Stacked stone marble fireplace Part 2. Can you glue that marble over painted sheetrock to the ceiling or would it need additional support? That project looks like fun.
That’s great work! Most people don’t pay attention to the details like you! I’m trying to put stacked stone on cinder block but the wall has some wave to it. How would you go about doing that?
For a significant wave, I'd probably try to float the wall flat with mortar. You find the high spots, put a thick bed of wall float mortar in the low areas, feather it out, and then use a straight edge to screed it flat between the high spots. If you do it right when that dries you're left with a perfectly flat wall!

Hey Sal love your work I'm learning a lot quick question these are the only tiles that you don't need to put grout between them or you still need to. Looking at them been off set I think it be hard to grout.
Yeah you don’t grout stacked stone. The most you might grout in this project would be the marble section if they wanted to hide the shadow lines from the different surfaces meeting.
