    Ive had the varrex axle back in my 18 for almost two years, love it, I have long tubes on the car and I swear it’s quiter than stock fully closed but it is quite loud open with amazing tone not the corsa earth shattering but clean tone. great for neighbors and highway

    why MBRP stop selling LT header for 2018 GT?

  • @Rekkless

    Why someone would but this largely has to do with where you live and how much the police enforce exhaust system laws. XForce are actually an Australian brand and their Varex Systems have been around for about 13 years or so. It largely has to do with, although aftermarket exhaust systems in Australia are legal, no exhaust can be louder than 90db measured at a 45 degree angle from 30cm away from the tip.
    This makes 90% of aftermarket exhaust systems illegal in Australia, really only Magnflow systems meet these volume levels.
    So XForce made the first volume controlled mufflers I believe anywhere, I had at least never seen them before they arrived on the scene. Where people could quieten their car when around the Australian Police and enjoy their car when the coast was clear.
    A system like this probably isn't something you'd need or want living somewhere the police don't really care about your exhaust like Texas or Florida. But somewhere like California, New York or Virginia this could possibly save you a big ticket, especially if you have cat-less headers or multiple other not so legal modifications that won't pass any kind of inspection.
    An exhaust system like this is as much of a preventative police ticket measure not unlike a radar detector as much as it is comfort and convenience.

      I live in Florida. I leave early in the morning and I get along with my neighbors, so this would work great in not waking them up. Set it closed for a certain distance, so once I'm far enough away, it just opens up automatically.

    I use these mufflers but their axel back system only with an H pipe. It hits over 130dB easy, with the vales fully open, proof on my channel. These mufflers are no joke. They're quieter than a fully stock system from the factory with the vales closed, happy neighbors!

    Just putting this out there, I kinda prefer quiet exhaust. The sound of power isn't volume, weed wackers are loud AF too. If you got meat under the hood it's gonna come out from a refined exhaust just fine.

    • @thegrant1676
      @thegrant1676 Год назад

      You can get one for a 2017 gt i have had one on my car for 2 years but with the problems i have had with it i wouldnt recommended it, got a full system, one header had a small hole in it where the 4 pipes meat at the colector, other side caught on the steering joint untill i lifted the engine up a small bit to give it clearance, the blacket to hold the back box up needed a extra bit welded on to it so it was strong enough to hold it up off the rear diffuser and not the valves have stoped working with the remote ( havent got round to looking at the problem with them yet ) but it sounds good

    • @jaybem5
      @jaybem5 Год назад +1

      Will it not work with a 2017 if you just change the rear diffuser to suit a quad exhaust ? Has to be a premium version though.
