Home owners have no idea the time, cost and mental anguish it takes to install these. They just think "it's a small area...this won't take long." Good job.

With help from Sal's videos I discovered that I really like tiling. It's not as easy as Sal makes it look but it is so awesome when You start from nothing and You get to look at new tiles in place!

The time it take to make those cuts as clean as they are is critical. You make it look effortless! Great work, as always.

Love the videos, you encouraged me tot tile my shower. Recently I hired someone to tile behind a wood stove, it all fell off.
Tiler blamed me , said it was too hot. Wood stove shop said he did a crappy job. They say cement board made the thinset dry too quickly because he didn’t do a scratch coat or backbutter enough. No thinset on back of tiles that fell off and most ridges in thinset aren’t collapsed. True?
His fault or do I need special thinset or certain tile?

Not your job to tell an "Expert" how to do their job. If it fails it is because they did not do it according to TCNA methods and standards and di not follow manufacturer recommendations. No need for special thinset, but an understanding of how to use it. If the tile guy took the job, it is his responsibility to know what is needed, what materials and methods to use, not your responsibility, that is why you hire a professional. Sounds like he did not follow very basic steps needed for a successful install.
