To me, Damian is the best locktician in the world. Why? He cares about each client having a healthy set of locks every time. He tells you the truth, the mechanics and how to care for your hair yourself. He's not trying to become a million dollar stylist at his client's expense. There are some locticians like this in Virginia--Lock capital of the US; however, it should be a lot more than there are.

Your videos are so inspirational. Do you use the same products on all of your clients? Or do you use different products for different hair textured clients? One last question what products do you recommend for individuals who what to loc their hair but refuse to go to the salon?

Do you always twist to the right? Is there a time where you twist to the left?
Depends on client and if they retwist themselves bc some. People are left handed so its easier for them to retwist comfortably

I live an hour away from Cleveland, OH. I think that there is a salon in Cleveland that Damian visited. If I can't have my hair done by Damian himself, then at the very least I'll go to someone he's trained.

So my son is 4 and I've deciding to loc his hair. Before finding out about your videos, I used 'Jamaican Mango and Lime Lock gel. Is that product okay to use? or should I be using something different. Also, for locs I should use a shampoos/conditioners WITH Sulphates, right??
My hair is longer than his and my shrinkage was shorter.

Tapy aka Rebecca mine is locing. I have big loopy and S shaped curls. It's long as well. It just takes a little longer.
I'd never loc my hair but I'd love to try some coils out for a few weeks at a time or a couple months back to back but then I'd miss my hair as is and want to wash them out and do something else. Good job Damien! ☺
