I cannot wait to buy this game 😂. Love your videos. It makes it easier to choose games.
I agree, I just discovered these guys and I got a VR about a month ago and beat Batman VR. I love there honest, but professional reviews!
Thank you! :D
I watch your review before buying all my psvr games
I really enjoyed this and the original. The option for continues makes it feel more like Time Crisis for me. Compared to the original when you lost, I felt like it was always like digging in your pocket for another quarter, but you were always too slow and had to reset. Great review as always Bryan.
It looks great! Your reviews are always spot on! Just the right length, trusted, and honest.
Still need a House or The Dead VR game smh
HotD would be incredible. But Namco needs to get on board too with Vampire Night and Time Crisis 2-4! :D
PSVR Without Parole Excellent video as always Brian
Pleaseeee
really hoping the remakes of the first two House Of The Dead games will have a VR option, still waiting for any news on when they are coming
You guys have made me spend a lot of money lately, love y’all
Stay safe bruhs❤️💯
Nice! I’m definitely going to get this on a sale. I really liked the first one and this one looks even better
on sale rn for 10$ for psn and 12$ for normal players
This one looks so amazing. The fact you can get continues sells me on it. Great review 👌
No crouch button unfortunately means a pass for me. These old knees can't handle it. I bought the OG and couldn't play it for the same reason. Thanks for the review.
I agree, need a crouch button..I haven’t even played the first game but I believe I’m gonna pick it up since it’s regular price is under $10...I think I will pull a chair up behind me so when it comes time to crouch,I can just sit my ass in a chair..Lol...I’m in the same boat,my knees can’t take it
For people with limited mobility it would be nice for a crouch. Even if it had a mid level crouch then another tap for a lower crouch it would help more people play.
Same problem with Pistol whip I’m too tired to crouch sometimes lol
I would opt for a crouch button just because the more options the better but this game was definitely meant to force you to be face down ass up irl
I will not buy the game for the same reason. And my knees are healthy.
I've recently got PSVR, I'm building up a selection of VR games for it and this channel is my guide on what to buy. Great concise reviews.
Hey thanks Nad. Some of the older reviews are a little rough (I was still learning lol) so if you have any questions, just let me know! :D
Great review of a great game. The only thing not mentioned is the fun you get from listening to the guy talking to you throughout the whole game. Very sarcastic......that's why I like him ;-)
I liked the voiceovers, but too many of the lines were repeated from CV1. I would have liked new sarcastic insults! :D
Thanks bryan for the good review Iam gone buy this game today can’t wait your the man
3:38 Nice shot :)
Great channel man! Always consult your reviews before I make a PSVR purchase. I bought this last week because I had a 20$ PSN card and it legit made me go out and buy a PSVR aim, the fact that you get an assault rifle by default with the aim makes it SLIGHTLY easier...still haven't beat level 1 yet...but I did make it a lil farther, my leg muscles are slowly getting stronger too. 🤣
Thank you for another great PSVR review. God bless!
Great review once again. Like many, I think I’ll wait for this on sale/updates before I take the plunge. Recently went on a massive PSVR purchasing spree so have a back log of games. 😂
I remember my first massive PSVR spree 😌
A reviewer who doesn't rely on crass toilet gags and language, very welcome. Nice review, I'm tempted by this, even though I only have a controller, not the sticks or a gun.
Loved the first one so much I didn’t even wait for a review. Glad I didn’t though, the game is awesome!
I used to love Time Crisis back in the end. I might have to pick this up!
Well I just finished my first play through of the first level with my Aim controller and I’m a sweaty smiling mess lol. This is a lot of fun! I really hope we get some more content for this down the road seeing as I only have two more levels to play, but I can definitely see myself replaying this for quite a bit before it gets old. I think that’s the biggest workout I’ve ever gotten out of my PSVR, and I’m sure I look hilarious to my neighbors if they happen to look through my window lol. I’m enjoying myself so far!
Absolutely love this game. Exhilarating
Sega should make a Yakuza vr game without the fighting. Just Walk in the streets of japan. Go on dates eat at restaurants, play games in arcades
Nice review Bryan, think my playthrough is gonna take a lot longer than yours, I lost count of the amount of times I died on the first couple of stages of the firsts VRigade
I’m glad they haven’t re-invented the wheel with the second outing, shame Co-op’s not available from the start, though my gaming is pretty much all solo anyway
I can only play these sorts of games in short bursts due to an old injury which prevents me playing games for long periods of times standing, so having a crouch button implemented would be a game changer for me
Not quite sure which control scheme I’ll adopt, aim controller is an obvious choice, though it always feels a little weird with dual wielding
Great detailed review! You make a good point about the accessibility issue with no duck button. Hopefully we see the devs add it from feedback like this. We love this game. If you are interested, check out our first level run that we did using only the stock pistol and no deaths! It was a fun challenge :)
Anyways, great review! Subbed!
Thanks for the review Bryan. It sounds like the power ups have made the game a little easier. The game doesn’t force you to buy power ups I assume, which would make it harder but not as hard as hell mode.
Nope, you never have to buy anything so the game can be just as tough as the original if you decide to play that way. The only difference in difficulty I found was that I never ran out of time - which I did frequently in CV1.
Doesnt force you? Have you played the game for long? The lazer pointer is mandatory. Shooting without it sucks, there's no reticle to use like in regular shooters. But it sucks that the lazer pointer has to be bought *every time.*
Its absolute bs that you die from *one* shot. The AI are pixel perfect with their shots, especially in the 3rd level. Making it mandatory to buy those extra lives(and the best pistol. Or rifle if you use the aim controller).
I wouldnt mind if the deaths if things were exactly like in Arcade shooters where you could keep continuing. But no, you get just two continues, which isnt enough. Especially in the 3rd level where after you get to mow down tons of agents from The Matrix with a minigun(I'm not kidding), a train crashes down & kills you. It took two continues to get there, but wtf are you supposed to do against the train? You cant move around.
No wonder there are barely any videos or forum posts on this game. Its fake challenge, its lazy game design holds the game back, and it sucks to have to go back to levels just to grind tokens for the extra lives & lazer pointer. Come on, the game forces you to wait when transitioning to the next point, but the enemy gets to shoot you immediately.
Its like the game was meant for co-op(which would explain the trash partner AI) only. The first game has it, but the 2nd doesn't.
And the devs have the balls to put in achievements for completing every level *without* consumables?
Damn sounds like you had a rough time with this one. I had fun, finished it in a few hours and didn’t think it was all that challenging compared to CV1 honestly. Still hoping they’ll bring us more stages though - 3 for $20 feels steep.
EDIT: The first game only got co-op recently. Multiplayer for CV2 is almost done! :D
@@WithoutParole Few hours? How many cheap deaths occured in those few hours?
A lot of deaths! Learning where the enemies were and which ones to focus on first took awhile.
One thing that I think doesn't get appreciated enough about this game and the original is how well it's designed with a conscious understanding of what cover is available.
For example, the second stage, I realized I could duck under a table and shoot underneath it, between the legs, and shoot through them.
Having experience with a game engine, I know that that's not a big deal to program as it's just a matter of telling the engine to create a collider that matches the mesh of the object. It's a lot more taxing just to make a collider that's like (say) a cube that looks roughly like an object, but then your bullets would basically collide with the air between empty spaces in the apparent object.
One of the many things I'm finding that I hate about Walking Dead: Saints and Sinners (sorry!) is that they don't do this in many places even though you AND the enemies can see each other through invisible colliders. So, doing something like trying to shoot between polls supporting a banister doesn't work as bullets hit the invisible collider.
The point though is that both CV games are really ingeniously designed with that detail in mind. You REALLY need to take advantage of being able to shoot between every crack and splinter that can give you cover. That's the kind of thing that makes the CV games so engrossing.
Im fixing to finally jump into co op with my daughter on this game. Great review
Almost bought this today but then i got side tracked. Trying to setup my channel for my very first livestream
Great review, what is that 4th controller option at the end?
Its games like this that show the great ability of vr.
And then they continue to drop the ball.
I just want every resident evil made in vr.
Sitting on my couch using a controller.
Game is CRAZY.. Definitely got that John Wick feel to it.. Duck down, spin around, Keep shooting or get shot.. Fast pace, lots of guns & shooting. NOT FOR THE LAZY !!!
It is indeed a workout. Crouching and crouching again and again is necessary.
holy shit, I got here from crisis vrigade 1 and I immediately see a huge upgrade in graphics!
I have to set up a yoga mat where I play bc of all the ducking
Thanks great review
Great, spot-on review! :) It really is amazing how the graphics are night and day but the game plays mostly the same as the first.
I love this game. I'm determined to play it like the first one without spending tokens on consumables or continues -- gotten the first level done so far. I sure do love the tokens system though that clearly makes this more accessible for people who don't care for the all-or-nothing challenge of the original for a clever way to get something in between. I think the scripting of the areas is brilliant too.
I heard that it doesn't even have a Pro patch yet which blows my mind as it looks amazing anyway.
So what do you guys think, this vs the original? I want to think I like this one better but the original is still great. But I think the enemy placement is a lot more sensible in this game right now, enemies act a little smarter and come out of cover at times that make a lot of sense based on where you're situated. It is pretty funny how they used the SAME voice and lines for the radio communication as the first as it seems a bit out of place here.
Nice review
The lack of a Crouch/Hide option is a big mistake, they obviously haven't listened to the feedback from the first game. Which is a shame because this looks as close to Time Crisis as we're gonna get for now. Might pick it up when it inevitably goes on sale...
In the first game I preferred the move controllers over the Aim controller and the pistol mechanics. On this one the Aim controller is incredible with the awesome selection of guns. Pistols are not enough to get the job done well. The game itself is absolutely fabulous. The graphics and immersion are top notch! Second only to Firewall.
It might be the fact that I'm a certified trophy whore, but the fact that this doesn't have a platinum in 2020 is simply inexcusable and I won't be picking it up now unfortunately.
Great review! I'm getting very Police 911 vibes and I dig that a lot!
This game is awsome and i think its a must buy, yeah its thin on content but its fun to replay, and i am shore the will add more missions, its a small team and i love when devs are trying to give us something new. So if you are on the fence i say give it a go, you wont regret it and i think they will add lots of content in the future :)
I absolutely agree. I’ve only played for about half hour with the Aim controller and beat the first level and I already know it was $20 well spent. I’m having a ton of fun with it, and I also think this game will get more content in the next coming months. It sure is a workout lol!
A year later, and Co-op is finally in the game. *WOW,* that made a huge difference. I played through the first level so far, but a 2nd player helps.
That difficulty select change is bs. You still lose a life after *one* shot on the easiest difficulty, and that riot shield patch doesnt help either, but co-op definitely helps this game & it shouldve been in the game a year ago.
Online co-op and too few levels for the price tag should no longer be issues because they released 3 more levels and co-op is here!
I think a great addition to this game would be an option to chose at the start of the game what vantage points you have. The game is going to have 3 player co-op yeah, so that means everytime you play with 2 other players , you all start each scene in a different place ,for example....player One behind police car ,player two behind wall and player three maybe behind wall on other side ( these are only guesses to use as example) at start of a single player game you could pick maybe default vantage points, alternative vantage points 2and 3. Effectively tripling the size of the game if you want to finish it each way. Would of thought it wouldnt be too much for the Dev team to do as the vantage points are allready going to be there for the 3 player co-op. They don't even have to add scenes for this to work. What does everyone ( who has played it ) think ?
I think this is the first game in a while that I bought before watching your review. I am having a lot of fun with the game. Hoping they come out with a few more levels for this one. Oh and my game keeps crashing. Not sure why. On the OG PS4 and headset.
Maybe try booting your PS4 into safe mode and try rebuilt database?
Nice review
Already beat the first level but I’m trying my hardest to beat the rest now 😂
How long are the levels? On average in your opinion
Remember all those great PS2 snowboarding games? Why can't they do any of that in VR?
SSX was awesome. Maybe now that EA is taking the VR plunge they'll consider it. :D
The problem i have with shooter vr games that allow the aim gun is I want to use the motion controllers to use the pistols since it feels better like that but then the aim gun makes the machine guns work better and nicer but then using the pistols with the aim gun sucks. So it’s hard to choose
my kind of game I like the movement :) my wife thought I got mental when i played Onward :D
Not sure why but this is the only vr game I have that runs into desynchronisation issues from time to time, and any time im try and hold a rifle with both hands, its goes really weird. I don’t experience this issue with any other game
'bout time! I had to watch reviews from shady Shugg and prickly Paul. Sheesh.
I thought it was just me and Will. I have no idea who those other cats are. :D
@@WithoutParole Paul's funny af but also annoying af too, but Shugg's decent enough mate. Nothing compared to here tho obvs...
This is currently 50% off (40% if you don't have PSN+)... atleast in the EU Store.
Great looking game but $20 is a bit steep for this kind of game... $10 would be the ideal price for me to buy it at but I am kinda cheap when it comes to spending money on video games.
It's fun but my thighs are definitely feeling it after just 1 day of playing, just gotta get good, lol
Starting to see a lot of rinse and repeat mechanics wise with vr games. I keep seeing games and just thinking "i already own this vr game with a different skin and title essentially" I really hope ps5 vr opens up new possibilities with VR and helps devs imaginations run wild. To me theres so much currently unused potential for crazy never before seen games/experiences on VR we just need some devs thinking outside the box. Maybe once more triple A studios start to give vr a chance we may see this happen hopefully.
Interesting take. Personally I don't think we have enough of this classic light-gun inspired genre. We have enough wave shooters, but rail shooters? Bring em on! :D
@@WithoutParole yeah a good difference i didbt think of tbf when i remember the games ive played they are mainly wave shooters.
You have to be behind cover the whole time if you want to stand a chance. Enemies never stop firing make this not very fun imo.
Really excited for this but I was shocked when I found out it was $20. I’m gonna hold out for a sale, especially since I still haven’t beat the first game. It’s so dang difficult!!!
If CV2 had 5 levels and online co-op at launch, $20 would have seemed totally fair. As is, it felt a tad too expensive for the content... Luckily what's here is a lot of fun, and hopefully Suma Lab will add to it like they did with CV1. :D
PSVR Without Parole Agreed! It’s funny because I had the opposite reaction to the first game, in that I was shocked the price was so low lol
Would you recommend playing the first one before getting this ?, or do you think it's alright to just jump straight into the second one?
The first game is awesome - it already has the 3-player online co-op patched in and it's only $9. So yeah - you might want to play CV1 first! :D
@@WithoutParole thanks for the reply, and tbh I was a little put off originally about getting either game as I was worried they would be too difficult, as I've heard that they are fairly difficult but I'll definitely give the first game a try.
Harry Bilton I believe what makes the first one probably harder is the power ups are sparse and they are only in the game as an item you have to shoot, while you are trying not to get shot. I found the game challenging but addicting.
The first game is brutal and you're going to fail a lot. But in my opinion replaying levels never felt like a slog because its just so much fun the entire time.
I wonder if they plan on releasing any additional levels like CV1
Everytime I try to put my second hand on a automatic gun and aim in my arms tweak all over the damn place, so I just stick to pistols only
Gonna wait for a sale.
Looks amazing, but i dont think its worth full price. Waiting for sale as well!
Pretty epic
what is the fourth thing on the bottom left? 4:40
Where is my Vader Immortal??? It’s summer already!!
Unfortunately summer doesn’t technically end until September 22nd. They will probably give it to us on September 21st with our luck. lol
I'm paralyzed so no crouch button is a no for me dawg
Do any of them have smooth locomotion
Do any of them have smooth locomotion
hey guys I have a problem so whenever I accidentally press the button and it gave me a shield on my left hand can somebody tell me how to reverse that
What is reload mode a and b do?
How do you film the social screen output?
Get a capture card and run the signal through that (and your PC) before sending it back to your TV.
Man only if it had co-op
It's a 8/10 for me
can i run this game on gtx 1050ti?
Anyone in the u.s still playing this? Trying to find some new people to play this online with. Every time I find a coop person randomly they either drop out mid way or die all but immediately on the second stage
Try asking in our discord: discord.gg/Pm2YRcV
It's one of the best places to find people for multiplayer games! :D
still only on psstore? wanna have a physical disk. anyone?
Was looking forward to this game but having athiritis in both knees damn no crouch button it's sadly a pass
Ugh cannot play my vr for a few weeks. Got a lense scratch due to glasses and after having it for a month was able to convince walmart to return it. Got the new one but waiting until either the glasses guard or my lens lab covers comes in to play the new set. With covid it is going to be like another two weeks. 😢
Glasses guard? I've never heard of that, where can I buy one? Please and thanks ☺
@@mikezombie2195 a guy from the uk sells awesome ones via ebay and etsy i believe. Search deluxe psvr guards. Like 8 bucks. Issue is travel is slow like 4-6 weeks due to covid. Vr lens labs sells glass lens covers with a blue light guard but ship from Thailand.
@@mikezombie2195 got my guards today so about a week and a half for delivery.
Thank you for the reply, I'll definitely look into them.
Cheers!
Is this game multiplayer yet??
Nice°!!
I hope my friends get this game so that we have a multiplayer game
Why don't u just buy the game for all ur friends? You're rich enough. All that Gov $$ u get for being blind + the $$ u made from setting fires.
@@jerryjoe88 where can i get paid for setting fires?
@@kojinmaster Ask Blindfirebomber
It’s a lot of fun
Hey you uploaded this vid as I was playing it. Still has many issues, when picking up bonus weapons with the aim controller, the weapons are outside your hands and are offset to the side, and whenever I press retry, the game crashes
Woah. That never happened to me. But thanks for the heads up, hopefully the devs are listening.
PSVR Without Parole I'll restart it, see if it helps.
cool
Does this game have ammunition?
I had it twice now, that I could not reload and had to die to restart, and I only played about 7-8 rounds :(
Hey Bel. Were you playing with the AIM or Moves? Either one has an auto-reload option. But (with manual reload) if you're using the Moves, you have to grab a clip from your waist, put it in the gun then cock it. With the AIM you just have to hit L1.
It was with the AIM, also in “only” 2 out of 10 rounds (and I was recharging a lot.
So maybe it’s pretty rare, but according to AJ they know the bug and work on it.
Is it one time payment?
I'm not sure I understand the question - are you asking if there are MTX in the game? Because the answer to that is no. All the in-game "purchases" are made with in-game currency you acquire just by playing the game. :D
Is this coop
Not yet. There were a lot of delays getting the co-op mode to PSVR, but it's almost here. :D
I kinda like the old are style more. The new one looks generic
Hi 👋
Hello! :D
OK they put it back on the psvr2 store yet you can not play it wtf.....
2 more days!
@@WithoutParole oh OK thanks
One more question lol do you know when ghost of tabor is coming to psvr2
@@KingEnvy9845 it's been delayed into 2024, that's about all we know right now
Too hard and too easy all at the same time huh? Um. 🤔
gotta say, I don't want to buy it ful the $20 price tag, so I'm glad it's on sale now for $11,99
edit: bought it a couple of hours ago, fucking christ what a shitstorm. in an hour and a half, itmanaged to crash 4 times
Also negative, no left handed support.
So what does the "swap hands" option do?
It looks whack.
I'd love a full firewall game, campaign and different multiplayer games
This game is bullshit. Sure, the immersion's great, but it starts you off with a shitty pistol, first of all. And it shouldnt take tons of deaths before winning the *first* damn level. Seriously, getting through the first three sections is fine(well, with the better pistol), but the fourth? How tf am I supposed to shoot the guy with the RPG when there's multiple enemies on high spots, and you cannot survive alot of shots? If there were selectable difficulties, I'd win.
And this is the sequel. I dont want to know how much hell the first one is.
Oh, and before anyone says that's how arcade shooters are, one, they're not. You can survive far longer in Time Crisis or Terminator Salvation(which still doesnt have a console port, or a VR port at this point). Two, those games have co-op, this doesnt.
*UPDATE:* Ive beaten the main game(I will NEVER play the Hell Mode), the fake challenge is the one thing holding it back. And considering that no one has posted full gameplay of each mission(or, not when I was playing through the game), shows that tons of other people know that too. But Ive posted a playthrough for those that are trying to beat it.
No full body so i won’t buy it.
The narrator is so annoying.
Me? Beyond annoying. Can you imagine having this voice in your head 24/7? :D
@@WithoutParole lol.
Just bought the game. I can't believe how unbelievably difficult it is. If you're lucky enough not to have problems with the tracking of the controllers you might stand a chance to finish the game. Otherwise you're screwed
