- Episode 48: John is installing modern marble stacked stone ledger block for a new fireplace surround. A neighbor was left high and dry by a contractor, so John stepped in to help them finish their dream fireplace project. This special project required 45 degree cuts of the marble stone for each corner. The gas fireplace insert is now perfectly highlighted by modern marble stacked stone.
I don't know what's more beautiful the wall ....or the Ladies. Great stuff.
Very much enjoyed watching you do this job, looks wonderful.
Turned out awesome. Great job!
😍Gorgeous!
Is that basic drywall you're attaching that to?
I want to know the difference in your corners- why does one look better than the other? What was the preferred technique? How can I do my corners just as nice? I bought the same stone you used.
It must just be a camera angle, because I use the same technique for both corners. I bevel cut them. That should do it!
When a contractor is that pathetic, you should call them out by name so no one else gets burned. I'm no lawyer, but I don't think it's libel if it's true.
Great job, John!
Hi! Great video…. If you don’t mind me asking, what name/brand is that stone miner ? Where did you buy it from? Following this video to DIY my fireplace and need to know because it is gorgeous. Thank you!
Can't remember the name but bought at Lowe's. It was the main brand there. Something arctic was the color.
Can you share brand/model of fireplace?
Can these tiles be removed in the future ? or replaced with a different one ?
Not without difficulty.
