5:00 Same thing happened to me. If you follow ExtremeRate's tutorial video that glossy black cover piece isn't already attached to the top shell but when you buy from them it will be attached, and its held in tightly with clips so you would never think to remove it beforehand. They also make no mention of you needing to do this. This leads to people snapping the shell together, then realizing they made a mistake and having to struggle to pry it back open to remove it. Almost thought I was gonna break the thing. 😮💨
@@just_kyashi Silly me got it all working then worked out i forgot the dust cover. I guess it wont make much difference as i never remove the switch was from the dock.
This video is how I finally found out whether this mod was compatible with the Satisfye grip. I just gotta ask: Does long time use of this mod leave any markings on the back of the console? I have a TOTK Switch and it would suck having it damaged from the back given how it seemingly only offers pads to support the bottom (and by this I mean the ones at 5:26). I hope it’s not the case but I’d rather be sure. Thanks in advance!
So even if the Dock Shell Cover is for Nintendo Switch OLED, we can use the parts from the older Switch model Dock for this dock shell cover? (Yes I know you made a tutorial but I thought I would double check with this question)
@@just_kyashi awesome. Long term wise did you have any problems undocking and docking the switch or any charging problems? Want to buy but worried about those factors.

You have so few views for how well this is made and presented!
Thank you so much 🥹
Great video! I will say, though, the Genki covert dock is a hard recommend. Never had any issues with power delivery etc.
Thanks so much! Yeah the Genki option seems like the only other one that i would trust! Might have to check it out at some point
Such an enjoyable video I've seen in 2024 so far. Love it!

I also have the TOTK switch and have not experienced any issues from the console being scratched :)
@@just_kyashi That’s so good to hear. Thank you so much for your help, will order one right away!!
Meanwhile me casually fitting the whole switch, cables, dock and 2 games in a single pant pocket.
I wish my pockets were that big xD
I've used Genki Cover Dock since I backed it on Kickstarter and haven't had any problem with it.
awesome! I've only heard good things so I believe it :)
wow, thanks for the info, I have the same issue, I mean, I am not a musician, neither travel a lot, :) but the dock takes a los of space.
It certainly does! Was thrilled to find a way to make it smaller. Thanks for watching :)
It isn't that much space. it is fine to me. Then again, I hate minimalism, soooo.....
I love the size of the original dock for at home! it just won't always fit in my bag haha@@wolfetteplays8894
Aye true, good point!@@just_kyashi

Yep you can use either!

@@tonyhtran Nope! Still using it every day and no issues :) as long as it's built correctly it should all be fine as it's the OEM parts!
This is neat
thanks so much!
@@just_kyashi no problem!
