I was just thinking how easy it would be to turn a scene like this into something comical (given how the media treated this kind of scenes in the past). But it's not comical at all. It's beautiful, healing, and gentle. Unapologetically so. Full or acceptance and celebration. THIS is how it should be done 🤍

And that the crew (whom he tormented and didn't even make amends with) loved Ed, instead of acknowledging they love Izzy because Izzy was the one who put in the effort to build a relationship with them. They brought back all of his self hatred and suicidal tendencies too. There's no funeral and they not only bury him on land but in Ed and Stede's front yard after ripping off his prosthetic to mark the grave. Somehow Jenkins maintains this was a "kind" ending.

And maybe pay a visit back to the inn to visit, he brings the crew to help them rebuild the inn, something like that. Ugh.
i would have loved if the season ended here. Ed and Stede basically finally showing their love to each other, the crew getting along with each other in a celebration, Izzy in his queer healing and earning the respect and love from the crew, freeing himself. Why did the season have to end like THAT instead?

he was such an asshole in season 1, and his development in season 2 was such a welcome surprise. I love a lot about this episode-- the look on Izzy's face in the mirror with Wee John, going shopping for party stuff, everyone's fancy party threads, THIS SONG, ugh it's all so good. I love that Izzy got to have this moment, like it wasn't just a one-off when the crew protected him from Ed, they really do love him. I'm sure it wasn't just Ed who thought he was unlovable, and look, they were both wrong :)

Same. I did not think I could love Con more, then I watched this episode. Totally smitten...
he was such an asshole in season 1, and his development in season 2 was such a welcome surprise. I love a lot about this episode-- the look on Izzy's face in the mirror with Wee John, going shopping for party stuff, everyone's fancy party threads, THIS SONG, ugh it's all so good. I love that Izzy got to have this moment, like it wasn't just a one-off when the crew protected him from Ed, they really do love him. I'm sure it wasn't just Ed who thought he was unlovable, and look, they were both wrong :)
I'm glad i'm not the only person watching this obsessively, such a great moment

@@TDArulesclub4 oh i absolutely agree. the poor writing of izzy’s death and honestly the entire final episode completely soured the entire show for me. i really don’t understand why the writers decided to kill him off, it felt like such a spit in the face
I love this scene , because it's just a bunch of friends and lovers who are happy and safe with each others, and celebrating it in their own place. I hope one day you experience the same thing, because it's the best feeling in the world...
