Got to have an Axis, no doubt it. Andrew knows his stuff as well as Gerry Cole his salesman. I do not have a fork lift that can lift 2500 lbs. Once I make arrangements for unloading an Axis, my order is going to be placed with Gerry. I’m a one horse operation with a most capable helper. She works circles around some men I view on RUclips. I taught her everything she knows about processing firewood, even a power chainsaw. Safety first iis what I preach. Looking forward to what revolutionizes my operation.
I probably can't afford it right now, but if I could I would buy it from you just because you just demonstrate your product and never bad mouth your competitors. That sez a lot about your character. Keep up the good work man👍👍
Looks like you guys have definitely done proper research and development on this machine. You’ve thought about anything and everything that could go wrong and addressed it. Looks like a solid piece of equipment
Another GREAT SPLITTER IS BORN !!!!! Eastonmade never disappoints Love this new machine and the new conveyor design . The little important details that save time and labor are never overlooked . The conveyor is SWEET Congrats on another OUTSTANDING PRODUCT ! say hello to the boys !
So nice to see our very own Ontario company ship Buckin Billy Ray out this famous splitter. They are just west of Ottawa in Balderson. I knew this area because it's the home of the famous Balderson cheese. Just a 7 hour drive from my place. So happy for you Buckin Billy and your customers! A back saver and a time saver. Thanks for being so kind!
Great video Andrew and fantastic machine! I’ve been watching the Axis being used by Gord, GP OUTDOORS and the crew of friends that work together in Canada, and they’re making your machine work good around there. Thanks to all of you folks for sharing and caring to make it so everyone can work easier as we age. Best wishes to you all, Fred. 🙏🏻🙏🏻👍🏻👍🏻👏🏻👏🏻✋🏻✋🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Eastonmade Wood Splitters being 16 and starting a fire wood stand seeing this things is incredible I could do more in a day then 4 with my axe lol how insane👍
Question about the Eastonmade AXIS Wood Splitter: I see that the up and down motion of the wedge is controlled by the foot operated lever. For someone that does not have very good use of their legs, for example : Arthritis in the Knees; would it be possible to have a hand operated lever installed, instead of the foot lever ?
I watched your video on the Axis vertical splitter , I would not need the Conveyer As I will just be doing wood for myself, I like it because I have a little shoulder and back problems , this would be ideal for me What is the price range
A couple questions for you. First, how much wood does that bag system hold? A face cord? What brand is that bag, not familiar with that style. Also, once the bag is loaded with wood how do you unload it from the stand? Thanks.
Bag holds 35 cubic feet. A little less than a face cord. The bag is from bag supplies canada. I lift the skid up to get the loos of the bag off the rack and then pick up the bag with the forks through the loops
7' is pretty accurate. Haven't thought to much more about it. The biggest probably having a longer attached conveyor is the balance of the machine. You could buy the machine without an attached elevator and purchase one of out stand alone units
I'm keen to see if you make a machine "inspired" by the WP840. Seeing the Axis come to proof of concept I just know you'd address all the issues I have with the 840 if you were to create a new "mini processor" to accompany your line of splitters. I'd like to give you a call if thats OK and throw some ideas around with you
How does the retail price on this Axis vertical splitter compare to a horizontal splitter with the box wedge? Performance being equal in terms of hydraulic power and cycle time.
This is quite a bit less expensive. I is $11000usd with the conveyor. It doesn't perform as fast as our horizontals, but it does offer another level of precision. Thanks for the feedback
I watched Chris in Wisconsin using an AXIS. In using this machine he found out if you are splitting a log that is not cut straight it can skip out and possible hit the operator or anyone standing nearby. This is mostly due to the shiny slippery surface you would be splitting on. Due you think fabricating some holes right under the splitting wedge on the deck would help alleviate this problem? Holes would not interfere with the skidding motion of the wood being worked on.
@@EastonmadeWoodSplitters finally found the info I was looking for, lol. You guys need to put that stat on your product page on your website. My old back is telling me I am close to pulling the trigger on this. ;) Is the height adjustable or fixed?

Yes; works really well
