    I absolutely LOVE your method. It has helped me so much!! I am 45 years old and returning to college after 22 years with the intention of obtaining my BSN and unfortunately I am having to place the math placement test. I took it yesterday and got a 239 but must have a 250 and tomorrow is the second and last time I can take it and must score the 250. I felt completely hopeless until I started your videos, so thank you very much for giving an old lady :) some hope!!! Much Appreciated!!!!

    The program that this man provides really does work! I’m applying for an apprenticeship program that required me to score at least a 250 on the math accuplacer (QAS and AAF test). I had a passing score of 260 for the QAS but I had only scored a 237 on the AAF. After watching his RUclips videos on his accuplacer crash course I decided to purchase it since I had my retake the next day and was very stressed. I watched all 13 hours worth of his week program in one day and learned how to do mostly all the problems thanks to his great teaching skills. The next morning I took the AAF test again and scored a 272! A whole 35 point jump just by studying his videos for one night! By far was one of the best purchases I’ve made since it has saved me a TON of time and money. If you are serious and want to get an amazing score on your accuplacer then you NEED to use this course.

    I'm retaking the Arithmetic Accuplacer tomorrow. I had a decent amount of these questions on my first one. I had no idea on the Carol and restaurant question when doing it. Thank you for showing a new way of looking at these questions, because I tend to rush into the math and not look at the common sense factor. My last score was 263 and I literally need at 269 for my program! Pray for me!

    I am glad you’re teaching process of elimination and common sense. For some reason people make math so complicated when really it’s easy if you simply pay attention and practice. I graduated high school in 2010 and need to take the AAF test to test out of a MTH class and this helped to refresh my memory. I was worried at first but after watching your videos I’m laughing at myself for being so shook to revisit algebra. I forgot how simple it really is

Because I already solved the quantative reasoning practice test already. I also realized the practice test and the accuplacer test itself is different for me because I feel like the things I’ve learned (like the questions) isn’t really similar on the test. I heard the test gets harder too if you get a question correct :(( This is my last try and I don’t want to fail again 😔 especially when all my friends passed when I’m stuck with retaking the test….

My passing grade for my college is 263 and last time I got 262. I was devastated because I know I can be good at math. Today when I took my placement test, It was going to be my last try. I was hesitant on buying your course because I was thinking how much would it really help me. It definitely did 😊 I got a 275 on my quantitative reasoning and passed to the advance math. Wonderful video. I believe the answer for question 14 is D. There is no way 0.075 is bigger than 0.75 because when you look at the value of each number after the decimal point the value of the 7 is greater than the value of the zero in 0.075. If you make all numbers have the same amount of figures and line them up according to value they will look like this
    3/4 is equal to 75.000 / 100.000%
    0.75 equal to 00.750 / 100.000%
    0.075 equal to 00.075 / 100.000%
    Also note that 75 goes into a 100 1.3333 times
    0.75 goes into a 100 133.33 times
    0.075 goes into a 100 1333.33 times
    so there is no way 0.075 is bigger than 0.75. 0.075 is so small that it goes into a hundred 1333 times and 0.75 goes into a hundred only 133 times

      No problem! Look more closely at the question… They’re not asking for 60% of 30…

      Great question! The question says that 60% of some number is 30… so 60% of one of the answer choices equals 30… try testing the answer choices. Multiply each of the answer choices by .6, because 60% equals 60/100 which equals .6
      The right answer choice will give you 30 when you multiply by .6
      Try testing all the answer choices, but you should get 50!

    I’m confused. Wasnt question 14 supposed to be answer D? 0.75% is bigger than 0.075 no?

    • @MichaelToohey
      @MichaelToohey  Год назад

      Great question! No, .075 is bigger! Remember that percent means “out of 100”, just like 50% means 50/100 or 1/2.
      Therefore .75% means .75/100
      If you punch that into your calculator, you get .0075
      Less than .075!
      Make sense?

  • @alessandrarunciman5086

    Is that how the entire exam is?

    • @MichaelToohey
      @MichaelToohey  Год назад

      Oh, no! Just some of the questions from the arithmetic section of the test in that video… I increase the level of difficulty as you work your way through the course… Day 5 is devoted to the Quantitative Reasoning, Algebra, and Statistics section, and Day 6 is devoted to the Advanced Algebra and functions section… but don’t dismiss the arithmetic: You have to have that down to answer the higher level-of-difficulty questions, and you will see some like that on the arithmetic section of the test!

    Question 4. Can we please revisit that? How is .75% less than .075???? There’s just no way right? Everything I know abt math I do not know suddenly. Please help.

    • @MichaelToohey
      @MichaelToohey  Год назад

      I’ll be happy to help! Look closely at the question: it doesn’t say .75, it says .75%
      Percent means “out of 100” or divided by 100… That’s why 50% equals 1/2 or .5 (all the same) because 50% means 50/100…
      Now think about .75%…. That means .75/100, which is less than 1%! Go ahead and punch it into your calculator: .75/100 equals .0075, which is why .75% is less than .075
      Make sense?

    .75 is 3/4 , and .0075 is seven cents?

    • @MichaelToohey
      @MichaelToohey  2 года назад

      .75 is 3/4, yes! But .0075 is .75%
      Percent means “out of (or divided by) 100”… just like 50% is .5, or 10% is .1, or 1% is .01, so .75% is .0075… does that make sense?

  • @ItsBreezusChrist

    Am I dumb? Because I still can't wrap my head around #1. I can only see 75% as .75

    • @MichaelToohey
      @MichaelToohey  2 года назад

      No, you’re right! 75% does equal .75 because 75% means 75/100, which equals .75
      The tricky part is realizing .75% equals .0075, because .75% means .75/100

    On question 17 I still don’t understand

    • @MichaelToohey
      @MichaelToohey  Год назад

      The question is “60% of which answer choice is 30?” You need to realize that 60% equals .60 (60 percent means 60/100, which equals .60)… so to find 60% of a value, just multiplying the value by .60! So multiply all the answer choices by .60 to see which one gives you 30…
