The Grail Diary that your get in the box is cute but you also need it to complete the game. In the catacombs you are told of accounts that describe the Grail, and one of them is accurate. You have to read the accounts in the Grail Diary to know which cup to pick at the end. You have to view the painting in the castle to know which is the accurate account by looking at whether or not the Grail in the painting glows.
I absolutely adored this game, finished it several times too. And I have to say, that I still prefer it to Monkey Island games, also Fate of the Atlantis was a great game, although a chore on Amiga, as it came on 11 floppy disks, and swapping all the time was getting tedious and it took forever. But we were used to it at that time ;-)
I'm a huge fan of Indiana Jones and, yes, I also prefer Indy games ;) And my favorite point n click graphic adventure is Fate of Atlantis, but on the PC! What a game! :) Cheers, Gilles!
one of the first games i ever played on my dad's MS DOS PC, and now replaying it for the first time in over 20 years is weird I can still remember so many little things..
justsomebassplayer I really love point'n'click adventure games, and this one is, for me, one of the best! And, as a huge Indiana Jones fan, I was truly addicted to this game! Finished it on the PC and on the Amiga ;) Thanks for your comments! ;)
Not quite a review, more of a historical overview. But here is my review: Worst adventure game I've ever played. Illogical puzzles, dead ends everywhere, dying over and over, pixelhunting. . . sigh. . . 1/10 . .

Nice review!
But you missed one thing; the adventure also came out for FM Towns.
The DOS VGA version was based on this port.
Thanks for the reminder! I really appreciate it! :)

Finished the VGA version last weekend :) Good review!
Thanks for watching one of my early videos here on RUclips! :)
Maybe my first ever Lucasarts Adventure game. Not quite up to the standard of FOA/MI/DOTT but I still loved it to bits.
I'm a huge fan of the movie, The Last Crusade, so the adventure game just blew me away! :) Love it to this day!
Omg the memories =)

I'm disappointed in admitting I have yet to play this game. I do need to correct that. Same goes for Fate of Atlantis.
