I love your videos and your beautiful paintings, very educational, clear explanation. Your sense of humor is a wonderful addition. Thank you so much for sharing your gifts!
😂Ohh gosh, I love the new name (the Hallelujah Brush) for the #3 rigger that is going to be stuck in my head forever now. I also appreciate the size of the paper this week. Love 💕 the humor & another great lesson for me to try with my new primary colors. Thanks for sharing your tutorials with us. Have a great day & weekend ahead Paul & Margot!!
Oh my gosh, you make this look easy!! I was so intrigued by only using 3 colors, and now I'm going to have to give it a try! Thank you so much from snowy Alberta, Canada!!
Beautiful and lovely music 🎶!!! Your trusty number three rigger finished the awesome painting. I almost feel like the sun became brighter as you added more to the picture!!! 🎉 God bless you and Margot this holiday season and always! With love and gratitude from a California Gramma ❤️
What can I said Paul..... YOU ARE BEST!!!!!! Thank so much for all your grate ideas and making things so uncomplicated. You're really an inspiration for so many of us. GOd keeps blessings you with your incredible talent. Feliz Navidad, to every one in your family. ❤ Adela
WOW Paul! You NEVER cease to amaze! One word kept coming to mind when I watched this “GENIUS” ! Those long dramatic shadows really make the painting pop! I can’t wait to paint this one! 😂 😂hallelujah ! Thank you Paul , many blessings to you and Margot !!
Amazing ... 20 minutes of video fly by so quickly ... I have to wrap my head around 3 hours. Knowing the supplies and how to use them is very helpful, But most of all the description of your thoughts and then doing it is very rewarding. {yes, the experience of doing watercolor makes a difference too} I found myself saying, Oh my, don't forget the shadow on the pump, and you always see and remember. Absolutely love the guitar. It always appears like the initial look at the finished painting is complicated. I now understand that you will make it fun and relatively much easier. As always your words of encouragement and to enjoy are welcome. Here in the U.S. it said you posted it one hour ago and by the time I looked at the comments, there were dozens. Congratulations, your mission Captain, is successful. .... DGD
Hello Mr. Clark, Greetings from Gulfport, Mississippi. I was fortunate to stumble onto your You Tube channel a while back and I must say that I learned more in the first five minutes of watching your lessons than I have in a three day in-person workshop. I love your art, teaching, music and HUMOR! 😃 I can tell that you put so much thought and effort into your weekly productions. Most informative, inspiring and enjoyable. Thank you so very much.
Hallo Paul ,wieder ein wunderschönes Bild. Ich bin wie immer begeistert. Ich wünsche dir und deiner Familie eine gesunde Weihnachtszeit. Liebe Grüße Bertchen 😊
Thank you so much, Paul! This was such a great, fun lesson and I love your painting, I am recommending you to my daughter who is planning to move from graphite pencil sketching into watercolor painting.
Thank you for this beautiful tutorial and the technique advice throughout!! Really enjoyed this and the warm to cool of the painting. Thank you to the Wednesday group for sharing their paintings with us!! :0)
Oh I love these snowy pub paintings!!! Think I need to ditch my coloured pencils for a wee while & get my paints out…….youre such an inspiration Paul!! 😍☃️❄️
Good afternoon, dear Paul! The winter has come and your painting is seasonable! Light comes from your artwork and this is the most precious achievement we all try to show in our paintings. Thank you for this winter scene tutorial. Greetings from Moldova, Lilia
My favorite part was watching you paint the snowy road with its frozen tracks. Having often been down roads like that in the winter, where, if not for the tracks, you hardly knew what was road and what was field. Your rendering was so convincing I could hear the crunch of the tires as a vehicle carefully made its way along to the carpark for the pub. 🙂
Hallelujah lolol This is so beautiful and your dry brush trees and branches look very real. I agee brush not pencil. I loved watching you paint this, can't wait to try. Thank you so much and Happy Holidays..
Thanks Paul really enjoyed your beautiful painting, learning loads. I really do appreciate your videos each week, will give it a go using the 3 colours. 😊❤
Wow. You taught me so much in a short time. I love the use of the 3 colors in order to hint at the warm to cool tones depending on the location in the landscape. Beautifully done! I’ll give it try, and give it another try over and over. Thank you Paul!
You should mention more often that your book for beginners is based around these same primaries!!! It's a great book that uses a limited palette to cover all the basics.
Thanks for another great tutorial Paul. That was a really good point about not worrying about the the snow initially looking too colourful, as it was amazing how lighter it appeared once the darker values were added to the painting.
There are many talented tutors in the I-net, but u are my favorite because u create nit only pictures, but the mood, the vibes. I feel so calm and happy at your tutorials!
That's just fabulous Paul. Can't wait to give it a try. Your students did a great job with it. Can't imagine how much fun it would be to have you teaching in person! But I'm not greedy. This tutorial is more than enough and I'm very grateful for it. Thanks so much Paul. Dearbhla
hi paul. brian from across the pond. thanks for another watercolor wednesday! i gave this one a go but on my version i broke up the foreground trees so that they did not mirror each other so much. keep up the good work! now i am back to painting christmas cards for my friends and family.
Exactly what I was looking for! Getting started with watercolors and your channel is excellent, looking forward to playing with your book for beginners. Cheers!
It's always a pleasure to watch your tutorials. You are one of my favorite teachers. I love how you explain what and why you are doing something (the part about warming up the color as you get closer to the sun; the array of shadows and how they fall, etc. etc.). It helps me in making decisions in my own paintings and solve some of the conundrums every painter encounters (how to make something appear misty; the illusion of details and so forth). Have a Happy New Year and I look forward to many more tutorials in the future.
Thank you Paul. Using the 3 primary colors was great. I'm in an intense(for me)drawing class so use your sketches as a reference. I'm getting more confident sketching and drawing. Stay well and thank you for giving encouragement.
Well that really was fun, I’m going to have a go at that for sure! It’s hard to relate to snow at this time of the year in Australia at around 33 degrees celcius but non the less, a snow scene is hard to beat and might make me feel a little cooler painting it. Great work Paul and thanks again!
Paul, you are an inspiration! This painting is amazing- I love the warm and cool tones and how you transition between them. Yes, it’s subtle but very effective. May I ask how you come up with ideas for your paintings? I know you have your inspirational series, but what about the other ideas?
Funny you mentioned one of your earlier paintings with the Snow Drop Inn! I randomly watched a video on RUclips last night about an avalanche that happened in Sussex early in the 20th century and I remembered that you live there. Did you name the inn in your painting after the real pub there? I learned that it is a famous pub, but I had never heard of it before last night! Thank you for this beautiful tutorial! I already had my 300lb Arches block out on the table "blankly" staring at me! Now I know what to paint! This one taught me so much! Love the base of the sun and how the scene gets cooler toward the edges! I didn't know to do that! That's probably what I needed to make my paintings look more real! And, those shadows! Yum!! Thank you so much!

Paul thank you so much for all these tutorials. I retired from teaching art last year and you have ignited a desire to get back into watercolours. I am surprisingly new to this medium preferring acrylic or digital in my working life. The tips, techniques and choice of materials is making my journey back so much easier. I still have a long way to go but at 63 if God spares me I live in hope to come close to your amazing talent. The maun thing is I am enjoying the journey. Tytytyty (Ivan)
Good afternoon ☕🫖🍩 dear Paul! I greet you, as always, on Wednesday in my favorite studio and I am getting ready to watch the video that you have prepared for us. I thank you in advance for your work and I like it 👍! Sorry that I wrote little, but I have a lot of interesting work for the holiday before Christmas and New Year. I wish you all the best, health and most importantly, that there is no war, but only peace, I pray for everyone! 🙏😌🖼️🎨🖌️🖍️❤️🌹

Your emoji laden comments brighten my day! ❤😊 Prayers for God’s protection over you and your family. Can’t wait to see what you’ve been painting. Much love! 😘
@@stampinturtles That's why I don't have a dog, although I would really like to have a four-legged friend... But when I imagine that early in the morning I have to get out of a warm bed with a soft down blanket and go out into the cold, rain, snow and wind, then for some reason my desire to have a dog immediately disappears. Lol! 🤣 I go for fresh bread for 3 days, and here I have to go outside all the time Lol! 🤣. And when I draw, no one and nothing around me should bother me, otherwise nothing will work out. 😆
Wow Paul, what a beautiful painting. I especially am bowled over by the darker values , how they helped in creating a brilliant sun. That I felt I needed sunglasses 😎, just brilliant.
