      i'm lucky because i have a lot of spare characters i don't use that i make hold alternate artifact sets of my characters. but it's still a pain in the ass cz like, you have someone like raiden who you can build 3 sets for (she uses eos/paradise lost/tenacity depending on what i'm running her for) and it just gets super messy trying to remember who you gave those alternate artifacts to. and using this makeshift method you can't even use the same artifact twice... i assume if there were a loadout option you would be able to make sets that use the same artifact and when you swap to it it would give you a notif that asks if you want to take said artifact if it's in use in another set etc.

      I dont even bother with combining artifacts i just do a quick slot and look at the stats and say, eh good enough. Saves me the headache of finding that one piece in my collection 😅

    for new players locked out of inazuma, imagine if there was a traveling salesman that sells a couple of materials from inazuma that refreshes in a week or so. but i don't know, i don't think it takes that long to reach inazuma

      @@eulalord9617 it's been awhile since i unlocked inazuma so my memory about it isn't very accurate, but that does sound about right. not to mention the amount of quests you need to do first that are most likely also locked behind AR requirements

    I got 2 more issues they fixed: Special dashes getting stuck on tiny rocks and stairs (also Yelan and Sayu), and adding an indicator to underground waypoints

    I got one problem: EVENT RERUNS. If you got into the game late, there's an ocean of events you never get to see, and some times the new events reference what happened in the last one. It would be neat if players who didn't experience the first event could get it as an unlockable similar to character story quests.

      Honestly! I joined during 2.8 and I really wish I could have played the event with Albedo and Dragonspine. From what I've seen it looked like such an interesting quest but unfortunately I'll never see it

      Yes! And maybe opportunities for newer players to get those limited weapons during an event rerun. Old players could be compensated with primos,mora, etc. for already having them

      Literally every gacha game and their mother has event rerun or an event archive where you get to do all the past events once.
      And surprise surprise, genshin is the only one that does not have it because they are just that incompetent/lazy. They make content just to immediately erase it next patch/hide it somewhere in the myriad of GBs they continuosly add to the game, wasting space on my hard drive.

    For the pets,they could've just add some "dialogue" options, like "feed" and "pet".
    Choosing "pet", some hearts appear above their heads (like on the hangouts), while choosing "feed" summons a bowl of food for them. Wouldn't need to create a animation for each character (if this is what's holding them back, lol)

      There are some world quests in Inazuma and one in Sumeru that let you feed dogs in Hanamizaka, cats at the Asase Shrine, and Rishboland Tigers... but that's still not quite enough.

      We literally do have commissions for that in Inazuma , feeding cats
      And i am pretty sure you can feed those dogs in dragonspine, fishes which give you a chest

    A "smile" expression for every character in the camera menu to take them pictures. I'm so tire to take pictures of my Ganyu with a sad, serious or tired expression :(

      @@martuxxx different characters have different “faces” that are tuned to their personality, some don’t
      I don’t get why they only have three expressions for each though seems counterintuitive if you actually want players using your camera function

    Something that wasn't on the list here which I think is important. I want crafting tables to be in the beginning of domains so I don't have to teleport back and forth to condense resin. Speaking of teleporting, I want Hoyo to seperate teleport TO the domain (you stay in overworld) or teleport INTO the domain. It just saves up loading time, which is a big thing for people who have slow devices.

      Edit: You can teleport to the mansion (without using any custom waypoints), but not directly into it.

      Umm you literally need to select which domain level you need to enter and your team too, and not everyone remembers enemies in different domains to use the characters against

    They need to fix how you need to farm the same boss 20 times whenever to get a new character in order to ascend them. It's tedious and unrewarding. Maybe add a difficulty option at max world level that makes the boss actually really difficult but in return you get more rewards and so only need to fight it like 4 times. Or maybe the bosses will just get harder and drop more rewards every time you defeat them, so you have no choice but to actually master their attacks over time.

      Even with prefarming this is still an issue and I hate it because waiting those 8 minutes over 4 fights only gives one resin, it has annoyed me since 1.0 that resin refreshes aren't once every 5 minutes like (I think) all other gacha games.

      Neither are true HP scaling characters. We need an actual HP scaling DPS for Bell. Not characters whose HP have minimal contribution in damage.

      @@bloody4558 it would be one thing if Dori had a shield or some extra AoE, or if Dehya's burst allowed the player to tap to use XC & YL bursts or control direction with the camera and press the attack button to use an attack, with an obvious interval before it does the attack on its own, but we've got terrible characters for the sake of terrible characters right now, and their building a tiny submeta to make these characters even viable through the tiny taking damage buff route.

    Something I would really like to have is being able to have unlimited condensed resin. Because some days there's nothing you need to spend your resin on at all, or you just don't feel like it, so it would be nice to collect those condensed for when you actually need them. It's not that much different from being able to hoard fragile resin so idk why they have such an annoying limit on condensed resin.

      it’s probably so that people don’t make condensed resin everyday and then spend it all at once. not only would it be less engaging for the player, but it would also be bad for hoyoverse since there would be no incentive to log in everyday for ten minutes and spend your resin, people would just hoard condensed and spend it all in an hour. it’s different for fragile resin since you need to actually work to get it, you don’t need to work for condensed at all

    on the subject of repeat passive talents I don't mind passives repeating cuz not everyone has every character but I do wish they were more creative with passives, especially for 5 star characters. I know nahida's an archon but her passive being really useful is actually great and it gives me more incentive to put her on my team. I think baizhu's passive is pretty cool too, even though it might end up being not that useful. give us a pyro or cryo character thats immune to sheer cold, or a hydro character that can walk on water while consuming stamina, like a sprint or glide. idk just smth to switch it up and incentivize using certain characters in over world

      Speaking of Terraria, I'd LOVE to see a system similiar to the Reforge system in Genshin. Maybe reforge the stat/substats of artifacts?
      It could be expensive as hell, like a million mora or so, and randomized based on the artifact's value.

    Part of unskippable cutscenes: any cutscene or dialogue scene should require initiation from the player.
    The number of times ive been just doing dailies, and run into a 10 minute cutscene that I dont have time for, so I just have to blast through it... but I want to hear the story, just please let me do it on my time, not whenever a daily gets close to the quest start point.

      No doubt they originally thought the choice of four teams would act the same as weapon/ item loadout. Each character is, in effect, a different weapon.

      selective cons they might be concerned about if you disable certian ones your character just becomes even more powerful but i wouldnt know all i can say is c6 bennett aint bad theyve increasingly made it for new characters where their infusion cant be overridden.

      From their point of view, artifact loadout means you only have to farm artifacts for fewer times since you can change artifacts between characters easily. So yeah, I don't see us getting artifact loadouts anytime soon.

      @AlphaGT I guess that's A reason, but I don't think it's a very good reason.
      Look at their other game, honkai impact 3rd for example. In that game, your equivalent to artifacts are stigmata, and you have to spend freemium currency to obtain the BIS ones for a specific character. Yet, THEY actually have stirgmata/weapon loadouts.
      If it's just for the reason of making us artifact grind longer, then it still doesn't make all that much sense, especially considering some characters that share artifact sets may have different needs than others.
      Like think about how many characters can use a Noblesse set, Bennet, Diona, Faruzan, Maybe Candace, etc.

      @@kingalex105x7 they could just make it so that you can only disable constellations from last to first, for example you can diss const 6, 5 and 4 all together but not only the 5th, only the 4th or something. Basically make it so that it reverts back to how it was before you unlocked the consts.

    As a relatively new player that started in July of last year,
    Yeah I can see how Genshin is going, between infrequent QoL updates and the amount of things to do, they miss potential with not fully utilizing mechanics and having a lot of character overlap, which should not be an issue when a game is going for a smaller roster than others of its kind.

      Yes!! My sister is a Klee main and she complains a lot of not having dodoco tales. She loves Klee (she's a child not a pedophile in case someone is wondering) and is pretty jelous that I have dodoco tales because she joined the game later than 1.6.

    What i really want, is a way to divide the "unfreeze" button from the jump button. And no, i'm not specifically talking about Dehya, is just so annoying when you are fighting against a bunch of Hydro+Cryo enemies and you keep jumping and falling in the same spot getting frozen again (specially if the Cryo slimes leaves a cloud).
    If not, at least make it like Honkai, where you unfreeze by tapping attack or dashing.

      I think the keybind would be fine if there was a CC cooldown. Like you can't be refrozen for 1-2s after breaking out of it. As it is now, you can be completely CC chained by spam which just leaves you pressing space and jumping up and down like an idiot.

      @@Snakester789 And, to make matters even worse, you can't do anything while jumping or falling, other than, well, jumping or falling. No skill, no attack, no nothing. Pain unless you manage to have an element cleansing burst down first, like Bennett's. Even then, those run out eventually and usually don't have 100% uptime (duration vs CD ratio)

    I agree on loadouts. I have to spend like 15 minutes changing artifacts/weapons before or while doing spiral abyss and often forget to re-equip. The worst is when I am sleepwalking until floor 12-3 and then realize that one or two of my team members are not equipped correctly and have to restart!

    I'd like to add two things to complement things you've mentioned:
    - A lock-on feature.
    - Enemies achieve should show which resistances enemies have so that we can learn more about the game, and its mechanics.

      Just confused about the 'lock-on feature'. What does that mean specifically? Genshin already provides an auto aim mechanic that could be improved on in terms of visibility but I believe that would already be considered an auto-lock feature. To be on the same page could you specify what you desire?

      @@kevin15535 I meant a way to manually choose the mob you want to dish out all of your damage output/combos. For instance; I can not use my Hu Tao’s charged attacks on a SINGLE mob when I am facing an entire horde, you know? She keeps bouncing back and forth in between mobs making it very frustrating when I want to eliminate a specific target. Does that make sense? A lock-on feature is a standard feature in AAA games, and mobile games alike. Honkai 3rd/Star Rail, ToF, Zelda, Souls-like series, etc all have it…It’s not mandatory, but it’s there and it is super nice to have. (Plus, let’s be honest, Genshin’s auto-targeting system isn’t the most reliable feature in the game)

    Still waiting for the billets exchange. And i'm talking about changing sword billet to the catalyst one or bow or any other type of weapon. Not the system where you exchange old type billets to the sumeru ones.

    Why can't we choose our preselected parties in Spiral Abyss? Once you have a lot of characters it becomes kind of a pain to search for specific ones. Especially when they gave us 10 team slots to use but you can't just choose from them in SA or in certain events.

    One major problem I see that may never get fixed is how the standard prize pool works. I think they should give certain 5 star characters and weapons rate-ups every couple weeks like they do with limited banners. Or at least an epitomized system like the weapon banner. That way the 50/50 thing still works, but you're more likely to get what you're wanting out of the banner. Like if they keep adding things to standard its going to be harder to get certain weapons/characters. I genuinely believe they could make more money and people would be willing to spend on standard if they were to implement rate-ups or an epitomized path. Like I've heard there are some people at AR 60 with a one standard character at C6, but they don't even have another character. Or another time I read someone said it took them 2 years to finally pull Diluc. It's possible you could never get a certain item from standard because everything has the same chance to show up unlike the limited banners that have some system in place.

    Nilou's cooking passive is pretty underrated as not many know this but she is one of only a couple characters whose cooking passive lines up with her signature dish. Meaning you have a chance to get a double signature drop and just a baseline increase to getting her signature at all. Her dish is also very good as its a 25% stamina consumption decrease to climbing and sprinting for 900s(15m), or 1500s(25m) on the signature version

    My longtime gripe is on PS4: if there are multiple users on the console each with their own separate Genshin account, Genshin does not save/remember each user's controller setup. If one user changes their setup, those changes are applied to everyone else who also uses that console. So when the next user changes it back to their own setup, it is again changed across all accounts on the console. And so on and on is a cycle of constantly changing your controller setup at the start of each playing session (and if you log in every day like my siblings and I do, this means changing the setup multiple times every single day! very frustrating TT).

    I'd probably use so many more characters if we had loadouts. right now, I don't have very many artifacts I'm happy with but I have other things I'd rather farm. I don't want to be constantly switching artifacts out for characters one at a time so all my characters have completely different artifacts, meaning most of them have pretty bad artifacts. if I could easily get all my best artifacts back on my mains, I'd be having a LOT more fun testing out new characters

    I liked Golden Archipelago specifically in version 2.8. There was so much aesthetic, especially on Fischl and Mona island and I was quite sad, when it was gone. I wish I could go back to that specific version of it once more

    To elaborate 5:00, polearm is seen as powerful even without proper training. So ancient Mondstadt nobilities banned the use of polearms due to fear for rebellions. So don't use it on their sacrificial event either, hence the weapon not existing.

    Making improvements to the crafting system in the pot. Having to run inside to look at a set, then running back out and trying to remember everything you need while looking through a giant list of hundreds of items to manually find it is a pain in the butt.

      @@ms.sysbit5511 I was complaining about the general clunkiness of the design of crafting within the teapot which beyond the remembering what you need to craft included: having to run to another section of the pot to see items from certain sets and just having a giant list of all the crafted items clumped together without more effective ways of sorting through it.
      Maybe next time apply some common sense and read the whole thing instead of just one word 🙄

    For me, the biggest issue is not enough resin, or the domains cost way too much for the RNG it involves. For a long time player, resin is the only important resource. I had an idea for a gadget which will boost your resin generation for like an hour or two. Maybe like quadruple the generation potential or something. There can be limit to how many can be crafted each day so as to not exploit it.

      I think it would be cool as an additional daily reward to get 1 or 2 fragile resin. Makes you either stay in the game a bit longer or you can save them and use them when you have more time. Another thing that would make sense, just like you can craft condenced resin, I feel like we should be able to craft fragile resin, just in case we might not have as much time Of course condenced resin is an option, but since we have a limit on how many of these we can have plus the limit on what we can use them for, being able to craft fragile resin kinda makes sense to me

      Resin supply is really a question of: How fast should one be able to build characters at any given point of account progression?
      If we're only talking about AR 55+ accounts, then the resin efficiency ratios are far too low for the pace at which these "endgame" players want to progress at. WL 8 only makes Normal Bosses guaranteed to drop one 5-Star artifact. Why doesn't every domain have an AR 55 variant? Does it have something to do with random co-op matchmaking? IDK.
      And the problem with creating a WL 9 for AR 60 is that it severely reduces the number of people who can join your world (because the amount of Adventure EXP needed to go beyond AR 55 is *astronomically* increased.)

      Personally I had the idea of reducing resin regen by 1 second for every AR, making it 1 resin every 7 minutes at max AR. Also gives a bit more incentive to try and reach AR60 besides the miniscule amount of rewards it gives and the AR exp to Mora conversion

    Game length before "end game grind" has been "fixed" by the game having 4 chapters now and tons of story quests. I picked up Genshin first when Liyue main quest (the one where jade pavillion is sacrificed) just finished, and while the game was fun, it was a very abrupt switch over to infinite grinding and being capped on resin. This time (I started a new account on PSN) I spent months before even touching my fragile resin, which built up to a neat 60+ before I started needing them for making Abyss viable setups. Also, story has gotten so much better in the later patches. I have actually been somewhat impressed at times.
    Also, with game length, number of free pulls you get has also increased significantly and you will be able to get some limited 5 stars as an F2P player. In that sense, one thing that has become a problem, which I hope they'll address in 4.0, is that we need a new standard banner.

    I remember that Genshin had autoloot at one point but players were complaining that it didn't feel the same playing the game that way and that it was more satisfying to manually pick up drops so they changed it back and only program autoloot for high up chests where drops can fall a long way down and get lost.
    As for Amber, Lisa, and Kaeya not being in 4* pool, that's understandable since more 4* are always getting added in so having those three there will decrease the chance of getting other 4* while they are available in Paimon's shop if you can be patient enough to save starglitters for them.
    As annoying as the slow gliding turn around is, it makes it more realistic than suddenly being able to change direction at the flick of a button/joystick, just as how turning around when swimming is also slow. Just aerodynamics.
    Story keys don't really matter for old players since most of us are caught up or don't even feel like catching up. But for newer players, I think they are there so that new players don't try to speedrun it all in a week and have nothing to do (character quest wise) or simply to farm rewards.
    Overall though, I wish that Hoyo would pour all of the money they made from Genshin back into the game to fix all these things you listed instead of trying to launch and distract us with a new game every 1-2 years.

    I think if this game wasn't made like a mobile game that they also put on systems a lot of these issues wouldn't exist but they made the game a lil backwards. And considering they mainly make mobile games I feel like there's a real disconnect for them about how it should actually work.

      Nah...many mobile games does implement what genshin can't...or decided not to implement. I think this is just compressing and coding capability issue in hoyo side. Because they once wanted genshin to be available on switch, but the game is so bloated and hogging too much resource that would probably unplayable on switch.
      Zelda botw is jam packed with more gameplay mechanics than genshin, yet zelda can be easily played on switch.

    As a year-long Genshin fan, I definitely have some issues that really hurt my enjoyment with it
    *Artifact Grinding:* Artifact grinding is probably the most soul-crushing thing you can possibly partake in. There’s too much RNG involved in it. The only guaranteed part is losing 20 Resin after each run. The Artifact set is random, the Artifact set piece is random. The artifact main stat is random. The artifact has 4 substats (which are all randomly acquired). Those substats randomly level up every 4 levels too. And everytime a substat levels up, the amount it levels up by is also random. This is RNG on top of RNG on top of RNG on top of RNG on top of RNG. Streamers can literally spend over 3,000 Resin and only get 5 or 6 actual good artifacts. What’s the point?! It’s dumb and tedious for the sake of being dumb and tedious. Genshin Twitter fanboys always defend it saying “It’s an artificial gameplay lengthener” yeah well you can lengthen a game without making me hate myself for playing it in the first place 😋 I guarantee there is NOTHING more RNG in video game history than Artifact grinding in Genshin
    *Resin Cap:* The cap is 160, and the average spent per domain is 20. And bosses cost 40… why? That means at best, you can only do 5 things before logging off. Oh and guess what? It takes 1 hour to restore 8 Resin. So if you want to do ONE EXTRA DOMAIN, you have to wait 5 HOURS
    *Wish Rates:* You have a 0.6% chance to get a 5-star, and a 5% chance to get a 4-Star character. The other 94.4% is literal trash. Pity does exist, but it’s every 90 WISHES and you can lose the 50/50. WHY?! People can easily spend 300K and only get one copy of the 5-Star character? WHY MAN?!
    *Itto:* Why does Itto have a huge six pack but he has noodle arms?!
    *Limited Time Events:* A lot of limited events have tons of story with lovable characters, or took lesser known characters and made them lovable. But they’re literally gone forever now, and some Event stories build off other Event stories from 6 months ago, half the playerbase will have no idea what’s going on. And the issue CONTINUES to this day! New characters are getting released AFTER their limited time events, and half the playerbase has no idea who these people are
    *Region Blocking:* When I started playing Genshin, I got Sayu, Ningguang, Kujou Sara, who were both from Inazuma and Liyue and required Inazuma materials to Ascend. I was still in Mondstat, so they ended up being completely useless until I got to Inazuma. And guess what? In order to reach their ascension materials, you need to play through another 30 hours of story quests. This WILL get worse once more regions come out. What will you do if you get a Natlan character while you’re on Mondstat? Sumeru is the newest region, but there are still FOUR regions left! Can you imagine how painful being a new player is around this time?
    *Inazuma:* The Inazuma story was so rushed I can’t even begin to get into it. Don’t get me wrong, Yoimiya is very hot. I love watching her breasts jiggle under the bandage and hearing her cheeks clap when she fires an arrow, but it’s not enough to save the writing. Everything was rushed, everything was mediocre, and everything was so insanely wrong for no reason. Inazuma had the hypest moments in Genshin history, but there was nothing to back them up. They just randomly happened. Inazuma was built up like it was heaven, but the writers got fired and ended up having this mish-mash of slop to show for it. I just wish we got to see Raiden and Eula spanking each other under the hot sun while they’re all sweaty and steaming and then Amber joins and gives them both a wedgi-
    *FOMO:* Fear Of Missing Out. Every Gacha game is defined by this feature. New McDonalds item? ONLY AVAILABLE FOR ONE WEEK? I better buy it before it goes away. That’s FOMO in a nutshell. Everything is run by FOMO, even trying to get scraps of Primogems for a single wish is behind a two-week barrier.
    *”Open World”*: I would barely call Genshin an open world game. It doesn’t deserve that title. You can go whenever you want until you run into an invisible barrier because you haven’t beat a quest. Maybe I can climb that mountain? Nope, I can only climb it if I beat a 10 hour story quest. Maybe I can fight that dragon? Nope, I can only fight it once I beat a 4 hour story quest. Maybe I can travel to other regions? Nope, the regions are literally blocked by story quest cutscenes. Calling Genshin open world is an insult to all open world games
    Don’t get me wrong, there were numerous times I adored Genshin. But there were also numerous times I lied to myself saying it would get better and it never did. Eventually, I completely stopped playing after Scaramouche’s banner. The fixes I wanted never showed up and being an F2P was only making it more frustrating.

      And inazuma had some pretty big problems all across it's run time,the slow beginning pushes the player into an illusion that the story will take its time to show you inazuma's state and the civil war carefully,only to follow it up by forcing 2 story quests on you to cover up how short the next act is,one of which being much more appropriate for after the war,not in the middle of it,followed by a nice act 2,only to speedrun the payoff and redeem a woman who we only met twice,both of which we fought her(nearky getting killed on one of them) by literally,the power of friendship and turn yae into a literall deus ex machina to keep the story going
      And how did the joke ran past right through you head?they were joking about how impossibly stupid things went on that such a scene happening wouldn't actually be strange knowing how power of friendship on the last second defeated a literall archon and redeemed her in 45 boxes of dialogue(yes,the redemption of the biggest antagonist of inazuma is 45 dialogue boxes long,that is shorter than swordfish's introduction)

    Why did I make this comment so long? Too many complaints, I guess.
    1: I don't think this is gonna change. There was a time when opening the map took a VERY long time to load, and they did _something_ to fix that, but I don't think we should expect much change. I also think they assume people use the interactive map for marking oculi, so 150 is actually a fairly okay amount.
    - Another improvement I'd like if they're going to change something is to have the Trees and Statues show the sigils/oculi you have and how many you need for the next level, instead of having to TP there to check.
    - Also more toggles on the map. They have one for domains only, please also make one for teleport waypoints (hide map pins/useless trash like shops no one visits), and one for placing pins, since the amount of times it tries to place a pin while that wasn't my intention is driving me INSANE.
    4: But that would ruin the fun of seeing your loot rolling off the side of a mountain you spent the last 10 minutes climbing, and now you have to jump/glide down to pick up your drops and you have to climb all the way back up again.
    7: They actually reduced the amount of points some of the weekly missions give back when they changed it to fit a 5-week schedule, and they didn't change it back when they switched back to 6 week schedules.
    8: Quick start event, but the character/location is involved in the quest you skipped so you could play the event quest.
    11: They made it even worse by giving the wood gadget a 15s cooldown despite having basically no range at all, and even the party popper got a cooldown that's way too long. Otherwise it would've been a fun little co-op gadget, almost like an emote.
    15: I don't mind duplicate cooking passives that much if it's on limited characters (for example, I don't have Hu Tao, so Ayato's passive is mildly useful to me). The only thing that annoys me is Jean/Barbara/Diona. At least Jean and Diona also have a specialty that benefits from their passive, but Barbara doesn't even have that.
    26: Disabling burst animations would massively improve performance on mobile devices. Not to mention that some of them change your PoV during the animation, but don't change it back to what it was afterwards.
    31: It's even worse with animals now getting aggro'd instead of running away, AND they drop 3 chunks instead of 1 or 2. The Parametric Transformer is the only merchant who'll take them off your hands.
    32: If they increased the exp and mora mobs give, there'd be no more reason to farm Leylines. That having been said, I do think that elite enemies should at least drop more materials. Lawachurls should drop more than Mitachurls, Rifthounds should drop more than whelps, _KAIRAGIS SHOULD DROP MORE HANDGUARDS THAN NOBUSHIS_ and large fungi should drop more mats than the tiny ones. Doesn't have to be much, but I think it's a travesty you can defeat a Kairagi at max world rank and not get even a single handguard drop.
    33: I just wish they'd increase the scaling for flat stats. No one (that I've seen) complains about the flower and feather main stats because the numbers are actually decent. Almost 5k HP and over 300 ATK is not bad because their value is only a little less than the % main stats.
    37: I might actually use my teapot if I could put more in it.
    39: I don't mind this one that much, because a lot of the gadgets I end up not using because they're not very valuable. The NRE is kinda useless because I usually have a shielder or a healer in my team anyway. The gliding gadget and the seed box are the only ones I usually care about, and the seed box usually wins out because I can't be bothered to switch. If the NRE could equip buff food or stamina food (which I currently don't use much because it's kind of a pain to go into my bag every 5 minutes to eat another one), or could automatically use revive food without having to still select it manually, it would've been a little more useful and it might've been a contender.
    48: Or just turn off certain character voices altogether (Paimon)
    61: Most of the Sumeru ones are at least not that long, especially compared to the Liyue ones. Liyue comms have exacerbated my already VERY strong dislike for children, and I genuinely wish I could punt these little pieces of trash into the harbor every time I got one of their daily comms.
    63: The only issue is that there's no expeditions for ores any more after Mond, and Mond still doesn't have any of the 20h passives AFAIK.
    82: It feels like these sets were originally designed to be used to fight elemental infused enemies, but that's retarded because we don't have loadouts and no one wants to switch artifacts just to fight a specific enemy. At least Pyro RES is decent in Burning teams Copium
    97: As a mobile player, I've just kind of given up. I'm fine with just grabbing 1 or 2 instead of all of them, I'm not even trying to struggle to get 1 extra fly every time. With the addition of Sumeru, there's also a lot more easily accessible locations that have several that are easy to grab, so I usually don't really run out that quickly.

      @@sourfar hoyoverse has not yet sold playable little boy characters in Genshin. we can’t say little girls will sell better than little boys yet. and even if hypothetically, little girls will sell better, that doesn’t necessarily mean the little boys won’t sell good.

    i want more map pins!
    high level domains for talents/weapons barely drop purple. consider rewards include gold, we could at least be guaranteed purple on the highest level.
    the amount of drops from older region enemies at higher ARs. if i wanna farm slimes, they should be guaranteed to drop 1 blue everytime. same for Nobushi enemies. at least guarantee the lowest drop for all of them and have the E/P ones do blue.
    gadgets: there are 4 spots on the wheel. we should be able to equip 4 gadgets.
    i actually want them to increase daillies and expedition numbers. at least 2/ region. also increase reputation quests/bounties.
    increase condensed we can hold. 28 at minimum.
    resin. there's just too many things that require resin. i know they don't want to make people who don't have time stay on longer, but there are too many bosses/domains (weapon, talent) for the amount we have.
    all weekly bosses should be 30 resin. let us get rewards from them 2-3 times a week and not just 1. there are too many characters. even if you only focus on a few, there are still several regions left. meaning more characters.
    please have character ascensions make sense. or talent ascensions make sense. why does Shenhe for example need something from Enkanomiya??
    they really need to go through and do balance patches on older regions/enemies/etc. hell even on characters. why does Xiao need def and Albedo need EM? why?

      Duuuuuude agree you are speaking facts.
      I'd say for weekly bosses they should be free, you get them to do once a week anyway, and if you really want to do them multiple times then each next will be 30 up to 3 times for each boss per week.
      Oh and yeah they should really go back and fix/ buff some of the old character like you said Xiao's C4 is defense scaling. Wtf is that Hoyo.
      Also if they really don't increase resin to "not take peoples time too much" then it's really dumb and infuriating. Like, it's better that it will be more resin to spend than less, and if you don't have time then just stop playing when you gotta go? Or just condense the resin. I don't see the issue here, if someone stays in game even tho they don't have time for it it's their problem lol.

    They did one thing I asked on surveys, which was increasing the number of teams you could make. 4 seemed too little to me so I was happy when they raised it to 10. The specters also counts as a huge win for me as a Venti main lmao. I actually didn't need artifact loadout all that much until Sumeru, but now with things like pure EM builds for dendro reactions (hi Raiden), I would very much want it. And more teapot load would be nice, I don't even bother to change my decorations and add new pretty stuff anymore because it doesn't let me and it sucks

    I have one big problem with the game: Make it so small attacks from enemies doesn’t put you in hit stun. This makes sense in fighting games for combos, but not in open world games. I can’t count how many times I have died from getting stun locked by hordes of enemies and not been able to attack.

    Thank you, you said everything I wanted to.
    I really love Genshin but being one of the older players( dragonspine) for the first time I am thinking of going to another game.
    I came to Genshin from LoL( yes, I like pain) and now I'm thinking of Wuthering wave from kuro games.
    The artifact system, abyss and booring overworld fighting is the problem. I love the reaction system, but everything dies on 1 second.

    I agree with all of those. Here are a few of mine. 1) Having 3 weekly teapot goals. Seriously? I've had the teapot since it first appeared and you still want me to build 10 pieces of furniture? Can we think of something else that's at least useful?
    2) Being locked out of Inazuma unless you go through quests. Annoying for new players who just want to farm mats for characters.
    3) Being told I can't continue with a quest because an NPC is busy on another quest. Those quests are usually the ones you walk by an area and get roped into starting because you came too close. Argh! Just let me continue the quest I'm on!
    4) No way for new players to play through the events that provided lore. Maybe they could offer these events on a DL per event basis like they did with languages.

    Stuff that has been fixed since before: alt sprint, now they can actually travel up certain terrain unlike before where your Sayu could get stuck on a random terrain because there's like 2 pixel cliff

    There’s a jumping bug that affects certain character models more than others that means you sometimes do the “heavy landing” animation whilst jumping on the spot, which locks you out of jumping for a few seconds. It makes jumping over raiden shogun’s waves extremely unreliable if you play any of the tall female characters, and it happens a bit on the lolis too. I have a couple of vids on my channel demonstrating the bug.

    A problem I noticed is that there is a missing archon quest log for the first time you meet Dainsleif. It’s strange because all the other quests have a log, but not the Traveler’s Prelude. Is there a reason for this or did they just forget?

      I think it’s weird too, but there is a reason for it. the first time you meet dainslief is in a world quest, not an archon quest and the log only keeps track of those and story quests. just an explanation, I totally think they should have made it into an archon quest.

    10:40 This issue was fixed in 2.6 iirc and they also made bow auto-target a lot better. As a Yoimiya main that was actually massive, it made Yoimiya both stronger and more enjoyable to play.

    As someone that hits the artifact inventory cap a lot, I'd really like to have a way to mark artifacts as "garbage" when I obtain them, and have those appear at the top of the list when I artifact exchange.

      Since the percentage of garbage artifacts is kinda high, I lock all the half decent ones. Anything not locked is garbage. It's not a perfect solution, but it saves me time.

    I would gladly take the reduced pity, as well as artifact and weapon loadouts. Also I wish enemies actually gave adequate experience. The exp books could just be used for power leveling weaker characters as well as new ones that way they wouldn't be considered useless.

    The reason for stuff proccing/decaying is cause you could get into combat at anytime. Ex. Widsith, the passive only works when you switch so if you switched and you weren’t in combat ,you would have to switch back and forth to activate it.

    Going to link your video on the next version survey under the heading "Why I no longer buy welkin and Battle Pass" Three years is waaaaay too long for a lot of these simple quality of life updates to still be absent from the game.
    Also, One I think should go on your list is: No ability to buy an account migration to switch your Traveler. I need a break from staring at Aether in every cutscene.

    Storywise, I have two major problems with Genshin: They never give the characters an Act II in their story (unless its the Archons... And Noelle for some reason).
    Just reading their stories in their profile is so boring and violates the rule in storytelling: Show, Don't Tell. They even had the audacity to put their lore in a time-limited event **looks at Kazuha and Albedo**
    And, I am so tired of hearing Paimon... So please, they have no legit reason to make the Traveler silent. The language barrier excuse doesn't cut it when they can speak in full sentences properly without sounding like Razor. Don't me started on self-insert protag cuz I definitely dont feel that. I just feel the Traveler has a personality and goals quite different from ours. This is simply a poor attempt to make them self-insert unlike the Captain in HI3
    Edit: Thanks to those replies for clarifying "show dont tell", apprently i got that wrong.. So sorry for that. However i still find the character lore wall of text boring. I know that silent self-insert protags (god that's a mouthful) are a thing in JRPGs, yes I played some of those and they are done well than this one, but they dont have to be in this game. Seriously. The trope is getting frustrating sometimes.

      I understand that the main reason silent protagonists exist is to encourage the player to self-insert them, but that being said, gods I hate this trope! Not only is this just an excuse for not going to the trouble of creating a deep character, it's also used to make the rest of the cast and worldbuilding gravitate around the protagonist (often to fulfill harem fantasies). Which is unfair, since neither Lumine and Aether, nor the rest of the characters in this game fall into these cheap tricks.

      Yeah the reason the MC is silent is self insert but in a game with so much lore and story where the MC plays a major role in that said story having a self insert MC is SO dumb and out of place. Considering the fact that the MC does talk in cutscenes and when they are using skills and such so like why don't just fully voice them? It just makes the whole thing incoherent and weird.

      Yeah.. I feel like this is one of the reasons why I feel more immersed when viewing the story alongside fanmade content because in game, there’s little to no ways of interacting with the lore and the characters in an interesting way. I do still enjoy long world quests and reading character stories from their profiles, but really.. personally, I feel like a story set in a game medium could do so much more in terms of creativity

      "Show, don't tell" isn't a rule, it's a guideline. These are problems stemming from a Westerner's POV and are generally more subjective than objective. You don't HAVE to follow the story if such small issues affect you, but if you do want to follow it, putting in a little bit more effort than you're used to to understand it is the least you can do.
      The stuff people complain about like Paimon explaining the story, Traveler being silent, Traveler being a self-insert protag with personality(seriously, this isn't that rare), etc. are VERY common tropes for Asian RPGs, mainly JRPGs, which Genshin is HEAVILY inspired by systemically. It's not going away anytime soon and it'd be foolish to think it'll change just to appease Western audiences, especially when most of it is made with their own audiences in mind.

    Coming back to this, two more things I’d want to add to the resin system:
    1. Increasing the condensed resin cap from 5 to 10.
    2. Allowing us to use condensed resin for world boss materials. It’s a fair exchange of 40 resin.
    While this won’t outright fix the resin system, I think it would go a long way in giving players more control and freedom over how they use their resin. And it would help combat the time-gated materials in the weapon and talent domains.

    Still just want either resin to regenerate faster or for everything to become cheaper. If resin does regenerate faster, then I would also like to see an increase in the amount of condensed resin you can make. Resources in this game are ridiculously overpriced

    If they just add loadouts we will want to farm different domains. But storage is still 1500 max. We just won't have storage for this.
    So first - increase artifacts storage limit (mb just for AR 55 or higher to save server space). Only after that - loadouts.

    I guess it's just me, but there's something cathartic about picking up loot, I was disappointed when they made loot drops stack, because now it just feels like I'm getting less loot. Autoloot would take that enjoyment away completely.
    HOWEVER, there is one place where I would want autoloot... ores. It already autoloots wood from trees, I think it should definitely autoloot ores once you've mined them too.

    This is based on nothing but my personal feeling, but I think the reason why the traveller can't switch elements yet is because they will add that in the story after they've released all the regions.
    Remember when the traveller used anemo and geo simultaneously in the fight with Childe? I think collecting every element will lead to the traveller becoming this super overpowerd being that can weild every element like the avatar or something. And if not, it's a real shame they teased the traveller being able to weild multiple elements at the same time and then never doing something like that again...

      IMO, the Traveler and other "starter" characters should be capable of achieving a similar power level to a Standard C0-C2 5-Star (ignoring Dehya) or a Limited C0 5-Star lategame. And I don't just mean AR 50+ and Character Level 90 (or 100?) for requirements:
      >> Unlock the Abyssal Spire.
      >> Obtain a Limited 5-Star character or weapon.
      >> Complete Natlan's Archon Quest Chapter.
      >> Traveler: Obtain the power of all 7 elements.

      Realistically making a free character OP isn't likely for financial reasons, but I think it'd be cool for the sole non or multi elemental character to be the abyss sibling (Aether for Lumine players, Lumine for Aether ones) to be a limited character banner at the end of the game. Maybe with the same upgrade crystals as Traveler but the extras are added as rewards for finishing archon quests. Even without the funky elemental system I think abyss sibling banner would just be cool though tbh.

    This may or may not have been said, but one issue I have is that if you're visiting someone else's world (example: you're helping to explore the map) and they wanna unlock a statue of the seven, you have to disband co-op/ make people leave so that they can unlock the statue and then you gotta rejoin them. It gets very annoying! Even the domains that are "hidden" can be unlocked in co-op! Statues are just another Waypoint! I shouldn't need to stop playing with people and get out, then wait for them to unlock and then rejoin!

    For me, the main problem of the game is the inability to transfer my progress to another server.
    Because of my work, I move to new countries once a year / half a year, and how annoying it is when a week ago you played with a ping of 20, and today your ping is 350.

    My biggest annoyance by far is no skippable cutscenes. Second place is probably the large number of event-only items that are just permanently inaccessible now and never seem to get reruns, even including BiS tailor-made weapons like Albedo's sword.

    1:57 Shatter scales with EM and a well-built Chongyun,Sayu or Noelle can do 13-19k Damage from every shatter, sadly it´s just copium damage

    I actually dont care for loadouts. I would want an artifact system fix. Gosh the system is so terrible.
    -Remove flat values from 5* Artifacts. They never have any real use. Even Hu Tao, the lowest base atk character in the game with a maxed 3* weapon gets more atk from an atk% roll than from a flat atk roll
    -honestly that alredy fixes the entire system and makes it bearable
    -maybe add in any system to either reroll substats or main stat. Might even be somewhat expensive when it comes to artifact xp but that would help so much
    -really, remove those damn flat values. Nilou can live without the occasional single flat hp sub because you want your rolls in hp% anyways

    Okay, yeah, I did, the crystalflies and shorts confirmed it. The shorts are alright, but they're too parallel with the ground. Where's the slants?

    The "auto pickup" things for drops on the ground at least got adressed in 2.8 since now items drop in stacks
