdoors man, part engineer, & part yacht builder.
Nicely done!
Much success to you!
I love his energy plus you can tell he loves what he and his partner have created
Man i love Matt's energy seems like a real genuine down to earth guy. Wish i could afford one of these but for now i can dream lol
He was way cooler in person 🙌
G 16:30 props to this guy…totally honest about the price but is all about getting outside no matter what you have or can afford . cool dude
That has to be one of the best designed campers I have seen!!! Really beautiful:D
🙌🙌
Not as beautiful as you bro
It better be since it’s more than a lot of peoples houses
@@TJackSurvival well technically that is a house on wheels
@@c-zen890 you are not wrong
I was really impressed with the guy when he said, even with a Subaru and a mattress in the back" its all about getting in there.
That’s what it’s all about
The Danfoss compressor fridge and the exquisite teak paneling are my favorite. What a lovely van. There is no wood like teak, the best, just wow!
Stunning 😳, I’m glad how he’s honest. He knows that’s super expensive but also knows that’s not the only way to get out and love the outdoors but there’s a market for those with the 💰 and someone will buy this high end product that doesn’t want to stomp around in a giant earth roamer.
Exactly 🙌
On point mate, i love when he mentioned that you don't need super huge budget to enjoy the outdoors, even with the smallest budget you could still go out there and enjoy. He even said that this beast is just one of the option to go.
@@fadelabdurrahman3469 You can get a Australian designed camper for under $10k US and it'll do the job but your camping not glamping.
This is a best of both worlds..house on wheels but off-road kinda capable.
this concept is soooo perfect! mark my word, this is going to become the blueprint for most RVs.
I would consider selling my house and just living in this full time. Amazing! God bless you and your talent.
I just love how passionate this guy is... He really loves what he's about & it's just exciting to watch him go on about it... Such a vibe.
I would choose one of these over an rv, trailer etc. any day. Even if I wasn’t planning on overlanding.
I would choose it too if I had an extra 325K lying around. Not. Not worth it on any level.
“If you’re in a ‘98 Subaru…with an air mattress in the back…and you’re getting it…we’re about that. I’m like HELL YEAH MAN!”
I love this guys passion for this build. I love this more than the EarthRoamer!
This is by far the best custom build i have ever seen
🔥🔥
RUclips algorithm finally recommended smth good, what an amazing, amazing camper.
The guy that build the truck if very cool and look passionate, the truck is insane too
Matt is my dude! His energy makes me want to buy this rig now.
Completely agree. Excellent presentation of a remarkable achievement.
Im buying it. This guy is only 2 hrs north of me. Im in!!!
Too much bro dude vibe IMO.
The fact that he admits its a crazy price and using an air mattress is just as awesome for outdoor life really helped with understanding how nice he was.
@@Exiauwu people with the money to buy this do.
That is one beautiful camper. The woodwork is awesome, everything I see is so well done. I hope these guys are very successful.
Their attention to detail is incredible 👏
Finally a guys who understands the importance of toilets and bathrooms inside. People have big vans but yet tends to avoid to build toilet and use portable ones instead. Nice build
For a Tacoma with this is impressive … I still feel this would work better with a tundra or any full sized pick up ( as far as proportions go ) but it’s still eye catching and definitely something I would consider
would be nice to see the new hybrid tundras converted into a motorhome.
@John 3:12 you can do the same with an old Tacoma
But then you gotta spend another 20K when the engine blows up
@@baddriversofthenorcalarea500 … Toyota’s engines are very reliable ( but I’m not sure bout the new 2023 models just yet
@@baddriversofthenorcalarea500It's not impossible, but you gotta work for it to blow up a Taco engine, especially if you don't completely neglect your maintenance.
This is the perfect vehicle for me during lunch break
Holly, This is the greatest rig I've seen. So much thought went into it. If you want a life to remember , gotta get one. You can tell this kid is gonna go faaaar!
This is a masterpiece, end of story! And the guy who built it looks so passionate about it!
Wow! The attention to detail on this rig is amazing. I've never really liked these overland trucks, but this is on a whole other level. I'd consider one of these.
@Nightwatch Exactly, for that amount of money it depreciates from day one.
Better to buy a 300K house and upgrade with the other 25K the bathrooms and kitchen.
Love how stoked this guy is, clearly loves what he does. Beautiful camper, wish u all the success
Wow just wow !! Love every little detail and thought into this thing. No compromise! The price shows it but pat on the back… this would be an ultimate dream for me and the family
Thanks for the kind words!
The access to the cab of the truck is my favorite part
It looks so badass!
This is BEAUTIFUL. You can tell this guy loves what he does and is passionate about it!! Truly impressed!
When you said "we have 1,000 in camper design" I went damn. For folks not into math this equals 8 hours a day for 5 days a week for 6 months. Basically 1/2 a working year for 1 person. Also love the sentiment of this is not only way to go its an option. Its out of my price range but its a great looking rig.
Yeah then factor in a team and you get down to a week haha
Dude seems chill asf
Awesome to see extreme attention to detail and beautiful craftsmanship in this build. Breathtaking.
For this price point you can buy fully loaded Winnie Revel or put a camper on a full size/super duty truck. Tacoma is woefully underpowered to live like this. Great product for sure, looks so awesome. But for my money there are much better options
I would buy that but can’t fit in toilet
While true the point here is weight and size savings
Couldn't agree more
Honestly for this kind of money you could just get a toy hauler and ATV
You could buy a diesel pusher or a f450 and a 40 foot 5th wheel for the same price as this, lmao. Crazy price.
impressive! 320K can buy a decent house at a lot of places. but, this is still very nice to have when traveling around the county.
u can rent a truck like that and buy a house, the truck will lose value as time goes by, but house is going up. Im going to take a rain check on that taco, tundra would be better.
Folding back captain's chairs with another Bed option that goes over the 2 would be so awesome. Seat 4 people, beds for a couple up top, 1 in the Sectional, and 1 in the cab... crazy. This thing is amazing.
That’s a great idea! They should hire you 😂
So far away from me affording it, but I really think these guys made a beautiful build. This is fantastic. This is very well thought out.
I think it's about 99 percent of us not being able to afford 325k for a camper truck 😂
Im Almost Close to Early Retirement. THIS WILL BE MY FIRST PURCHASE!
The best small camper i've ever seen here in youtube. Best build ever wow!
If cost means nothing to you this would be my daily transport. Imagine being off grid ready all the time. I love this. C'mon lottery 🤞
If it ever came to that and you needed to bug out, you’d be a rolling bullseye in this. You wouldn’t have it long.
@@jspin1103 na mate just have to go far enough
@@1986subway You wouldn’t make it far. That’s my point. 🤦🏻♂️
Oh u waiting for that lottery too? 😜 Welcome to the club
Very sweet, but $425k is so much 😭
EDIT: To clarify. The price is for a fully optioned BCT... it's in their website. Base is $325k
He also said, “it’s all about being outside” 😂.
Yea costs more than my house lol. Sweet ride though but for that much, I’d rather get a Unimog rig. Those can be had for around this range.
Pretty sure its 285k
@@modizzle2221 all decked out its 425 I checked the website
Matt made a really great point at 14:57, its okay if it ain’t for you bro 🤷♂️
this is one of the best Taco's I've ever seen...but Matt's enthusiasm about the rig is pretty awesome! He was as passionate about the rig as the '98 Subaru...would love to see this in person!
It’s sick in person for sure 🔥
I’ve seen a ton of camper videos and this one is by far the best!
Great job guys!
Thanks bro!
Saw this in person at overland expo, was the best built vehicle there and by far my favorite build of the year.
Agreed!
this dudes passion an attention to detail is un matched. he should be really proud of this product! impressive Matt!!
It was pretty cool seeing this from the outside when I was at the Storyteller Overland booth in Tahoe. Glad to hear about some the specifications as well. I still love my Storyteller Overland Beast Mode.
Absolutely amazingly engineered! A straight up yacht on 4x4
yep, a yacht of this quality is easily over a million bucks. I thought the price was insane until I saw the inside. This is quite reasonable for $250k for what you're getting. You can spend a lot less for the same size but not that kind of fit and finish. This is obviously for modest millionaires that don't like the sea or want to spend on a yacht. Yachts are a pain on operating cost, this not so much.
This is the most fancy truck house Ive ever seen; its so fully functional, especially, oh lord, that bathroom!
So incredibly proud to see what you all have built. I've driven the Pan Am several times, ( Tn 2 Argentina) but if I would have had something like this I would still be out there, lol. Thank you.
😂🙌
Sweet ! Glad to see innovation and design still matters.
MATT has great apeal and energy/vibe. This is why you could be the best sales agent!
Amazing, I wasn't into RVs because of the bulk I think. This just looks so practical and agile. The use of space is well thought out. A big markup for sure, but seems reasonable.
@clot shot Seriously.
And it's a Tacoma
I own a cabinetry company, book matched grain in a RV, sick. Congrats
do you happen to know what teak they used that's both lighter and stronger.
@@monsiuersmartypants3391 guarantee it’s a composite (often carbon fiber) core with teak veneer. Pretty standard on nautical cabinetry.
That interior is so much nicer than I was expecting, this guy knows his stuff.
It’s like a yatch
@@tacomabeast 100% most American RV and trailers I see are honestly God awful both in the interior and exterior when done by larger companies. This guy though has done well.
Wow this is truly legendary. So inspiring to see what you guys built!
Interior starts at 8:43
it really feels like a 20ft sailboat. this guy is a genius and he is very humble as well. i wish you all the best!
Congrats to you guys, you have gone beyond everything possible, vehicle and camper with price, compared to that of a Earthromer, I would go with this design any day of the week, month, or year. Well done happy to see something else on the market that will be easily available to all out there. 👌
Thanks! But all the credit for sure goes to the guys over at truckhouse
Half the price of an LTi, shrunk way down, probably close to half the weight of the XV-SX, and probably capable of going way more places just on account of that. I'd build a little utility trailer for some firewood, extra fuel, and water filtration, and disappear for months at a time.
If I had money for it in hand, I'd be calling them in a heartbeat. That dude is clearly living his passion, knowledgeable, and his enthusiasm is infectious. Everything you'd want a brand ambassador to be.
Craziest build by far !!!! But just wishing I could afford 🔥🔥🔥🔥
One of the best rigs I've seen in years. I'm a boat person so can appreciate the joinery.
“It’s all about the Taco man!”
Nuff said😂
Great looking kit! This is about the closest alternative to an EarthRoamer that I have seen.
What a great build! So much better than all those vans. The attention to detail is wonderful. We just bought a Winnebago trailer and although I love it, we have seen as we have done some renovations, how they are basically slapped together…
This really is a masterpiece...I'm honestly not even upset at the price.
🙌
Had my doubts on the price as well, but they’ve gone above and beyond with the quality. Definitely not built for the average overlander but if I won the lotto I know where I’m heading for my new RV!
Wish them all the luck as I’d love to see either a drop on shell or a more affordable unit.
I was skeptical with 180k Sprinter Revels floating around and the lack of quality of there. But the wood grain match on the countertop trim is MONEY. Hope they sell a couple and hope they can find a way to make this more affordable with less options. Best overland camper/shell design i've seen.
@@nickardecky7404, truth!
I am really hoping that Tacomabeast can get a demo unit for his channel. It looks like it can handle more then most overland units like this, so will be nice to see in action!
Matching teak grain from each cabinet door to the next and matching teak grain on the counter top edge. This alone is worth the money!! 😂 👍
Wow very well done, love the attention to detail. I knew with that level of craftsmanship it would be pricey.
Question, is the rest of your rig equipped to go as high as your snorkel? I was looking at your door entrance. If not.......why even have it?
"The BCT starts at $325,000 and a fully optioned rig costs about $425,000" SHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEESH
Exactly. I could buy a camp on an acre on a lake for that. Plus a camp truck.
14:57
@@tacomabeast Oh i get it, but the difference between people spending 10k, even 25k, 30k on their trucks is a big difference to short of half a mil. This is a dream setup for 99.999% of your viewers.
@@17cmmittlererminenwerfer81
You could buy a 2000 sqf house on just about any lake here in Missouri for that and still have enough to buy a boat for your new dock!
I think people who can afford this can also have all the other stuff in this price range as well lol
That thing is beyond beautiful. I would live in that full time for several years and love every minute of it.
I think this is the best i have seen so far, when it come to a camper truck.
Man that’s awesome 🤩 I wish they have a thundra version !! Keep up the good work!
Would you buy one?
@@Judgemental_Crow Hell yeah !!!!
For that kind of money I would buy a coach bus
Amazing! Amazing!! Amazing build!! Hands down..
if this bad boi is less than 200k, I would seriously think about it.
I have that unit available for purchase in my showroom and it cost $194k just two units left .
I'll never own one, but that is some master craft stuff, really amazing!
never say never
Bro Indeed you’re really a Tacoma Beast. How much will this cost?
That is the sickest rig! Love it!
Imagine all the tacos you can have and mods you can do with that price tag 🏷
14:57 🤷♂️
This is crazy good. He's a beast for bringing yacht-level interior to a motorhome.
It's an incredible build - Matt seems upwardly mobile and a great spokesperson for his brand.
"What better platform than the Tacoma?"
Rhetorical question is quite rhetorical..
I would love to see what he could do with a 1/2, 3/4 or 1 ton. Seems much more apropos for the weight (AND PRICING) of what he's designed
So, you'd prefer this camper on a truck actually rated for its weight? INCREDIBLE!
That is sweet! I put an order for the same build.... (in my dreams)
Incredible vehicle. Incredible builder. If I was in the market to spend this much on an overland rig, I might not consider this vehicle on its own, but if Matt was the one selling it to me, I most definitely would. That line about getting out there in your Subaru with an air mattress… dude. This guy knows. Incredible video as well, thank you guys
From what I heard, the Tacoma’s are underpowered as it is, I wonder how it can pull all this added weight. I suspect off-road capabilities is diminished due to the height of the shell; not expecting it to conquer MOAB or drive it thru off-camber trails but you get my point. While I appreciate the engineering of the built, there are other good options if you’re prepared to drop $325K. ✌️
They glossed over it for a second in the video, it's re-geared to exactly around the ballpark of 5.29:1 or somewhere around there
They supercharged & regeared it. I bet it drives pretty good! It's a camper, not a sports car...
@@gabrielezimmerman9146 Huh, who said it is a sports car? And you can supercharge and re-gear all you want, IMO Tacoma is too small a truck to haul all that weight… unless your idea of overland adventures is at campsites.
@@mariog5062 bro dont let all the haters steer you wrong. These tacos have plenty of power for what they are. I have no problems towing my 19’ bay boat. They are tough
@@robertbennett3363 Exactly what I was trying to point out. 👍
Nailed it, amazing craftsmanship.
I'm Salivating over the quality and design of the camper house!❤
Absolutely Amazing! What a beautiful vehicle.
My concern with using a Tacoma as the platform is that the transmission & engine are already anemic in stock form. I was getting 16 mpg with my Tacoma on 33s. You can swap gears & do intake work, but it’s still a very underpowered truck.
I traded for a Ford F-150 & I’m getting better mileage, despite a heavier truck, larger tires, & more power. Not hating on this build; quite the opposite - would love to see something like this for a full-size truck, where the chassis & powertrain can truly handle the weight.
I couldn’t agree more. I didn’t watch the whole video, but let’s hope they at least went with the manual transmission. That truck won’t get out of its on way on the interstate.
I think that’s why he mentioned in all the other versions they added a supercharger
Maybe they'll do a Tundra version. Would love to see that.
Would love to see it on a 2500.. this thing is for the weekend warriors with more money than sense.
While I still have some reservations regarding the Tacoma platform, I have no doubt about the passion and expertise of the 2 founders, Matt & Nicolo. Go watch the RUclips "Hi-Lo" podcast interview of these two guys. Yeah, you get a lot of "awesome" and "dude" in the conversation, but stick out the 1.5 hour podcast and their commitment to putting out a top-notch product and the trials and tribulations they endured really comes through... I'm sold!
They’re honestly great dudes overall!
Everyone's gotta have a dream, that's a wet dream for sure, pretty sweet.
This looks sick, very well designed, and thought out. If you said $150K or even $185K I would understand. But $425K? This is insane. Regardless, I wish I could afford one!
They won't sell many. Probably 10 throughout the life of this company if they don't fail by next year due to greed.
@@omarwilliams6729 Given that you have to wait nearly a year to take delivery of a $750k Earthroamer after placing an order, I doubt they will have much trouble filling the order books as long as the economy keeps humming along.
Wow, that is something else. Makes my hallmark look like a dog. Pretty impressive how knowledgeable and skillful this guy is for his age. Love the squaw topo; my mountain.
What an incredible build! Now that I’ve seen deeper into it I completely understand the price point, well worth it!
🙌
This is an incredibly, well-thought out design. The aesthetic is really good looking and the mechanical upgrades are fantastically on-point. The interior is well appointed and surprisingly spacious.
@12:52 I love his honesty. Especially his comment about the Subaru and an air mattress. Dude seems cool. Amazing product, I wish I could afford this lol
This thing is sick! Costs more than my house 😂
