Easy way to fix remove the resin at end game its uncomfortable plus there isn't farming if you are limited to do it because of dumb game design I don't understand why players support the resin bs I love the game but at ar 40 the game for me died 160 resin finish in 20 minutes or less there isn't even a reason to have new characters smh
Zhongli is worth leveling to 90 in my opinion, cause his OP shield carries you as hard as the damage from a strong DPS like Diluc or Xiao in certain occasions, but Barbara? Surely not.

I’ve always thought that increasing resin cap with AR rank by 5 every time and then unlocking an overflow at world lv7 should be a thing. It benefits f2p and whales because it rewards time invested so it would be a fair trade.
The worst part is when you have to choose to spent daily resin for domains or leyline blossoms, y'all ar 45 below might have a couple millions of mora, but above that and if you're not a whaler, we're running really short of it
I've seen a few people say this but never run into it myself despite being AR52. Then again, I do the battlepass every month so I don't know if that might be cushioning me from it :P That said, if you're hurting for money, do your 3 weekly bounties, it's free mora :D
My diluc is gladiator set with physical damage bonus cup lol Shit is whack but he does okay. At AR53 currently and will hopefully one day farm him a good fire artifact set.
@@AnaSantos-mx4rj She can get crazy amount of attack damage bonus with her E if you get a lot of BASE attack and a lot of Max HP, since her maximum attack bonus is 400% of her base attack. She's a pretty good DPS, but like Chongyun, she relies on her E to deal damage, her E duration is 9s and CD 16s, that's 7s without her S she's selfish in her E mode too. So if you get her, make sure to have a good shielder, and have a backup DPS that could deal some damage while her E is down.
@@AnaSantos-mx4rj what everyone else + the fact that hu tao is known for having pretty bad health, she drains it herself pretty quickly, and so if you take damage with your low max hp hu tao, she can die really fast
Im not gonna lie, there's not really much to do when you've caught up to the story. I'm assuming Mihoyo's intent is for people to just log on a couple a week to stretch out the progression and let's be honest, it's probably what the vast majority of the players do. So when people (cough like myself cough) get hooked, eventually you just run out of content. I really think they should take a page out of Warframe's book. There's literally always something to grind for in that game. There are a ton of activities to do and loot to collect. Just more loot and a more interactive world would change so much.
Well yeah, like most games, endgame progression is slower. I think what mihoio didn't expect is for many players to be this hooked to the game, so when they saw the game take of as much as it did, they were like "Well shit, we need to get these people some content" and thats why they put out things like the lantern Rite, The kurious Kamara event, The event where stars were falling from the sky, and that last one is very important bc we got a detail that basicaly said "We're going for real" an that is the addition of the eight Fatui Harbringer aka Scaramouche, this is bc Mihoio is investing in the story and it seems to be they're here until all the story is concluded (when traveler finds his/her sibling)
@@derpi3438okay so for example, warframe has mods, which are basically that game's artifacts, only way, way WAY more in-depth. Theres so fucking many of them and they all combine to create new elemental reactions and damage varieties. Obviously i dont think Mihoyo should copy warframe 1:1 but I'm just pointing out that an overhaul of artifacts could breathe literal countless hours of playtime into the game.
@@derpi3438 i think the top 2 things they could offer is 1: shorter resin cool down. 2: more open would quests. I feel like people would be much more excited about running around the world for a couple hours, doing little quests and earning some companionship points and mora.
I agree about the trading system. But with limitations as only allowing an item to be traded a limited amount of times. (There are games that have that system) or that the trade can only move forward if the item is being exchanged for another item of the same level and rarity. That would be cool and balanced.
Mihoyo is really scamming people with these new characters, DOUBLE resin to Ascend? Whata hell is that? I dont understand how everyone that has Xiao is not super pissed about this, i surely would.
@@saymyname2618 oh don’t worry I was annoyed by it and I’m sure most who have Xiao are but what can you do. Also with the new conversion thing you technically don’t have to farm two bosses just transmute whatever the geovishap boss drops to anemo crystals.
TIP SUMMARY: 1. Choose two (Main DPS) characters and focus on them. 2. Before AR 45, do this: Max their level until 70 or 80. 3. Next, get great artifacts for them. 4. Finally, focus on leveling up their talents. (Ex: Diluc, Ganyu, etc) After you did this, then: do the same thing for your support (Ex: Zhongli, etc)
That's exactly my mindset. It's so depressing to do artifact farming. Also, it's sometimes faster to spend 160 resin to beat 4 bosses than to do the equivalent amount of domains
I am AR 45, still doing boss, talent, weapon, levels, Ascension... I am gonna start the artifact domain farm when i am done with all of that. And when you need to do the final level of Ascension, the farm you have to do for 6 gold gems is really long and at AR 55 (when i am gonna actually start) i am gonna get tons of 5 stars, in the mean time i can still get some good 5 stars if luck is on my side (obv i am not gonna do the Ascension quest until i complete all this things, the glad set and the other set with the gold gems are the last things i am gonna do)
Artifact farming isn’t as bad as you’re making it, it can be fun sometimes when you get good ones and if you get bad ones then so what lol. Artifact farming also has progress just slower progress which yields to higher rewards though. Weapon and talent levels don’t matter nearly as much as godly artifacts. Of course they still contribute a lot but having good artifacts contributes a lot more than the other two.
Unless they make some serious RNG or quality of life changes with resin and/or the gatcha system...this game is going to be awful for veteran players who are already AR 50+
I honestly think that the amount of resin that someone can have at any one time along with the regeneration rate of resin should increase along with AR. It would make the game a bit faster in the end game.
I mean yesterday I got diluc and decided to go artifact farming I kid u not for around 700 resin I got 2 good artifacts which was a cup with atk and crit rate sub stat and a feather with atk, and both crit substats so yh rng is awfull
Perhaps they are planning the next expansion to include some quality of life reworks & veteran worthy content for everyone who has been able to grind & reach that point so far. I’m super new still lol
Could you make a step by step guide by AR? As in AR 1-10 focus this, AR 10-20 focus on this, etc. I would love a guide to have some direction, plus I have a friend who just started looking for that advice.
AR 1-30 play the game they way you want, artifacts and a main dps don't matter. Figure what characters u wanna use long term. AR 30-45 finish all the missions and start getting materials to really bump the characters you want to lvl 70-80 AR45+ grind for artifacts with great stats. Max out weapons and so on for your spiral abyss teams and the characters you really want to use. AR50 same as 45 but now use your fragile resin to grind for the best artifacts and so on. Honestly this is exactly how I have done it and I'm not entirely f2p but I've only bought Battle pass and welkin stone pass and my account is probably about as good as you can get as f2p. I have tons of good characters and artifacts. now I'm just perfecting my artifacts
Yeah, cause the artifacts with HP have like 2× or 4× higher chance to drop compared to others (people on reddit made a simulatator to discover), thats a very big advantage indeed.

It will make you hard to grind material when you start to Ascend your AR25, bcause you will go straight to a higher AR and World level that make your enemy Level is more high and hard to kill with a character below 60 or 70 level Sorry for my bad english btw i already reach AR40, I've playing only for 2-3 weeks
Saving you 10 minutes: only hardcore farm artifacts after AR 45, only hardcore farm bosses after AR 55. on a side note: in order to get to AR55, you need 6 months of farming, so yeah

Yea but you think they gonna add chapters 2-7 anytime soon? Endgame is literally AR55 because there is a soft lock on AR after that. Drops don't get any better and we already got everything lmao

Out of curiosity are you still playing and still using traveler? IMO you have to learn to be a better player if you’re using the weaker characters. I, being a lesser payer, look for stronger characters lol

@@Ire_Naru they are correct! if you're not within 20 levels of a mob that should be liftable (smaller mobs and normal sized humans) then you can't lift them. sucrose's E/Q knocks them up rather than lifting mobs so it's different. i have jean and had to level her to 80 to pick up the lvl 100 mobs in abyss floor 12 with her hold E. when i didn't level her, they would still get sucked into her E but i couldn't yeet them into the air. anemo traveler's Q also gets affected. you just drag mobs across the ground but they don't flail around. not sure about venti's Q since i don't have him :(
i mean your not getting to much more xp for spending money it does add up but most people just spend money on wishes, doesnt really help them level faster
@@dragon5776 it's true. But honestly now that I am at ar 53 and have so many charachters I honestly don't see the point anymore in getting many 5* stars cause honestly you can't play them all. I mean. I'm f2p so Id never focus on full constelations for 5 stars thats for sure. But if you have a favourite, and hold your primos you'll get it :)) but it is a hard thing to hold them not gonna lie. Temptation is everywhere.

The real victory is with Mihoyo. F2P tadpoles, minnows, mackerels, dolphins, orcas, whales and krakens don’t really win. Mihoyo will always dangle something delicious in front of us and grabbing it will be a challenge.
this game would be way better if resin worked differently. like, either not have it at all, or make it refill faster and have a higher cap, and probably also grinding or quests to enhance your resin abilities (to increase caps and refill rate or just grinding to get more resin). like i could literally play the game forever if resin wasn’t an issue
game needs more endgame content :( spiral abyss is the only thing and it like done in 1 day at most. artefact grind is capped to resin so no point in long term.
To be fair, the game isn't that close to ending thou. I wouldnt be surprised if they added another elemental boss for upcoming new characters like what they did with xiaos ascension mats.
You will never know, they mght make another way to make your character gets stronger too. Most probably by Ascending, Augmenting weapons like stats stones, or refining character Max stats (Augmenting weapons or stats will be really cool)

i seriously am a little scared when more adventure ranks are added. the game is going to get more and more grindy, and it will NOT be fun edit: dear all replies saying the game needs the grind, yes, there needs to be content to do, but that content should be *fun* if the game isnt fun, people are less inclined to spend money on the gacha, which is what mihoyo really cares about
Why? Would you rather just instantly get everything maxed and then have no reason to play? I don't understand why people complain about the grind when it's pretty much the only reason to play other than the occasional new character and a new region/quests every couple months.
That’s the point man. It needs to be grindy so the player base sticks around to play the god damn game. If it’s not grindy, super short, and you can do things super fast, people will just max everything and then quit the game.

It’s crazy how RNG makes everyone’s experience different. I have tons of gladiator and wanders, and some with cracked stats. Though my rolls on domains are so bad. I’m about to just stick most of my characters with boss artifacts just bc the substats are just that much better.
I've been screaming to have for an update to do this for WEEKS! Sub-Stats on Artifacts are Super Make or Break for DPS or Team Synergy. Like My DPS's Artifacts are already at lvl 20 with desired Main-Stats. So when I do their domain to try and get the same Main-stats with better Sub-stats but end up with nothing; it just feels like my day was wasted and I made ZERO progress in the game!
This is super good advice! I didn’t know the the bosses actually have a guarantee gold at 55, so I’ll wait for farming for the last ascension until then!
My tip Get your 2 main dmgs up to ascension 90 Get your other 6 remaining spiral abyss chars to 60 or 70 ascension if u think their lvl 70 talent is useful to you Grind their talents and weapon materials earlier Grind their artifacts at AR 45 Level them up once you reach AR 55 But the best tip of all, this is a single-player adventure game. Don't think too much into it and just have fun doing whatever u want to do

Has anyone experienced the dragonspine disappearing map glitch, like the mountains textures just went *POOF*. From the inside i can walk anywhere but from the outside i can still see the mountain
FINALLY someone finally talked about this. Never saw the point of grinding for the last ascension at ar50-55, so I just kept going ham on artifacts from 45-52. At ar50, my diluc and keqing started to outdamage higher ar peeps in coop, even those with 5 star weaps sometimes(mine only rocks r1 serpent spine and black sword respectively). Really didnt expect to outdmg a wolf's gravestone since that's my dream weap to have, but it just showed that my crits were way better that that guy's(wgs is still way better obviously). Never started grinding for gemstones but when 1.3 came, the craftable converter thing suddenly made it possible to make at least 12 gemstones from the mats that I had(still have a lot to convert if needed) so i started farming world bosses. First 2 regisvine boss runs gave me 2 straight gemstones-so I think it's kinda safe to do the last character ascension grind at ar50-55 due to the benefits that came with 1.3(I think drop rate got better idk but 2 straight gemstones wtf). Just keep on prioritizing artifacts I guess, since doing that ascension grind at ar55 still gives way more value to your resin due to the guaranteed 5 star pieces
Ok, so in a nutshell: 1. Choose at least 2 main DPS/carry and max them all out: character levels, talents, weapons, and artifs. 2. For supports, level 60 is fine. Focus more on leveling up their weapons & artifs. (For supports that I extra like, i probably will ascend them past 70 so I can get the Acquaint Fate bonus reward). 3. Farm gold artifacts from domains at AR 45+ World 6 because you’re guaranteed gold ones. Ok. Got it. 👍
I like contents like this. started playing mid Dec 2020 and run through all stories just for the primo and didnt get any "discipline" or "routine" on how to play the game efficiently. currently at AR 44 and making a spreadsheet schedule AND THIS HELPED ALOT. thanks!
@@TerraTheWise Not really. I won't hit 55 next week certainly, but with all the events this month, it wouldn't be impossible for me to hit it next month. It's 55 to 56 that's insane, but that's as a "soft cap."
@@MrHav1k I’m 54 and it’s gonna take me another 4 or 5 days to hit 55 if I spend all 160 resin then do a refresh each day. I’m just saying it’s a grind and will take longer than you think. Unless you’re doing refreshes of course.
what I’m foreseeing not liking is probably at world 7 and above where your enemies/bosses are 80+ & 90+ and your characters/weapons need to be near level 70+ or 80+ to really enjoy their potential, the grind ESPECIALLY for newly obtained characters/weapons would be too tedious, especially with limited Resin. Collecting their ascension materials would take way too long. Not to mention you need tons of Mora to level up/ascend just one new character’s levels, talents, weapons and artifacts. They won’t be ready for battle until they’re close to level 70 or 80 at the very least because you’d be in a much tougher world fighting tougher enemies/bosses at level 90+. So you’re using unfully-build characters/weapons/artifacts in a high-level world-and you have no choice. Long term, i feel that this will lessen people’s enjoyment. - I think a solution to this is the game should give you an option to temporarily go down one world or two, so that as you level up/ascend your NEWLY OBTAINED characters and weapons, they would be at par to the world you’re in. Of course, take note: if you decide to go down one world or two, players must accept the fact that the drops from domains and bosses will go down too. But just give players options anyway.
Great idea! It would definitely encourage players to play with their newly obtained characters more without having to level them up first to a “playable” level in the WL we’re currently in. Fighting a level 80 slime using a level 20 character is depressing :( If this is going to be implemented, I wouldn’t mind Mihoyo putting a cap on the level of characters you can put in your team based on the WL you choose. For instance if you choose to play in WL5, the highest level of characters allowed in your team can only be level 60, along with the lower drop rates.
Ah. The Tash Man speaks the truth! I'm working on a 2nd account (F2P 'cos I too am curious on the difference between paying and F2P [I'm a small spender on my main account]) 'cos a.) I love this game so much, b.) I love replaying the story and c.) re-exploring the world from scratch. I am taking everything I've learned from my main account and you in order to better spend my resources on my characters. As such, I have a L40 Kaeya with 40% crit. rate and 105% crit. dmg. just from getting lucky w' drops and levelling the right artifacts. Really good video. Very sound advice. Keep rockin' it dude.
My best tip, just play something else till next content drops since there's nothing to use Ur minmax stuff on when you get it anyway. I did this after beating liyue story waited for inazuma then came back and it was fine got through it without any op gear and even a little underlevelled at the start. I was actually level 50 on all chars when I started inazuma, and just worked on ascending while playing through story
@@wooshbait6023 Same xD I'm at AR 47, haven't really farmed artifacts until 45 because I wanted to get guaranteed 5* artifacts and now I can't do much of the highest difficulty domains to get better artifacts xD
Mtashed is here to help common and newer players. He used to play Destiny, and would help players that repeated the same mistakes again and again. He'd also point out and explain the meta that you could normally see from being killed by it.
Do everything exept artifact domain (start at 45) BUT when you get to the dragon and the wolf for the first time and you can start doin theme don't do Ascension quests and try to farm the most for prototype, it's the best time to do it at low world level, then the droprate will be shit. If you don't care for proto you can skip this step DON'T forge the lance from the dragon spine quest, take the proto and use it to refine crescent or forge one of the other (you can get for free 3 proto, you can use theme to get a crescent pyke ref3) DON'T do the Ascension quest at 45, first farm domain, weapons, talent, level, Ascension (don't farm for the last Ascension level, do that AR 55) Farm for artifact route (there is one good route you still have to do even if you are lazy, don't skip her, it takes just 2 minutes) Do your daily quests every day and reputation quests every week Do the crimson wish Do the mining spots from the 2 blacksmith If a day you have no time to play o you just don't wanna use all the resin to craft ore for the weapons (3 magical ore and 10 resin) Try not to waste resin, do your math and try to log before you start losing resin points Do always expedition on ore first and then mora/ingridient Don't miss the events Try to farm at least one type of monster from the book if you need their items every day When you are going to farm artifact sets for the first time, just farm until you get the pieces with the main stat that you need, don't over do it, if you need a goblet with pyro element and you get it but the sub stats are not god Tier, it's ok, the spike from the main stat it's still Huge if you have no specific set and no five stars. Level theme up and get every one the set they need to get the first Huge power spike, when the time will come, you are gonna try to get better substats, don't waste too much time and resin the first time, you can lose weeks upon weeks on the perfect artifact, there other things to do with your resin (obv if you roll flat def, attack, hp and %hp... Welp... In that case dump it, not perfect but neither super shit XD) Never wish at the start of a banner, wait until the community can tell if the 5 stars is really broken or just good You can invest in the level 90 MC bc MC will have every element and free C6. Kaya is a save bet to invest in level 90, he is the core DPS for the frozen comps (if you don't have Ganyu) the others free 4 stars... Nope, If you wanna xiangling Dps with crescent pyke you can max her (and so you will have 2 main DPS level 90, xian and kaya and the MC that can be in every team for supp or sub dps) Welp, i think it's time to stop for now XD
i think this is a very good tip, and i am very glad that just ascended most of my characters to 60, so i got their ascension passives, i will definitely wait til 55 for the rest, i am pretty close anywaay (just got 54) good video man :)
Genshin is the only gacha game I've played that doesn't have a way to farm it's summoning resource. Every other gacha game I play, had it's summoning methood as a random drop, using summoners war as an example, in sw after clearing a dungeon you have a chance of getting a scroll to summon, very small chance but it's there, you can also get crystals (which is basically the same as primogems) from farming. Right now in Genshin I'm AR 50 and there are no more chests and I literally can't summon for 1 primo sometimes and I can't find a chest and enemies don't have even the slightest chance of dropping a single primogem so there's no way for f2p to get a 5* they want unless they pay for it because dailies don't even give a full wish a day. You need 3 days for a single wish unless you do abyss. Is it really that hard for the company's economy to add some way of getting more primos once there are no chests or anything else to do? Even if it's 2 primogems from killing 1 in 50 monsters.

im AR52 and my main dps (childe, ganyu, razor) and main supports (zhongli, mona) are still lvl 70 (ascended to 80) LOL im literally thriving and i always have more than enough XP books for any new characters i get , i just don't see the point of upgrading them to 80-90 when they're doing very good at W7 and the only issues i have is just time on floor 12 chamber 3 so other than that i just rather funnel all my resources on more artifacts

I found this video by accident and I was just trying to find out if you could trade with other players. But given the title I just said I'll look at it for fun. I'm not really the type to look for videos like this but I wanted to see what people's opinion about this game was and should I keep playing it. I'm more of the type that likes to figure everything out myself and if after trying everything I can think of out then I'll as for or look for help. I haven't gamed for about 2+ years, so I've been out for a while lol, ESO player here. My niece told me about this game and I tried it out, I did not really take her seriously. It's not bad I like it, didn't think I would. Here is how I'm doing so far. Been playing for about 2 weeks now. And during my first week, I figured out something I am continuing for maybe one more week. And that is, I got to AR level 25 and there was a quest in the adventures guild that will raise your world level (something my niece kept telling me about for world joining or something). So I read the fine print and doing so raises the enemies also so I said I'll hold off and make myself strong/maxed, learn how the world works and complete the map while I am strong and the enemies are weak. Now I have crazy XP just sitting/gaining because I noticed that it still levels up (thank God lol) even without leveling up your world level. Now I know you have level up your AR to move on and do higher-level domains and so forth, but why (at the moment) would I want to level my enemies up with me when I'm going to get the same stuff and I can farm and level faster? That would just waste more time. My main character (the story one) is lvl 50, with a lvl 50 weapon (Max HP 8557, ATK 770, DEF 479, EM 49, Max Stam 216 not sure if this is good yet but it's working lol. Don't get me wrong I'm still just a newb. My goal now is to farm and kill every enemy and finish the map at world level one so that I can understand as much as possible then level up my world level. That way with all of this XP when I level up my world level I'll just plain instantly level up. So far I have been just one-shotting most regular enemies and killing others with regular hit combos. And I kill most bosses in 30 secs to 3 minutes. So I'll just farm everything like that for about a week then move on. Good video, and reading the comments has actually made me think about sticking with this game. To think I just took it as some kid game my niece was playing on her phone with her friends. I'm glad she got me to try it. The people who play this are pretty nice as well. My niece is like AR 35 or something. She's going to teach me about this wish stuff, and all of these currencies. So I don't really know anything I'm learning lol.

I agree with what you said about getting to level 90.. the smartest thing i would do is farm pyro regreaive for bennet but farm for xinyan at the same time...so that way it wont be a overfarm! 3. I might have got 1 or 2 claymore drops. From when the weekly bosses started until now. I wish we were able to choose what prototype we want 4. Open up a new shop to buty prototypes
i'm so unmotivated to grind artifacts. takes ages to get 40 resin to make into a condensed resin, spend it in less than a minute and end up with two shitty, five star artifacts which will be going straight to fodder. this game is straight up depressing with the amount of rng.
Before you to abyss endgame, make sure: Build 2 damage dealer, max build 1 healer, 1 dps support,shield ,etc All 4 element your choice, if no, electro can deal all kind of shield beside hammer fatui All kind of thing in your world can't hurt you
Levels are more than just the pittance you get to base stats - they change the damage formula because it’s based on the level difference between you and your opponent.
It's not a huge difference, though. Something like 4% for going from 80 to 90. And if the character isn't on the field much... And for the cost of doing that, you can level up another character a lot of levels, which will improve their survivability, damage, and give you options in team composition. So overall, more likely to have a bigger impact. Though worth noting that you don't have to go to the max level allowed, nor stay at the min level possible. It's totally legal to stop at 85/90, thereby getting some of the benefit of extra levels, while still avoiding the costliest levels of all (and still benefiting from the xp you gain from doing stuff).
You'll slap a 2 piece Venerer on him, for 15% anemo damage, and then 2 glads and one whatever. And if you don't even have two decent glads for him, then just whatever, because you'll only be missing out on 15% attack, and you can more than make up for that 2 piece bonus with decent substats.
Mihoyo needs to get rid of the artifacts that can roll a main elemental bonus dmg stat which is different from the elemental set bonus. For example, why would ANYONE need a hydro bonus damage main stat on a crimson set?
This! This is the best advice. I have several characters I leveled up beyond 70 only to find out later they werent going to be in my main team. Focus on 2 chars, save all the resin for 55 and dont lvl up your supports too far. Yes, I have done this. I have a lvl 90 Jean (because at the time, she was my first and only 5-star), but I put everything in Razor and Ganyu now and they are carrying everything.
To summarize: AR 1-45: farm talent books bosses ascension materials and weapon materials for ur DPS's. Also general rule of thumb, there should be a 2:1 ratio for your dps n support (in other words max ur dps.. the support u dont really need to upgrade them as intense as ur dps and mainly only upgrade ther skill or burst talent). At 45-54: by this point, Dps are well build.. and what we need is for them and support or even the other characters (why not?) to get that juicy big boost of 5*artifacts from domains. So focus on that and u might ascend ur dps to the lvl90 but not level them up to lvl 90. Also u dont have to increase ur world level to enjoy the domain artifact farming. U can still access it. AR55+: by now, at least almost all or some.. but preferebly ur go to team comps characters is already well build with the 5* artifacts and now u can farm bosses to levl them up to ascension 90 and again.. dont need to levl them up to 90.
Good advice, that hopefully helps a lot of people! When I learned about guaranteed drops for legend artifacts on world bosses at AR55 I reached that same conclusion. I'd recommend using one of those genshin apps that can track exactly what you need to reach certain levels and then you can work on all the things (local specialities, mob drops, mora and xp) while heading towards AR55. As well as weapons, talents and artifacts as you said. The best app I've found for such a thing is NAGIA. Keep grinding champions.
There no doubt about it that the best way to optimal farm at AR 50-55 is NOT ascending characters. It is maxing the weapons of each main and support dps, it is farming artifacts for your main dps, farming books to abundance, and farming exp books/mora so you can upgrade support characters to lv 70/80 and main dps to lv 90 once u are AR 55. As so as you hit AR 55, then it is optimal to farm world bosses and bring dps characters and support dps characters past 80/90 and to 90.

@@AnaSantos-mx4rj She can get crazy amount of attack damage bonus with her E if you get a lot of BASE attack and a lot of Max HP, since her maximum attack bonus is 400% of her base attack. She's a pretty good DPS, but like Chongyun, she relies on her E to deal damage, her E duration is 9s and CD 16s, that's 7s without her S she's selfish in her E mode too. So if you get her, make sure to have a good shielder, and have a backup DPS that could deal some damage while her E is down.

Im not gonna lie, there's not really much to do when you've caught up to the story. I'm assuming Mihoyo's intent is for people to just log on a couple a week to stretch out the progression and let's be honest, it's probably what the vast majority of the players do. So when people (cough like myself cough) get hooked, eventually you just run out of content.
I really think they should take a page out of Warframe's book. There's literally always something to grind for in that game. There are a ton of activities to do and loot to collect. Just more loot and a more interactive world would change so much.

Well yeah, like most games, endgame progression is slower. I think what mihoio didn't expect is for many players to be this hooked to the game, so when they saw the game take of as much as it did, they were like "Well shit, we need to get these people some content" and thats why they put out things like the lantern Rite, The kurious Kamara event, The event where stars were falling from the sky, and that last one is very important bc we got a detail that basicaly said "We're going for real" an that is the addition of the eight Fatui Harbringer aka Scaramouche, this is bc Mihoio is investing in the story and it seems to be they're here until all the story is concluded (when traveler finds his/her sibling)

Theres so fucking many of them and they all combine to create new elemental reactions and damage varieties. TIP SUMMARY:
1. Choose two (Main DPS) characters and focus on them.
2. Before AR 45, do this: Max their level until 70 or 80.
3. Next, get great artifacts for them.
4. Finally, focus on leveling up their talents.
(Ex: Diluc, Ganyu, etc)
After you did this, then: do the same thing for your support
(Ex: Zhongli, etc)

I am AR 45, still doing boss, talent, weapon, levels, Ascension... I am gonna start the artifact domain farm when i am done with all of that. And when you need to do the final level of Ascension, the farm you have to do for 6 gold gems is really long and at AR 55 (when i am gonna actually start) i am gonna get tons of 5 stars, in the mean time i can still get some good 5 stars if luck is on my side (obv i am not gonna do the Ascension quest until i complete all this things, the glad set and the other set with the gold gems are the last things i am gonna do)
Artifact farming isn’t as bad as you’re making it, it can be fun sometimes when you get good ones and if you get bad ones then so what lol. Artifact farming also has progress just slower progress which yields to higher rewards though. Weapon and talent levels don’t matter nearly as much as godly artifacts. Of course they still contribute a lot but having good artifacts contributes a lot more than the other two.
Unless they make some serious RNG or quality of life changes with resin and/or the gatcha system...this game is going to be awful for veteran players who are already AR 50+

AR 1-30 play the game they way you want, artifacts and a main dps don't matter. Figure what characters u wanna use long term.
AR 30-45 finish all the missions and start getting materials to really bump the characters you want to lvl 70-80
AR45+ grind for artifacts with great stats. Max out weapons and so on for your spiral abyss teams and the characters you really want to use.
AR50 same as 45 but now use your fragile resin to grind for the best artifacts and so on. Honestly this is exactly how I have done it and I'm not entirely f2p but I've only bought Battle pass and welkin stone pass and my account is probably about as good as you can get as f2p. I have tons of good characters and artifacts. now I'm just perfecting my artifacts

@@Ire_Naru they are correct! if you're not within 20 levels of a mob that should be liftable (smaller mobs and normal sized humans) then you can't lift them. sucrose's E/Q knocks them up rather than lifting mobs so it's different. i have jean and had to level her to 80 to pick up the lvl 100 mobs in abyss floor 12 with her hold E. when i didn't level her, they would still get sucked into her E but i couldn't yeet them into the air. anemo traveler's Q also gets affected. you just drag mobs across the ground but they don't flail around. not sure about venti's Q since i don't have him :(

The real victory is with Mihoyo. F2P tadpoles, minnows, mackerels, dolphins, orcas, whales and krakens don’t really win. Mihoyo will always dangle something delicious in front of us and grabbing it will be a challenge.
this game would be way better if resin worked differently. like, either not have it at all, or make it refill faster and have a higher cap, and probably also grinding or quests to enhance your resin abilities (to increase caps and refill rate or just grinding to get more resin). like i could literally play the game forever if resin wasn’t an issue

That’s the point man. It needs to be grindy so the player base sticks around to play the god damn game. If it’s not grindy, super short, and you can do things super fast, people will just max everything and then quit the game.

It’s crazy how RNG makes everyone’s experience different. I have tons of gladiator and wanders, and some with cracked stats. Though my rolls on domains are so bad. I’m about to just stick most of my characters with boss artifacts just bc the substats are just that much better.
Ar 53 here still struggling with artifacts for my 2nd dps.. wish they could give us the option to merge some artifacts for better substats

I've been screaming to have for an update to do this for WEEKS! Sub-Stats on Artifacts are Super Make or Break for DPS or Team Synergy. Like My DPS's Artifacts are already at lvl 20 with desired Main-Stats. So when I do their domain to try and get the same Main-stats with better Sub-stats but end up with nothing; it just feels like my day was wasted and I made ZERO progress in the game!

My tip
Get your 2 main dmgs up to ascension 90
Get your other 6 remaining spiral abyss chars to 60 or 70 ascension if u think their lvl 70 talent is useful to you
Grind their talents and weapon materials earlier
Grind their artifacts at AR 45
Level them up once you reach AR 55
But the best tip of all, this is a single-player adventure game. Don't think too much into it and just have fun doing whatever u want to do

I got this bug not only in Dragonspine but in many other places aswell, so annoying.
FINALLY someone finally talked about this. Never saw the point of grinding for the last ascension at ar50-55, so I just kept going ham on artifacts from 45-52. At ar50, my diluc and keqing started to outdamage higher ar peeps in coop, even those with 5 star weaps sometimes(mine only rocks r1 serpent spine and black sword respectively). Really didnt expect to outdmg a wolf's gravestone since that's my dream weap to have, but it just showed that my crits were way better that that guy's(wgs is still way better obviously). Never started grinding for gemstones but when 1.3 came, the craftable converter thing suddenly made it possible to make at least 12 gemstones from the mats that I had(still have a lot to convert if needed) so i started farming world bosses. First 2 regisvine boss runs gave me 2 straight gemstones-so I think it's kinda safe to do the last character ascension grind at ar50-55 due to the benefits that came with 1.3(I think drop rate got better idk but 2 straight gemstones wtf). Just keep on prioritizing artifacts I guess, since doing that ascension grind at ar55 still gives way more value to your resin due to the guaranteed 5 star pieces
Ok, so in a nutshell:
1. Choose at least 2 main DPS/carry and max them all out: character levels, talents, weapons, and artifs.
2. For supports, level 60 is fine. Focus more on leveling up their weapons & artifs. (For supports that I extra like, i probably will ascend them past 70 so I can get the Acquaint Fate bonus reward).
3. Farm gold artifacts from domains at AR 45+ World 6 because you’re guaranteed gold ones.

what I’m foreseeing not liking is probably at world 7 and above where your enemies/bosses are 80+ & 90+ and your characters/weapons need to be near level 70+ or 80+ to really enjoy their potential, the grind ESPECIALLY for newly obtained characters/weapons would be too tedious, especially with limited Resin. Collecting their ascension materials would take way too long. Not to mention you need tons of Mora to level up/ascend just one new character’s levels, talents, weapons and artifacts. They won’t be ready for battle until they’re close to level 70 or 80 at the very least because you’d be in a much tougher world fighting tougher enemies/bosses at level 90+. So you’re using unfully-build characters/weapons/artifacts in a high-level world-and you have no choice. Long term, i feel that this will lessen people’s enjoyment.

I think a solution to this is the game should give you an option to temporarily go down one world or two, so that as you level up/ascend your NEWLY OBTAINED characters and weapons, they would be at par to the world you’re in. Of course, take note: if you decide to go down one world or two, players must accept the fact that the drops from domains and bosses will go down too. But just give players options anyway.

Great idea! It would definitely encourage players to play with their newly obtained characters more without having to level them up first to a “playable” level in the WL we’re currently in. Fighting a level 80 slime using a level 20 character is depressing :( If this is going to be implemented, I wouldn’t mind Mihoyo putting a cap on the level of characters you can put in your team based on the WL you choose. For instance if you choose to play in WL5, the highest level of characters allowed in your team can only be level 60, along with the lower drop rates.

Ah. The Tash Man speaks the truth! I'm working on a 2nd account (F2P 'cos I too am curious on the difference between paying and F2P [I'm a small spender on my main account]) 'cos a.) I love this game so much, b.) I love replaying the story and c.) re-exploring the world from scratch. I am taking everything I've learned from my main account and you in order to better spend my resources on my characters. As such, I have a L40 Kaeya with 40% crit. rate and 105% crit. dmg. just from getting lucky w' drops and levelling the right artifacts.

My best tip, just play something else till next content drops since there's nothing to use Ur minmax stuff on when you get it anyway. I did this after beating liyue story waited for inazuma then came back and it was fine got through it without any op gear and even a little underlevelled at the start. I was actually level 50 on all chars when I started inazuma, and just worked on ascending while playing through story
my biggest mistake was farming artifacts really early 😔

Mtashed is here to help common and newer players. He used to play Destiny, and would help players that repeated the same mistakes again and again. He'd also point out and explain the meta that you could normally see from being killed by it.
He's new to gacha, but he's familiar with rpgs like the division.
Do everything exept artifact domain (start at 45)
BUT when you get to the dragon and the wolf for the first time and you can start doin theme don't do Ascension quests and try to farm the most for prototype, it's the best time to do it at low world level, then the droprate will be shit. If you don't care for proto you can skip this step
DON'T forge the lance from the dragon spine quest, take the proto and use it to refine crescent or forge one of the other (you can get for free 3 proto, you can use theme to get a crescent pyke ref3)
DON'T do the Ascension quest at 45, first farm domain, weapons, talent, level, Ascension (don't farm for the last Ascension level, do that AR 55)
Farm for artifact route (there is one good route you still have to do even if you are lazy, don't skip her, it takes just 2 minutes)
Do your daily quests every day and reputation quests every week
Do the crimson wish
Do the mining spots from the 2 blacksmith
If a day you have no time to play o you just don't wanna use all the resin to craft ore for the weapons (3 magical ore and 10 resin)
Try not to waste resin, do your math and try to log before you start losing resin points
Do always expedition on ore first and then mora/ingridient
Don't miss the events
Try to farm at least one type of monster from the book if you need their items every day
When you are going to farm artifact sets for the first time, just farm until you get the pieces with the main stat that you need, don't over do it, if you need a goblet with pyro element and you get it but the sub stats are not god Tier, it's ok, the spike from the main stat it's still Huge if you have no specific set and no five stars. Level theme up and get every one the set they need to get the first Huge power spike, when the time will come, you are gonna try to get better substats, don't waste too much time and resin the first time, you can lose weeks upon weeks on the perfect artifact, there other things to do with your resin (obv if you roll flat def, attack, hp and %hp... Welp... In that case dump it, not perfect but neither super shit XD)
Never wish at the start of a banner, wait until the community can tell if the 5 stars is really broken or just good
You can invest in the level 90 MC bc MC will have every element and free C6. Kaya is a save bet to invest in level 90, he is the core DPS for the frozen comps (if you don't have Ganyu) the others free 4 stars... Nope, If you wanna xiangling Dps with crescent pyke you can max her (and so you will have 2 main DPS level 90, xian and kaya and the MC that can be in every team for supp or sub dps)

Genshin is the only gacha game I've played that doesn't have a way to farm it's summoning resource. Every other gacha game I play, had it's summoning methood as a random drop, using summoners war as an example, in sw after clearing a dungeon you have a chance of getting a scroll to summon, very small chance but it's there, you can also get crystals (which is basically the same as primogems) from farming.
Right now in Genshin I'm AR 50 and there are no more chests and I literally can't summon for 1 primo sometimes and I can't find a chest and enemies don't have even the slightest chance of dropping a single primogem so there's no way for f2p to get a 5* they want unless they pay for it because dailies don't even give a full wish a day. You need 3 days for a single wish unless you do abyss. Is it really that hard for the company's economy to add some way of getting more primos once there are no chests or anything else to do? Even if it's 2 primogems from killing 1 in 50 monsters.

im AR52 and my main dps (childe, ganyu, razor) and main supports (zhongli, mona) are still lvl 70 (ascended to 80) LOL im literally thriving and i always have more than enough XP books for any new characters i get , i just don't see the point of upgrading them to 80-90 when they're doing very good at W7 and the only issues i have is just time on floor 12 chamber 3 so other than that i just rather funnel all my resources on more artifacts

I found this video by accident and I was just trying to find out if you could trade with other players. But given the title I just said I'll look at it for fun. I'm not really the type to look for videos like this but I wanted to see what people's opinion about this game was and should I keep playing it. I'm more of the type that likes to figure everything out myself and if after trying everything I can think of out then I'll as for or look for help. I haven't gamed for about 2+ years, so I've been out for a while lol, ESO player here.
My niece told me about this game and I tried it out, I did not really take her seriously.
It's not bad I like it, didn't think I would.
Here is how I'm doing so far. Been playing for about 2 weeks now. And during my first week, I figured out something I am continuing for maybe one more week. And that is, I got to AR level 25 and there was a quest in the adventures guild that will raise your world level (something my niece kept telling me about for world joining or something). So I read the fine print and doing so raises the enemies also so I said I'll hold off and make myself strong/maxed, learn how the world works and complete the map while I am strong and the enemies are weak. Now I have crazy XP just sitting/gaining because I noticed that it still levels up (thank God lol) even without leveling up your world level. Now I know you have level up your AR to move on and do higher-level domains and so forth, but why (at the moment) would I want to level my enemies up with me when I'm going to get the same stuff and I can farm and level faster? That would just waste more time. My main character (the story one) is lvl 50, with a lvl 50 weapon (Max HP 8557, ATK 770, DEF 479, EM 49, Max Stam 216 not sure if this is good yet but it's working lol. Don't get me wrong I'm still just a newb. My goal now is to farm and kill every enemy and finish the map at world level one so that I can understand as much as possible then level up my world level. That way with all of this XP when I level up my world level I'll just plain instantly level up. So far I have been just one-shotting most regular enemies and killing others with regular hit combos. And I kill most bosses in 30 secs to 3 minutes. So I'll just farm everything like that for about a week then move on.
Good video, and reading the comments has actually made me think about sticking with this game. To think I just took it as some kid game my niece was playing on her phone with her friends. I'm glad she got me to try it. The people who play this are pretty nice as well. My niece is like AR 35 or something. She's going to teach me about this wish stuff, and all of these currencies. Before you to abyss endgame, make sure:
Build 2 damage dealer, max build
1 healer, 1 dps support,shield ,etc
All 4 element your choice, if no, electro can deal all kind of shield beside hammer fatui
All kind of thing in your world can't hurt you
This is the reason i havent done bosses in weeks. Ill be AR 55 tomorrow.
Levels are more than just the pittance you get to base stats - they change the damage formula because it’s based on the level difference between you and your opponent.
It's not a huge difference, though. Something like 4% for going from 80 to 90. And if the character isn't on the field much... And for the cost of doing that, you can level up another character a lot of levels, which will improve their survivability, damage, and give you options in team composition. So overall, more likely to have a bigger impact.
Though worth noting that you don't have to go to the max level allowed, nor stay at the min level possible. It's totally legal to stop at 85/90, thereby getting some of the benefit of extra levels, while still avoiding the costliest levels of all (and still benefiting from the xp you gain from doing stuff).

You'll slap a 2 piece Venerer on him, for 15% anemo damage, and then 2 glads and one whatever. And if you don't even have two decent glads for him, then just whatever, because you'll only be missing out on 15% attack, and you can more than make up for that 2 piece bonus with decent substats.
These days it seems that most of my resin is spent of blossom of wealth and revelation 😭
Mihoyo needs to get rid of the artifacts that can roll a main elemental bonus dmg stat which is different from the elemental set bonus. For example, why would ANYONE need a hydro bonus damage main stat on a crimson set?
I think mihoyo purposedly capped the artifact set effects into 4-set only so that the cup/goblet would be an off-piece.
This! This is the best advice. I have several characters I leveled up beyond 70 only to find out later they werent going to be in my main team. Focus on 2 chars, save all the resin for 55 and dont lvl up your supports too far. Yes, I have done this. I have a lvl 90 Jean (because at the time, she was my first and only 5-star), but I put everything in Razor and Ganyu now and they are carrying everything.

Lucky I have super god rolls on my 4 Yellow Wanderers troupe set. My crit rate artifact is my best with 33% Crit Damage
To summarize:
AR 1-45: farm talent books bosses ascension materials and weapon materials for ur DPS's. Also general rule of thumb, there should be a 2:1 ratio for your dps n support (in other words max ur dps.. the support u dont really need to upgrade them as intense as ur dps and mainly only upgrade ther skill or burst talent).
At 45-54: by this point, Dps are well build.. and what we need is for them and support or even the other characters (why not?) to get that juicy big boost of 5*artifacts from domains. So focus on that and u might ascend ur dps to the lvl90 but not level them up to lvl 90. Also u dont have to increase ur world level to enjoy the domain artifact farming. U can still access it.
AR55+: by now, at least almost all or some.. but preferebly ur go to team comps characters is already well build with the 5* artifacts and now u can farm bosses to levl them up to ascension 90 and again.. dont need to levl them up to 90.
I feel like I'm getting gold artifacts on bosses at least ⅓ of the time since ar45, I've got gladiator and wanderers all over the place!

When I learned about guaranteed drops for legend artifacts on world bosses at AR55 I reached that same conclusion.
I'd recommend using one of those genshin apps that can track exactly what you need to reach certain levels and then you can work on all the things (local specialities, mob drops, mora and xp) while heading towards AR55. As well as weapons, talents and artifacts as you said.
The best app I've found for such a thing is NAGIA.

There no doubt about it that the best way to optimal farm at AR 50-55 is NOT ascending characters. It is maxing the weapons of each main and support dps, it is farming artifacts for your main dps, farming books to abundance, and farming exp books/mora so you can upgrade support characters to lv 70/80 and main dps to lv 90 once u are AR 55. As so as you hit AR 55, then it is optimal to farm world bosses and bring dps characters and support dps characters past 80/90 and to 90.
