The Fed will probably do a surprise interest rate cut next week and JP is trying to slow down the monster jump that will happen.
That's my thinking, too. If they can drive the price of gold and silver down ten or twelve percent, and then we do get a surprise July rate cut, the metals only return to recent levels; otherwise, gold would break $2500 and silver would zoom to $35 without the preemptive smack down.

India just cut their tax rates on gold and silver dramatically. Demand will increase there. Especially with lower prices. The Indians and Chinese people are price conscious buyers. They buy low. Supply of physical is limited. Silver's days below $30 going forward will be few. And all the fundamentals are urging gold higher.

the overnight news was that india will import more silver and gold by dropping import duty, positive news , so they need to crash the market to pull outs shorts so eventually the price goes up.
I don’t think silver will be allowed to run and here’s why. because if they let it rise like it naturally wants to, physical silver could be used as an inflation hedge for the middle class. Keeping it low while the price of everything else around you rises, basically takes away the middle class’s life raft.
They could careless about the lower class people.

I sold off a large chunk of my silver to buy 3kg of gold. You might want to do the same when silver prices rises again. Buy a little gold. Silver is way too volatile for my liking. I still have 700 oz of silver just in case I need it for bartering purposes.

I saw this crash coming and sold my silver mining stocks, a couple of days ago. There are several reasons why it's crashing, none of them involving J.P. Morgan. A. China is in a depression and has stopped buying copper, silver and gold. So, there is no longer any industrial demand for silver. They aren't building solar panels or EVs right now, for example. B. The rest of the world is in a recession now, so people are having to sell their gold and silver to pay their rent and electric bill. C. U.S. manufacting PMI dropped below 50 today, which signals a recession. D. The inverted yield curve is uninverting now, which always signals a recession. E. Silver and copper always crashnduring recessions (checknthe copper chart, as it led silver and told younthat silver was goijg to crash, in advance). I expect silver to drop to $22 or possibly even $19 in the coming days, weeks or months, because of all this.

You know, I don't care about corn or soybean prices, don't have either, but they fluctuate. I do own Silver, I still don't care about what it does day to day. Usually, I will buy a little more if it's going down, but in the long run, no one will really care. Silver is volatile, but it does fine in the long term.
Manipulation, just like politicians, late night congress bill passing. They do wrong when they think people are asleep cause they know they are guilty. Besides, to short it like that during normal trading hours, people would buy every little dip and wouldn't go a quarter as low.

I don't understand why if a market is open 23 hrs a day and the average American investor has only 8 hours of access to these markets, and we even have 'premarket activity', after the close action, etc. the SEC and all government 'regulatory agencies' are completely worthless to the average taxpayer.
I’m not all that into following markets, but I have noticed that the US market is usually the last one in a 24 hour period, running from 9-5 eastern. Then Shanghai until about 1am, then London until 9am eastern. I used to use the SD Bullion and Apmex charts and was confused by how the numbers changed. Then I found the Kitco 24 hour charts. I prefer them for their customizability.

Looks like a shake out. Retail traders with stop loss and trailing loss strategies get shaken out and over exuberant shorters get to exit rush of blood positions. Just a theory but India has historically been a big market for gold in the jewellery sector. With the fast rising gold price many buyers of Indian gold jewellery will be priced out of the market. There might be a trend to replace gold with silver in jewellery manufacture in India as monetary gold causes jewellery gold to become scarcer and more expensive.

It not late at night in Asia investors are selling of the paper derivatives and then using the money to buy the physical silver probably, there is a 24 hr plus delay in doing this It is the derivative price that determines the physical price as well hence the switch to get more physical for your money

The problem with precious metals stackers is that you don't know what is going wrong or right with precious metals market. It has been like that for years none of the stackers has found any evidence or way to expose them. Why aren't we seeing any of the executives from the mining companies trying to break the cycle? could they be a part of the problem? how much precious metals does the U.S defense department dump on the market through banks? Is the FED working with banks to keep precious metal prices down?

I think a serious liquidity event is on the horizon. Gold and silver were doing ok until the end when the stock market really started to dive. Under extreme liquidity events, gold and silver massively get sold to cover stock margin calls. Fortunately, after the initial sell off, gold and silver sharply recover. This can take a few months. Look at the yen, it has rallied significantly. This all screams a massive liquidity event is on the horizon. Let's see if that continues or recovers.
"they" always do this overnight when others cant participate much and want to shake people out of their metals and or derivative positions . Once capitulation sets in prices might skyrocket.
