You have done a great job showcasing the city centre.. The little streets are pretty cool and unique… Collins st combined with the two little streets on either side (Little Collins and Flinders Lane) contain much of Melbourne’s best architecture along with many of the best cafes, bars, restaurants and boutiques. it’s worth any visitor walking the full length of each of these streets.
Gee I haven’t been into the city for ages. I used to work in the city, in an office, loved it. As a child in the 1960’s dad used to take us to Vic Market to get fresh veggies every Saturday. Happy memories. I think I’ve been in all those streets and many of beautiful old buildings. Lovely memories of my childhood, working days and going into Melb city as a teenager to a movie or live show. Thanks for the memorable tour. Hope you both enjoyed yourself. 😊
You are most welcome. Things must have changed quite a bit? We loved visiting Melbourne...and I hope we can return in the not too distant future. I take it you don't return to often?
@@RenataPereiraTV oh yes some things have changed since my ‘younger’ days lol. My daughter took me into the city for my birthday a few years ago. We a a beautiful time together. Wages and prices are high here, so we don’t tip. My husband is from Toronto Canada and when he first came here he was impressed by getting 4 weeks vacation leave a year straight up, plus long service leave originally designed so the Brits could go back home by ship every decade or so. Loving your presentation, not only your knowledge but your upbeat attitude. Good onya!
also in China they don't tip so the Chinese here don't expect it either. I think tipping should just be for when someone goes out of their way to help you rather than just doing their job.

The Eureka stockade is a pivotal moment to Australia's social and political landscape. Melbourne was a beneficiary to Australia's gold rush period as exemplified by much of the grand architecture but gold was not dug up in Melbourne city proper but in townships like Bendigo and Ballarat. Melbourne is also the spiritual capital of Australia , it was the original capital of Australia and where Federation was formed.

Hi Renata, I'm from Melbourne and loved watching your videos. I love how natural and honest you both are. A slight corrction regarding Ned Kelly as I belive you stated he was the first person hanged at the old Melbourne gaol? He actually was the 101st person hanged at the gaol, and yes he was a criminal. He was a horse thief and robbed people before he eventually murdered 3 police officers when they were sent to arrest him. Keep up the good work

Hello Renata! Did you ever go to Vietnam? My cousin moved to Vietnam then married a Vietnamese woman. Their food is unbelievably good. I just ran into your channel. I'll check out your other videos. Have a blessed day!
Lovely video Renata. We were in Melbourne last week - I say in, it was 3 hours at the Airport, so thanks for videoing all the bits we missed! Looking forward to the World Cup - but we don't get any games in Christchurch - we do have Japan and Costa Rica (I think) staying in their training bases here though.
HAHA, you are most welcome. BUT, but but you missed a fun city? And why no Christchurch...that seemed like a missed opportunity...only 1 city in the South Island? I hope Australia and New Zealand much success with these games...will be a lot of fun.
@@RenataPereiraTV Renata, our 2011 earthquake wreaked our main stadium, and the new one won't be ready for a few more years. Binondo, Manila's Chinatown, is the oldest of its kind in the world. More than 400 years since it was established, the district still continues to thrive. Derived from the Filipino word binundok (“mountainous”), Binondo was established in 1594 as a permanent settlement for Chinese-Catholic immigrants.

In Puerto Rico they have these houses like like a cave with steps and people live inside the dirt inside under the ground. My mom had told me that she lived in one of those houses under the ground when she was young when she was like 13 years old music, can you go to Puerto Rico and find those houses under the ground they still exist people live under their most of those houses are at the end of Puerto Rico. There is a city called Olney ghetto. If you say it in Spanish is not ghetto, is more like some kind of an ant, but say it in Spanish you will find those houses in that area under the ground they gotta have a history is very amazing. I want to know was that the houses first made for the slaves or were they may because of the hurricanes wouldn’t take the people I want to know I hope you find it interesting to find out.

My gord! You've seen much more of Melbourne than I have, and I've lived here for nearly 50 of your Earth years 😄

@RenataPereiraTV Well, I do have some rainbow lorikeets nesting in a tree in my yard, so I guess that's something 😄

Keep up the good work
Hi Stephen! Wow! What I mentioned in the video I learned with our guide, so thanks for the info and the update
The hook turns - cars turning right wait on the left so that they don’t block the trams travelling straight 😊
I hear ya. Unique to Australia? I never seen that before.
Your videos are charming - thank you! 😊
Thank you very much! Glad you like them!
Wow, that was the best video of Melbourne that I've seen. I hope you enjoyed my town. I love your chemistry and have subbed. Thanks.
Thank you!!! We really appreciate your kind words and support!!!
Great work, Canberra is the capital of Australia Sydney and Melbourne both wanted to be the capital so they built a whole new city in the middle
Thank you!!!
Melbourne was the capital of australia from 1901 to 1927

Hello Renata! Did you ever go to Vietnam? My cousin moved to Vietnam then married a Vietnamese woman. Their food is unbelievably good. I just ran into your channel. I'll check out your other videos. Have a blessed day!
Hello Rob Breegs. No, I do wish to visit Vietnam. Love all the SE Asian food...unique and so much variety. Thanks for watching
I think Dunedin in the far south will be getting some games as they have a covered stadium. We didn't do Melbourne as we were in Tasmania instead - well worth a visit by the way!
Thank you for sharing. Sad to hear damage was done. Gordon has mentioned Tasmania...that will give us a reason to return to Australia. Thanks for sharing.
Love your informative channel and humor
Thank you...we really appreciate!
Everything looks really good indeed.
Great modern city...thanks for watching
It certainly does! South Melbourne market has a fantastic variety of food, fresh produce, and artisanal products.
Renata:I am hoping new videos are coming up this weekend in June of 2023 after two weeks ago none was released❤❤❤I wish you guys safe journeys always in peace for more new videos to be releases from Melbourne, Australia in June of 2023❤❤❤
One coming up!
My aunt lives in one of those Victorian townhouses. There's not many of them left unfortunately, there use to be more near Southern cross station but were pulled down to build new highrises. My aunt's house use to be my great aunt's and most of them are listed! 😍
Thank you for sharing. Listed means they can never be torn down? Very cool!
@@RenataPereiraTV Yep, exactly! It's just unfortunate that they only brought that rule in the mid 80's I think and most of them had been pulled down by then, it's such a shame.....
Melbourne é ESPETACULAR!!!!!😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
asyiknya di melbourne selalu. have a great time

So Beautiful #. Thanks for share. What camera and microphone you using for this video please?
Thank you. We use a combination of cameras Canon R, G7, Hero 10 and our cell phones. Tascam DL10 for audio..a must

Melbourne has overtaken Sydney as the most populous city in Australia, it was all over the news in Australia around April last year.
Yes, we heard. I bet Brisbane will get more and more attention, seems its set for the big time. All great cities.

Thank you for your suggestion. Looking at PR for the near future.
weather in Melbourne compared to rest of Aus, a little cooler, a little cloudier, a lot less rain, no humidity, no heat waves, generally mild.
Seems like perfectly moderate all year round?
I live in Melbourne suburbs and I can tell you, Aussie towns and cities never get snowfall. Since 2000 Melbourne has recorded 5 days of a maximum of 50degreesCelcius.
Oh my, 50C is extreme.
@@letsseeif No, we have never had over 50C in Melbourne, the hottest was 46.4 °C (115.5 °F), 7 February 2009, look it up.

Computer keyboard and internet connection! 😆
Seriously, Wikitravel and city/state/country tourism websites are great places to start. Then we dig into the specifics of attractions there website and Wikipedia. Its a lot of work but enjoyable. then we use google maps to tag locations we want to see and then arrange the tags on proximity.
Thank you for watching
