My honest experience I just took the accuplacer and got a 273. Ive been out of school for more years than most people taking the test. The strategies WORK!!! They really do. I had taken several practice tests, I tried to remember the formulas but then I came here and it just "made sense" suddenly! I wish all teachers were so nice and really try to break it down in sensible terms! Thank you so much i feel like I now have a new mindset towards Math. Honestly.

Is purchasing your crash course worth it in 2024? I NEED to get a good score to place into statistics. I last took algebra 2 with trig 3 years ago when i was a junior in high school.

Thank you for these! I’ve been out of school for 6-7 years. I take my first accuplacer tomorrow and I’m pretty good at everything but math. I have to score at least a 243 to be able to apply for nursing and I can only test 3 times every 3 years.

Good question! You can’t bring it in to the test, if that’s what you’re asking… but if there are certain formulas you think would be helpful to have written down, you can memorize them and write them before you start the test!

I’m the type of person who divides multipley then add and mess with the number it’s my fav game 😖 and that’s why I took the tsi over 25 times the past months n I still struggle to pass it
I totally understand! That’s why it’s so important to focus the question, and understand what it’s asking you… if you don’t understand the question, you can slap numbers together all day long but you’re still unlikely to choose the right answer… but if you can take your time to understand the question first, sometimes the right answer is just obvious logically, or you can find a way to plug in values to start getting rid of the obviously incorrect answers… watch my videos, practice, and be patient with yourself! Learning is a journey (I’m still in the middle of that journey) and it takes time, my friend. But don’t give up! You’ve got this!
the cups of water one was too confusing. otherwise good. but you made it more complicated than it needed to be for the water example
Yeah, especially if you know how ratios/proportions work… but believe me, a lot of students don’t…

This is for Next Generation Accuplacer, Yes.
They don’t even offer the old Accuplacer as far as I know... there is a slight difference in format, scoring, and question types... but you don’t need to worry about that...

is this the same as the TSIA2. I have to take the math version and looking for some videos to help me.
The TSI is very similar: it’s really just the Texas version of the Accuplacer. There are a few differences, however. I offer both a TSI and an Accuplacer video course, and you would be better served by taking the TSI course...

Sometimes you will have access to an on-screen calculator, sometimes not. Just be aware that 20/3 is super close to 21/3, which is 7. So 20/3 is just a little less than 7....

Can people resell or give away the course once they are done? I can’t afford to buy the course but I take my ACCUPLACER tomorrow and I see people saying how this helps but I see some comments saying the questions are harder! 😫😫

i have a problem with number 11. i think is A not C

Notice that you’re more than doubling the amount of flour in the second recipe (8 is more than double 3, and 8 is almost three times as much as 3)… so you have to increase the water proportionally… Answer choice A (2 and 2/3) just isn’t enough water for the recipe… make sense?

No problem! You could set up a proportion, but it would look like this:
2/3 = x/8
Multiply both sides by 8 and you get 16/3 or 5 and 1/3.
That’s why I love just drawing a picture and using common sense - there’s no math operation to mess up!

Thanks for reaching out! I start with the easiest questions, abs slowly work up the level of difficulty in the course… Day 6 (available in the full version of the course) is devoted exclusively to the Advanced Algebra and Functions section of the test…

so annoying when he says " does this make sense", after every other sentence. His energy is so enthusiastic, dramatic and anime'd, and here I am watching his accuplacer videos more than 5 times because the way he explains and breaks down the questions are so clear and easy to comprehend
Sorry I repeat that phrase so much, but it’s the only way I know whether or not a student understands the concepts I’m teaching... if there is any hesitation to their response, I know there is a concept that is unclear that I need to explain better... and I’d it is unclear to the student I’m working with, it’s probably unclear to students watching the videos as well...

Hold on I’m confused for question 10 if L *W*H=V and the H=6 and L=5/W=5
if you multiply it all together I get 150 not 30🧐
You’re right: L*W*H = V, which in this case the Volume (V) is 30... the question states that clearly. It has to be 30.
So if the height is 6, the question is what is the L*W value... the answer is 5.
Notice that doesn’t mean that both L AND W are each 5... in that case L*W would be 25, not 5.... and you would get a volume of 150 instead of 30...
Does that make sense?
