Sounds clips and review of a 3.5 in Varex Muffler by X-Force on my 2013 F150 3.5L Ecoboost. This is a perfect exhaust solution for someone who wants the best of both worlds.

Thanks for the vid, very good sound samples. I traded my 2014 SHO for a 2013 300S 5.7 because I hated how the 3.5 sounds and wanted a V8 even tho it was a "downgrade" (my SHO had more fancy features and was WAY faster with the 440 tune from Livernois), but now Im deciding on what to get next and a Flex with the 3.5TT is on my maybe list, but only if I can find a way to make it sound nice. I generally really hate how every V6 sounds, which is a shame since there are some real nice V6s. I have a 3 inch Varex setup on my 300 and really like it so I was hoping to find some clips of a 3.5 with their system. Looks like it works just as well on the 3.5 as on my 5.7. Valves open its definitely "annoy the neighbors on a winter cold-start" and closed its at least as quiet as stock, maybe more, and thats with my additional modifications (3 inch midpipes, high-flow cats, full 3 inch SS Varex catback, true-dual setup since I deleted the Varex X-pipe). I think Ill have to hear a Varex'd 3.5 IRL to decide if its a sound I would enjoy listening to as my daily driver or not, but your video was still very helpful, thanks for taking the time to record and post it.

no complaints so far. it is much nicer to live with than my previous set up because i can make it quiet. if you play with it, you can get it to a certain spot where the exhaust sounds kind of farty. but i think that is just the nature of a valve with infinite adjustment. if its at the spot where it sounds weird, i just click it once up or down and it goes away. no big deal.

@@NSQGarage Oh shit! It's you! Haha I didn't realize it. Man, the 3.5 EB community is tiny. Thanks for the info! Also, did you do a resonator delete as well?

@@xxdemonshitxx well the truck started with a 3.5 inch aero exhaust that deleted the resonator and only used a pass through muffler. Then I went to a Flowmaster Flow FX muffler and now to this. So yes, the resonator is gone haha
